We recently completed a 6 month major remodel of our home to include all principal rooms. Granite Bay Plumbing came highly recommended by our GC , Ken McGrath . Our primary contact at Granite Bay Plumbing is Amber Bloom. Most of our plumbing supplies were sourced from GBP with a lot of guidance from Ken & Amber. We completely remodeled our 3 bathrooms including the Master Bathroom and the Kitchen. Each room was gutted to the stud walls. Although we remodeled an older home in Pasadena 20 years earlier building & building product knowledge is not our strength. Products purchased ranged from bathroom & kitchen higher end faucets , sinks, shower components ( including elegant & functional grab bars for people our age who may well need them sooner than later ) , pop down sink drains , air activated disposal switches etc. Every product was color coordinated to the needs of the customer. A complete remodel requires a lot of coordination and GBP was there for us . We were kept informed of any back orders or supplier errors . Amber was very involved with any hiccups and kept our GC & the home owners fully informed about action plans to resolve any supply gaps. Granite Bay Plumbing sell higher end plumbing products and , as such, they serve perhaps more discerning customers. They make every effort to ensure total customer satisfaction even if the customer has a change of mind on a few items from what was originally ordered. We had such a situation with our 2 kitchen air activated disposer switches . We preferred one look over another and Amber worked with her supplier to get us what we wanted and we are very appreciative of her extra efforts. Associates work seamlessly at the store to ensure the customer has a great experience. They are informative and very polite . This is so important for customers who need a lot of help & guidance to purchase the correct product for their project. Although I made an effort to search the internet for better prices on every itemized fixture I was unable to find any better value. Granite Bay Plumbing Gallery-STAY AWAY. PSA: I will Never use Granite Bay Plumbing Gallery again. I had been working with them for over a month on my fixtures with many difficulties in the communications. I paid for my products in full, however I wasn't aware I wasn't charged for one faucet as it was not outlined in the balance of the multiple bids that went back and forth. I was told I had paid in full and just needed to pick the items up. When I messaged the rep on Monday letting her know i was coming in on Friday, I asked if ALL the fixtures were in. She said yes. We drove 45 minutes to get there and learned that, that was not the case. I won't go into all the details about the issue with my sink, and the communications that preceded this experience, but basically I returned it because it didn't come in the expected time period as the rep initially told me it was in stock. I specifically needed an in stock sink when the cabinetry was being built and the sink didn't make it. However, interestingly I was able to get the same sink from Home Depot in two days when i had to call and find out if the sink came in- which again is a whole other story. I spoke to the account rep about returning the first item and getting a refund. After learning the faucet was still not in after 6 weeks and we needed it next week, my husband went back in to return the faucet as well and somehow ended up owing money. Because I was confused, I went back in to get clarification because I made all the purchases and knew what I had paid and the sequence of those payments. Sarah the manager, immediately POPPED off on me where I had to ask her why she was speaking so aggressively. (I was just trying to understand why when I returned two items that I ended up owing money.) This was the MANAGER. She responded "because I'm busy and I already explained this." She spoke about 100 miles an hour and flipped through the paperwork with a pressed annoyed tone highlighting items and interrupting me when i was asking questions. I told Her "we are all busy there is no reason to speak to me like that." I had to ask her three times to calm down and slow down so we could work through it. She snapped at her employee, Erika too. In the end the easy solution after talking through it was we discovered I didn't actually pay for the faucet so I shouldn't have a refund for the faucet. Super easy to explain it that way instead of flipping out. So in other words, the faucet likely did not get ordered as it showed a zero item on the invoice. So instead of apologizing and saying, I'm sorry you actually didn't get charged for that faucet she was frantically trying to show me that I was an idiot for expecting a refund..... for an item I was told I paid for. I had no idea the faucet I was there to pick up was not included because it was listed on the invoice! I cancelled the sink and the faucet and one other item that was on the invoice which was also "back ordered" but not needed because it was for a second sink hole for a single sink. So the sink I never got was supposed to be a single hole only but a flange and strainer were ordered (or not ordered as I learned) - just a mess. I was a repeat customer here and I try to support local small business. Never again here! I went to Ferguson instead. BUYER BEWARE. There was six weeks of more confusing communication prior to this, but this was the absolute worst end to an already unnecessarily confusing situation. PS this was varying plumbing fixtures and a $3000, this was not just one $260 faucet. As of this post the $622 refund for the sink has not processed, however it was a Friday when this happened so I may see it next week. read more
