Outstanding breakfast. Fast foodie type. You order at the counter and there are a set of tables along the windows. Food is served on plastic trays in styrofoam containers. A big "welcome to Sunrise" greeting awaits you at the counter. The staff is well coordinated and works hard., A definite short order restaurant offering biscuits and platters with eggs. I had the big breakfast platter with my eggs sunnyside up, bacon, sausage, grits, and a biscuit. It was all very well prepared. I mix sweet and half sweet iced tea. I call it hybrid tea. The tea is very fresh and delicious. They also offer Coke products in their fountain and Dr. Pepper. Cheerwine would be a nice touch here. I will probably make the trip again on a nice sunny day like it is today. The food is delicious and worth the trip. read more

Small town restaurant, doesn't look like much but the biscuits are five stars to me. They are warm, soft, buttery, with a light fluffiness. Not hard out the outside and chewy. I ordered inside, the sweet lady at the front took my order and was managing drive thru orders, doing a spectacular job too! It doesn't look like much but I left full and satisfied. I stopped here recently, they are doing drive thru only due to Covid, and the service was very fast. The menu is pretty big for mostly breakfast-y foods - you can add cheese, tomatoes, etc to all types of biscuits with different proteins. The unsweet tea was actually pretty good! I'm guessing this is a popular spot for the locals as there was a small line and the restaurant is located right on the main drag. Decided to try this place because saw it on GoldBelly's food delivery site and it was local to me. Chose the Louisburg location since it's the original location and a quieter drive than Chapel Hill. The biscuits are really large and yummy. You will no doubt be full after eating one of these bad boys! Got the Bad grandpa special and girlfriend ordered the bacon/egg/cheese combo. The drive thru was packed but moving and inside, it was almost a full house. I returned here to try, what else, a bacon egg and cheese biscuit during breakfast hours in the hope of getting an even fresher sandwich than my first visit. Freshly cooked eggs, melting cheese, and tasty semi crispy bacon hit the mark. Earlier is better for the biscuits. Their fast service, fresh biscuits and downright uber affordable prices makes me bestow another star upon this gem. Driving through rural NC and all of a sudden I find myself craving biscuits and gravy and a cell signal. Well I found both here, or did I? Good sized town with this roadside restaurant which looks like an old chain building that's gone underground. The parking lots full, they have a drive up window with cars lined up and the sign says Biscuits so it must be good. Now I was craving biscuits and gravy so the ordering and lack of attention was all on me. I ordered biscuits with gravy and two eggs. The two old women in the small kitchen didn't pay much attention other than I think i took them out of their routine. The meal came with grits and of course I ordered coffee, like $8. Now with a drive up window outside and the inside filled with people having coffee and talking, I should have noticed everyone came to order a biscuit sandwich. This places serves biscuit sandwiches and nothing but. Mine came unassembled so that threw them out of their routine a little. The food was fantastic though. The sausage was a patty (of course) but fresh pressed and the eggs were scrambled (duh) but light and fluffy. The biscuits were fantastic! Light, fluffy, soft and very fresh. They were big biscuits but really tender. Made fresh that morning and with care. Not like I'll be driving through here again that I know of but for those people that are in the area and looking for a great quick breakfast this is most definitely the place to stop! KT read more

Stopped in on a whim. The staff was super helpful as I had no idea what to order. It all sounded good. Ended up with the biscuits and gravy with a pork tenderloin. It was amazing! Couldn't resist the addition of a cinnamon roll (double actually). Searched Yelp looking for a restaurant in the area that was not a chain and came across the Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen. This place did not disappoint, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were very friendly and helpful in explaining the dishes. Because it was close to closing time, the staff brought out 4 fresh cinnamon rolls from the oven and provided a bag to take them home.
