You'll travel south from Jackson to the Hoback Junction, traffic circle 3/4 turn. Take US 191 12 miles until you reach gravel/dirt Granite Creek Road taking a left. Do not go by the Yelp address listed as it's incorrect, and I haven't been able to find the specific address. Be prepared for an 11 mile bumpy ride while viewing gorgeous Granite Creek running through the Gros Ventura Mountains in the Bridger Teton National Forest. At the end of the road Granite Springs pool awaits you. Check for current pricing before you go, only open in summer (by car) and winter (by snowmobile, skis or dog sled). Also, important to note, you'll have no cell service within this area. Soak your cares away while enjoying the gorgeous Mountain View and the evergreen forest.

Small cars would not be recommended because there are tons large holes. The drive continue on the road and you will dead end into this destination. Walking up to the springs. Looks like a something out of a bad movie. Or the movie Vacation. Kinda scary or weird. Run down with shacks and satellite dishes. Once inside. There is no food or drinks allowed. So don't try it or you will get yelled at. The cost is for 1 hour. So plan on being booted after your hour. There are no towels or enough chairs. So be prepared to sit on the ground. The pool is cracked and run down. But once inside the water it is quite enjoyable. Our family had fun and it was a good experience. I would recommend based on the fact it was a fun time to get to swim in a natural environment. Overlook the pool cracks and moss growing it was worth the drive.

I stayed at Rim Station in their RV area for 10 days and it wasn't long enough…read more I highly recommend it here for many reasons.... 1) The location is superb!! you are 30 Min from Pinedale and Hoback and under an hour from Jackson. At night it is dead silent and pitch black and amazing!! 2) There are so many amazing places nearby to be outdoors. Whatever you enjoy....hiking/backpacking, fishing, kayaking, off-roading, horse riding and more. 3) The store (what i think would be called a mercantile) itself of Rim Station has some amazing local items. Local beer, wine and spirits, locally produced clothing, jam and other foods and misc goods. They are such and amazing supporter of local businesses. 4) From an RV perspective, the sites are level, the water is clean and if your up for staying in western Wyoming in the winter they are open year round. its nice with only 12 sites it stays nice and quiet. 5) They have occasional awesome events here. While i was here they had a night of sprit taste testing, live music and amazing home made chips and salsa. It was such an amazing evening meeting with a few fellow RVr's, Local citizens, people passing through and the staff. 6) And the most important part, the staff here!!! I cannot stress enough how amazing the team that manage the facility, grounds and store are!! Every single one of them are absolutely amazing, so personal and so in love with this beautiful area they live and work in. Of everything that make this place special they are the heart of it all! This is not the staff from years past!! so if you were here pre 2019 (i think that is around the time they took over) please, please, please come back and you will be amazed at the transformation here. My friends and I rented a Honey Bear cabin, and it was the perfect size for the five of us. Inside, there is a sink and mini fridge, and lots of pots/pans/plates to use. No stove, but that was fine by us. They provided a grill outside, which we used to grill some brats one night. The rest of the time, we just used my Coleman stove and cooked on one of the picnic tables outside our cabin. The staff here were so friendly and helpful, which I've found to be a trend in Jackson in general. Every night, they would come around and light a campfire (a gas campfire) for us, which was lots of fun to sit around and enjoy. The campground itself is very well maintained, it was super clean and pretty. The layouts of the cabins made it really easy to chat and connect with others staying at the campground, since we all shared a common area to cook and sit by the fire. Overall, I really really enjoyed this place. It's a great price (comparatively) if you're looking to visit Jackson/the Tetons but avoid the super high prices of places you may find located right in Jackson. I had no issue with driving a little extra to save a bit of $$. I would definitely stay here again.

Here are a few tips based on my experience: We lodged in Victor, Idaho, which was super convenient for Grand Teton NP. It's much more affordable, and the drive was beautiful. There is so much to do at GTP--I recommend exploring the park for at least 2+ days. Here's what I recommend. Start each day early: * 5:45 AM - Schwabacher's Landing (sunrise) * 6:45 AM - Snake River Overlook * 7:30 AM - Mormon Row (barn glow) * Jenny Lake Shuttle (8-8:30 AM, $20 RT) * Hike Hidden Falls (0.5 mi, 15-20 min) * Hike Inspiration Point (0.4 mi , 20-30 min) Take a break and have lunch at Dornan's Pizza Pasta Co. After lunch, head over to String Lake (swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding). End your day at Glacier View Turnout and Mount Moran Turnout for a scenic drive along Teton Park Road.

