The kids at Grant are pathetic. Installed a Lennox ac condenser lopsided without leveling dampers. Vibrated like crazy. Came out and offered to correct it at an exhorbitant price. Serviced the blower. Jammed a mangled 25" filter into space meant for a 20". Heh, heh, he'll never know. Fired them and fixed the problems myself. read more

Replace parts, charge you, and unit still does not work. Correct, unit does not work after multiple visits. Zero stars! Labor cost is through the roof. No follow-up. Company is a scam! Installed system in 2021. Nightmare dealing with their sales rep. Installer refused to listen to me about exhaust output. Issues with system less than year later and grant told us it was not real. System broke today and they told us a couple of weeks to come out. It's early July. She claimed that since they hadn't been here in a year we were not a priority. After clarifying they were out last year , she said maybe next week. Hour later calls and says maybe tomorrow. Asks for a CC. I told Lee or Leanne, we decided to stop doing business with grant. After being a customer for at least 5 years I just received a call from John Grant saying they would no longer service me! He said he had two guys out etc etc. I had called 3 times over the last few months requesting my new contract and kept being told they were behind in sending them out. I called again today and was told by a very nice woman that they should've informed me before and that they didn't like when I questioned a charge back in 2020 regarding my ductless airconditioning which they had agreed was incorrect in reversed. As recent as this past summer when my hot water heater broke and the service guy came and did nothing except offer me towels as the basement was flooded and when the next day I called and Donna requested me to take down my yelp review, which I did, and another tech came and stopped the leak. She also "off the record" said I'd get quicker service to replace it if I went else where. It's December now and only after multiple calls am I being told to go elsewhere for my furnace to be serviced! CUSTOMER BEWARE! In other words don't count on this company and the owner, being reliable. They definitely don't care about how they treat longtime customers!!!! read more

Didn't show on June 22 for an appointment I had to pay for in advance. Was told that they had June 29 on their schedule, which I accepted as my error. Also didn't show during the four hour window on June 29. Called twice to find out why and different people both transferred me to a mailbox that was full and not accepting messages. We had a gas leak in our basement on a Sunday afternoon. Grant's technician, Sal, responded from another job, called when he reached our home, confirmed the leak, and helped us to follow up later in the evening. He was pleasant, helpful, and communicated in a very timely fashion. We're very thankful for his assistance. read more

Grant is excellent with providing experts to assist you for hvac needs. I had an off hours emergency that needed immediate attention last night. The tech assigned to us (Kelly) was professional and communicative! I appreciate that 100%. This review is mainly about the follow up conversation with Linda in the office today. She first told me a tech was on their way again- something I wanted to confirm with the homeowner with before moving forward (as there are house staff schedules and reviewing of quotes to consider). After clearing up that no one was on the way, I asked when I could expect an invoice for the service done and a quote for follow up repairs. These are standard questions so I can establish a time line and next steps. Linda became flustered and continued to repeat that because they were busy this past weekend and people were on vacation, there would be delays. From a customer service standpoint, these are not my concerns and don't help me do my job. She could not summarize the services that were done and seemed very inconvenienced that I was asking. Heavy sighing, cutting me off, etc. I thanked her for her patience and requested to speak to a colleague who could provide me with some details- which she did. I'm confused why simple questions and my need to collect info was so triggering. I didn't yell, I didn't get snarky. I just needed info to do my job (I work for the homeowner and can't go back to him with "eh, they don't know anything, sorry"). I spoke to Lee, who answered all my questions and took down my number for follow up. Easy as pie. read more

From start to finish, dealing with Grant was top -notch. The guys arrived on time, they were very courteous, professional, and really understanding. They went over every aspect of the install before they began, we looked at the area where I wanted the condenser to go, they voiced some concerns, but assured me, they'd get it done. They were aware that I wanted the line sets run a certain way, but let me know that given where I wanted the condenser that may not be possible, When they realized that my desire to have the lines on the other side of the duct was not possible (given where I wanted two until outside), they showed me exactly why they couldn't do that - and suggested that if I wanted the line sets to go there, they would have to move the condenser quite a bit closer to the front of the house - which they sensed I wouldn't want. They explained ALL of the factors involved and let me make the final decision before drilling an unnecessary hole etc, Having had numerous crews in my home over the years, this was a really welcome change - it is rare that a crew shows such regard for the owner's desire. They simply explained my options, and let me make the choice, Aside from that, they were very neat and clean and assured me that they would run the line sets very tight and neatly. They also triple checked how I wanted the condenser to face, and showed me all the possibilities before placing the unit. In my experience this is very rare, Typically, a crew takes the easy way out, and then alerts me that "sorry but we did it this way..." In short, your crew was respectful of what I wanted, and did their best to accommodate my wishes. They were pleasant, courteous, and respectful of my home. After the install was finished, they made sure that I was happy with everything, showed me why they had to do things the way they did given my concerns, and left the work area spotless. The unit was perfectly level, the lines were tight, they filled the gap in the wall, etc. The independent electrician also was fantastic - he was running a bit late, yet had the courtesy to call to alert me. His work was pristine. Looking at all of the wires and lines, and the meticulous nature with which they were installed, I am very impressed with his work. Again, I can't say enough about the professionalism of the Grant crew. I had no doubt that Grant was the best choice for this job, and I am so happy with the result. I read more

My house runs on propane and I used Grant several years and was satisfied with the repair work. Customer service, not so good. When a repair was higher than estimated, I called the office. The woman I spoke with was incredibly rude and loud, so I switched to another vendor that charges about 30% less for propane. Annual bills are much lower. read more
