Ed and team have been helping me for many years now and I have never been disappointed. Their responsiveness and expertise are really unmatched - heat / AC - ECE has helped me with everything. I actually never write reviews, but after this weekend I had to just to share how pleased I am. I had a heating problem and it was getting much colder and an electrician couldn't figure it out so I called ECE. Ed asked for pictures spotted what was wrong and called me 3 times (at no charge!) to walk through how to fix it, including recommending that I go to an auto shop to find the part I needed (which I obviously would have never thought of). My heat came back on and the weekend was saved. I don't know what I would have done without them. Really an amazing team all around - couldn't be more trustworthy and reasonable. ECE Air and Heating has been servicing my heating system for 25 years. 12 years ago they installed a central air system into my 1730 home in Southampton which was not an easy feat given that they crawl space available to run the ducts is just 3ft. high.Thus far I have not had one maintainence issue with the system. ECE also replaced my Furnace and Hot Water System five years ago. I have had just one small issue with the hot water heater since. Eddie and Rob showed up the same day that I called. They were able to identify the issue right away and fixed it promptly. Eddie always arrives in good spirits with a story to tell and some laughter. I have a mold issue I'm trying to solve with existing HVAC company that's not helping me so I called ECE today and got Eddie on the phone. I was ready to have him come here and diagnose and perhaps help us out but he spent 20 min on the phone with me to save me more $$, he diagnosed the issue and told me how to mitigate the mold from recurring this winter based on his experience and knowledge from listening carefully. Wow!!! I've had 2 other HVAC companies unable to provide the suggestion and service Eddie did today for free. Our AC broke down during the 4th of July holiday which is one of the hottest times of the year! We (my family, my pets, & I) were in agony over the heat. I called several companies and could find no one to come service our unit. I finally decided to try and do an internet search and came across ECE Air Inc. I placed a call and a short time later I received a response. I explained my situation and Eddie was able to set something up for his team to take care of our unit. I personally installed my Nest thermostat back in January and it worked fine until August. Out of no where the thermostat stop detecting the Rh cable and the Nest would not hold a charge even though it had a C wire. I called Eddie last week, he tried giving me instructions to fix the issue over the phone at no cost but I simply didn't want to mess with the wiring. His staff arrived this morning and like Eddie had stated, it was an issue with the wiring from the condenser to the furnace. They also suggested to install a safe T switch in which I had them do. His staff was friendly and professional. They were in and out within the hour. The price was fair. I will definitely be calling them soon for other annual maintenance. read more

I recently had an issue with my HVAC unit that froze up causing warmer air blowing into my house the day before a holiday weekend. I called ECE and not only did Eddie answer the call but gave me suggestions to diagnose and fix the issue free of charge by simply cleaning the filter. He then followed up a few days later to check in and make sure everything was ok. In my book that's old school honesty and kindness!! My a/c unit stopped working. With no where to turn I started calling companies I found on line. No one could come for weeks as they until I reached Eddie, the owner. He sent people out after hours to look at my unit that apparently had crashed. I needed a new compressor as my unit burnt out all of the fuses in the house. Our central air conditioning unit stop working during a heat wave; we scrambled to find a company that would make a house call on a Sunday. We found ECE Air on Google and called them on a Saturday evening. I cannot say enough good things about the guy at ECE. We have a house built in 1890. They had to re-do the duct system and wouldn't give up until it was done perfectly. We added in a 2 zone AC / Heating unit. Quite a bit of our ducting had rotted so they replaced it for a very reasonable price. They are hard working and meticulous.