And for anyone needing a recommendation and why I liked staying here at the Jackson Hole/Snake River KOA, let me explain briefly.... I spent my final day at Yellowstone and before heading back to the Salt Lake City Airport back in Utah, I decided to spend the night here. Besides the fact that I love the outdoors and cozy log cabins, these campgrounds were located just outside downtown Jackson Hole, only 12 miles away. Being on the outskirts of Jackson made spending the evening here at my own little cabin pretty affordable. For $70, during the middle part of the month of May, I got to stay here. That was a great deal compared to resting in the heart of Jackson Hole where lodging was much more expensive. Also, the following day I was making the long drive back down south to SLC Airport almost 5 hours and 270 miles away. So for anyone looking to visit Grand Teton and Yellowstone....SLC airport is cheaper compared to flying into PRICEY Jackson Hole Airport. And this itinerary is the most common way to navigate getting to and from this spectacular section of the country. Finally, on my way back to SLC....I stopped along the way at the Wyoming/Utah border and explored Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Some of the scenery there was fantastic with colorful red backdrops and picturesque landscapes. I'd recommend stopping at Flaming Gorge if you have time on your way home...the way I did before my red eye flight back to Florida. Now onto KOA! I arrived during afterhours on the last day of my vacation. My cabin was already paid for so the owners/keepers left my keys in the front mailbox by the main house/front area with directions to my cabin. I had my own parking spot when I found it. It was not hard to find. Beside my cabin were rows of other cabins set up one by one and side by side to each other. The campgrounds were pretty large. Including mine, each cabin space had their own fire pit for barbecuing along with a picnic table. On the porch of each cabin, there were little swings on one side and a bench area on the other. This was accommodating in case you wanted to relax and look up to the stars at night before heading to sleep. My cabin also had a screen door to let fresh air inside. Inside my cabin, I had one double bed and although I was traveling alone, a bunkbed as well. In all, the cabin oozed rustic and quaint. I was happy I chose to stay here. My only slight issue was....(and although they warned me about it before making plans to stay here) they did not provide linens, pillows and blankets. I had to make due with what I had. My cabin had a good working heater because as I'm sure as is the case most nights....it gets cold. Just around my place on the left was the communal bathroom. There were 4 - 5 toilets with plenty of showers to use. I never really bumped into anyone while washing up. The bathrooms were clean and the water pressure was fine with good running hot water. Although my sleep was just okay since I didn't come with a blanket and pillows...it didn't deter me at all....I still very much enjoyed the quietness and peacefulness of the cabin and my stay. There's something about the great outdoors and campgrounds that always win me over! I think it's being able to appreciate nature that I enjoy so much. I grew up in a big city on the east coast and now I live in overpopulated South Florida. Also, I've became a real simple person the more I have aged. I'm someone who doesn't need luxurious accommodations. Ultimately...my experience here at KOA - Jackson Hole was more than suffice. It fit in perfectly with my travel plans coming from touring Grand Teton and Yellowstone NP's, making my way towards Flaming Gorge Reservoir, and eventually returning to Salt Lake City for my flight back home.

The camp is great though definitely expect rustic accommodations with the exception of the beds, which are (heavenly) real mattresses. The horses and ride were great - very well-mannered horses and a wonderful evening ride through wildflower-filled mountain meadows, creeks, and up and down reasonably challenging terrain. What my daughter (and I) loved most were the people - Sam was a great cook and friendly guide and our other guide Mariah was incredibly patient with my daughter's barrage of questions and let her help put away tack and feed the horses after the ride. A truly memorable Wyoming experience with many great memories.

