It turns out Grant has been in the business so long that most folks in the south bay know him. After 3 yrs of searching for a home we finally found one and out of the entire process working with Amber Roberts who I believe is Grants Senior Loan Associate was THE MOST difficult. There was absolutely no communication from her and she assumed everything. Grant left on vacation and completely fell off the face of the earth. He never once checked in with us during the loan process. Once he got back on a MONDAY he didn't call me until I sent him an email stating how upset I was and then he called me on THURSDAY! During our loan process, 1. Amber failed to communicate that ALL the money we saved wouldn't be able to be used towards our down payment because they were cash deposits. When I asked her how much $$$ she kept repeating herself and completely avoiding the question. Until finally after getting really upset she sends me an email the next day. 2. Once we got that email we realized that we had to use funds from our business... which threw us completely off because She assumed it would be OK to completely deplete our business account without even telling us. We received an email 2 days before we had to wire our funds! 3. She told my realtor she was going to put our loan on hold without even consulting with us because she misunderstood my realtor. He was asking if we could Transfer funds so we don't have to deplete our business account! Since again she did not answer the question my realtor suggested he consult with another lender to find out if it would be ok to transfer our funds! She immediately got defensive and threaten to put our loan on hold without even consulting with us! 4. Neither grant nor amber contacted us to let us know our loan has funded! We heard from our realtor. Super rude throughout the entire process. Never picked up her phone. I always had to email and wouldn't get a response for at least 3-5 hours or sometimes a call the next day! I'm amazed at how everything was handled! We CHOSE them and all of these issues could have been avoided with better communication! I'm really disappointed on how it was all handled.. purchasing a home is stressful enough and they made it SO MUCH MORE stressful! It's too bad they didn't even try for rectify the situation. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more
