Buyer Beware! In June 2024, I hired this company, and paid them upfront over $3200, which was 1/2 of the total price. I hired them (which apparently has multiple names, (Granite For You, BSI Surfaces, to name two) for a relatively small kitchen counter top replacement. I WAS TOLD 2 TO 3 WEEKS MAXIMUM FOR JOB COMPLETION. Instead of 2 weeks, after ALMOST 2 MONTHS WITHOUT A KITCHEN (NO SINK, NO RANGE, NO OVEN NO COUNTER TOPS), and minimal communication from them, I fired them and told them that I expected my deposit returned forthwith. Approximately a week later they called and said that the boss, PAULO DE TARSO SANTANA CAMURUGI wanted to "make a quick visit to apologize in person." He came to my home and spent some time offering a multitude of excuses why the job wasn't completed (there was a car accident???, there was a flood, they lost their measurements twice, our stone was blocked in by other stone???), and asking if he could start the job now. I told him that I hired a different company the day that I fired him, and they would be completing the job the following day. THAT'S TEN DAYS FROM START TO FINNISH. I told him his efforts were far too little, and far too late. He assured us that he would return the money we had paid. Two days came and went and we did not hear from him. I texted them, and was told "sorry, he's out of town", then "he can pay partial now", then "he will return the full amount", then "he needs time to save up for the full amount." And now, 4 months later, nothing from him since then. Many of these conversations are on my phone in text messages. I have dealt with some poor contractors before, but this company, and specifically the purported owner, PAULO DE TARSO SANTANA CAMURUGI is without a doubt the worst, most unprofessional experience with a contractor I have ever had. I can see by several other reviews of this company that he has had lots of experience making promises that he did not keep. read more
