Shrimp burger. The shrimp were not clean at all and as you can see still had poop.

If I could give a 0 that's what they would get. Terrible food and service. I ordered a shrimp burger and the shrimp were not cleaned at all. Some still had the poop in them. DISGUSTING!! I asked for my money back and even to exchange it, they simple told me it not their issue. That's the way the factory sent it. Don't do it!! I posted a picture of it so please look. I am also calling the health department.

Casual eating establishments are de rigeur in Louisburg and are principally dominated by major fast food franchises. While this is not the sort of town to sniff out the cutting edge of molecular gastronomy, there are some independent staples present. It is terribly easy to decide to satiate one's hunger by a quick turn into a drive thru at Wen-BK-McD-TBel-Boj etc... while overlooking one tiny very, very casual place one block off the main drag. Grannys is amongst the independent staples that, fortunately, has not disappeared. This is a small square shaped building in need of some cosmetic assistance. But, rule # 1 of good casual food is the uglier the better. You can order your food two ways at Granny's: walk up window or drive thru window. It was raining so, I bravely stayed in my car. As I wasn't very hungry, despite it being lunch time, I ordered only a single 1/4 lb cheeseburger with my choice of condiments from the pleasant voice behind the speaker. I could have ordered from an extensive list of menu choices.( hot dogs, sausages, trout, flounder, BBQ, grilled chicken pork chops, ...) I stuck with an old reliable for my first time here. After a brief wait, I received my burger and I drove to a nearby parking spot to open the warm, white bag. As I removed and then unwrapped the simple burger, I noted the neatly assembled simplicity of my soon to be lunch. The bun was fresh and warm, possibly even steamed. The burger had been apparently made on a griddle. With my first bite, I appreciated the the freshness of the flavors. The meat was juicy and had a great tender texture. There was no doubt in my mind, it was real meat. It simply had a quality of a real burger you might take the time and care to prepare for your self at home. On my next visit, I'm excited about trying the rest of their menu !

Online it says they close at 11 pm but I got here at exactly 10:34 pm (I'll attach a ss of my time…read moreas well ) but they're already closed and I do understand it's a bit late but either they closed early or they need to update their time online

This was the worst service I've ever received from a fast food restaurant. We were just passing…read morethrough. We ordered French toast stick combo, bacon egg & cheese croissant combo and a bacon sourdough sandwich combo. The woman at the window had no personality, handed us our drinks and bag and walked away. We looked in the bag and had NO hash browns or syrup for the French toast. We sat there until she came back and told her we didn't get our hash browns or syrup. She tossed one syrup and ONE small hash brown in a bag, handed it to us and walked away. We had to honk the horn to get her back to the window. We let her know we were supposed to have THREE hash browns. She told the line workers and but two more in a bag, handed it is and, again, just walked away. No apology or anything. THEN, our hash browns were barely warm, had fries mixed in (at 9:15am btw), I had two tiny pieces of bacon that hardly covered 1/4 of my croissant and my husband's sourdough bread wasn't even toasted or anything... grabbed straight from the bag and made into a sandwich. My husband couldn't even eat the sandwich because it was so nasty. We will NEVER go there again!! When did Burger King get so crappy?? I would have given 0 Stars if I could!

Finger-licking Good…read more This is a plain, no-frills, old-fashioned eatery serving up good, simple, home-cooked food with a smile in an old-west setting. The only concession made to frilly decor is the artificial yellow Marigold that crowns the paper towel holders on each table. The menu includes: Burgers and Sandwiches, Soups and Salads, Appetizers and Speciality Plates. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. Be sure to check out the Daily Lunch Specials. The only thing missing is a cold beer. The Thursday Special, 1/2 Pound Riblets, is exceptionally good. While the meat does not exactly fall off the bone and takes a little work, there is plenty of it and it's surprisingly tender. The BBQ sauce is a nice balance of sweet, heat and spice. The hand cut Fries are best when smothered in the self-serve Cheesy Sauce. Another special, Chop Steak with Onions & Peppers is another winner. It's more like a cube steak than a hamburger steak and has a distinct chargrill flavor. Remington's Cole Slaw is some of the best I have tried. The cabbage is fine-diced with a hint of sweetness and refreshingly crisp. The BBQ Plate is OK, but not the reason I go to Remingtons. The pulled pig is rather bland and lacks that unique Eastern NC BBQ tang. We particularly like the Geronimo Burger. This double patty monster weighs in at a substantial 1/2 pound with just the right amount of zesty Chili and sweet Cole Slaw. All burgers come on a large, soft but chewy, slightly sweet bun. The Buffalo Wings were meaty and tender enough, but the Teriyaki Glaze just didn't taste right (next visit I'll try the BBQ). I did like the BBQ Beans - slightly sweet and slightly tangy - a nice combination. Be sure to ask for the 10% Senior Citizen's or Veteran's Discount.

Ordered to go as a first time customer - order was not ready when it was supposed to be, however…read morethe restaurant was very busy, maybe after church crowd. The establishment is comfortable and casual, somewhat bare bones. The biggest thing I noticed was the front of the restaurant is very smoky, my eyes were watering. The cook area is right in front of you when you wait for your order, so the smoke is kind of billowing out. The employees were very friendly. Parking lot is pretty small, location is right off S Bickett. On to the food - my cheesesteak was pretty good. Sweet potato fries were undercooked. Baked beans were different than I'm used to, pretty spicy and had large onion slices. Burger was good, coleslaw good, onion rings not good. We'd order food from here again but might choose different items.