It's also just down the road from the entrance to Yellowstone so it's easy to make this horseback riding adventure one of the stops on your trip! They are the ONLY horseback riding with permits to enter Tetons and Yellowstone . Other Yellowstone horseback riding is through xantera or whatever the main Yellowstone commercial Company that manages all the hotels/restaurants/staff for general stores, very Disneyland/commercial. Wilderness Trails is family owned, rural, one of a kind. We felt like a family on the prairie. They literally plop horse corrals and tents and cooking station in the middle of grand Tetons and Yellowstone on a meadow/prairie like plot of land. All the staff live there in tents and some campers and so you basically join "their family" and live that life. They had a professional chef that came from a Michilin Star restaurant (he was not technically a Michilin chef) but food was amazing and so well Done! We got to eat with our horse wranglers and the chef and felt like part of their family. They all had their own dog and my kids had so much fun running around with all The doggies:) they had a warm outdoor like shower and you are in the middle of nature bathing amd my daughter said it was the best shower of her life! It was my 7 year olds first time horseback riding and she did just fine! My other kids were 10 and 12-they wanted to "live there" and asked if we could have their bday parties there. He kept saying "This is awesome!" as we drove thru lower Yellowstone (referring to the gaperguide). So, I downloaded the TravelStorys app from the Android Play Store... Selected the tour I wanted, had it downloaded after I paid, and then went on my tour. Instead of having to be stuck on a 12 hour tour in a van with a bunch of strangers stopping and going when the tour guide decides WE WENT AT OUR OWN PACE. Anything and everything you could want to know is given to you as you drive thru the park. Bathroom locations, places to eat, which parking lot is better, where the attractions are, etc. We got to pick and choose where to stop and how long to stay. There's even background information about the different stops! Just like a real tour! THIS IS A GODSEND. Especially in these Covid-19 times. Definitely going to be using this service again!!! Super important to do all your downloading on wifi before heading to a National Park (as most parks have poor cell and 4g). And start the tour right before heading into the park. If you accidentally exit the app, go to the TravelStorys app (give it time to load, you don't need internet service as long as it's been previously downloaded) and simply select your tour again. It took my phone a while to load after I accidentally exited out. I had a mini heart attack cuz I thought I needed internet to restart, but it ends up that I just needed more patience to let the app load.

We were only there for two nights, so we didn't use the stovetop, but the fridge and coffee maker were really handy. Checking in was easy and the lobby had some items for sale - souvenirs, snacks, and beverages. They also have coffee and some fruit each morning in the lobby. There's an indoor pool/hot tub, but we didn't end up taking advantage of those. We were lucky to have a parking spot right outside the cabin door for our whole visit, which was convenient. They don't assign parking spots, but there were quite a few open when we were there. The cabin was cozy and clean. I wouldn't recommend it for more than two people, although it can technically sleep up to four with a couch that converts to a bed. The bathroom was clean and the shower was great, with plenty of hot water for us. The location is excellent; you're only a ten minute walk or so from downtown, so we didn't have to drive very much while in the area. Be sure to check out the Momo Shack for bison momos (dumplings)! I loved staying here and would check it out again if I'm back.

The accommodations were extremely nice, one of the best during our 10-day drive. You're within walking distance from some restaurants, the town is cute, the rooms are clean and equipped with kitchenettes, and toiletries are provided. However, while sitting outside with my dog, a man approached me (despite my dog barking at him he continued to approach) to inform me that cats were not allowed and he would be reporting us. I truly had no idea and made this clear, I figured he worked there but based on his responses to my questions ("is there anything we can do about it?" "I don't know, just don't let them find out but I'm still reporting you") I think he was actually a random person staying there. It honestly hit the point where he was harassing me for about 5 minutes about it, it wasn't a productive conversation and left me a bit distraught because I truly had no clue. We searched everywhere for something that outright said there were no cats allowed, because we are truly not people who like to do the wrong thing and felt horrible, and the way this man kept telling us he was going to be reporting us made me very concerned we were going to be kicked out of our accommodation at 11pm. I've seen other reviews that say the same thing: if cats outright are not allowed, this really needs to be made clear on the website. On the official websites for Cowboy Village, it either says pet-friendly or dog-friendly, and perhaps we should've been able to read between the lines and assume that meant no cats allowed, but that shouldn't be the customer's job.
