What a great place to dine that serves up bold and flavorful dishes. I very much enjoyed the ambiance and presentation end to end. The service here is excellent and everything ran smoothly with zero issues. The bread and butter here is excellent while waiting for your meal. I had the beef stroganoff, which is a comfort dish for me. It's hearty and delicious so I couldn't wait to try this dish. I was certainly surprised because I was not expecting it to be incredibly flavorful. It was so good I couldn't stop eating it. Highly recommended! We ended our meal with the devil's advocate flourless chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream, which was delicious for being flourless. What a perfect way to end a tasty meal. My only complaint is the parking because we didn't know where we could park. We ended up getting a ticket because we thought we could park nearby. Overall, I'd give 3.5 stars. Granville is a chain restaurant, similar to the likes of Olive garden, Chilies, etc, but probably a tad more upscale in terms of the overall decor and vibe. Service was fine, but nothing special. We were greeted, seated and the waitress took our orders. Once the food arrived, our waitress barely came by again except towards the end to drop off our check. Other staff did come by to clear our empty plates from the table, so that was nice. We did notice that they only provided 1 serving spoon for all of our dishes. Would've liked a serving utensil with each dish to minimize cross-contamination and mixing of flavors. Throughout our dining, there were flies and small bugs flying around, which was off-putting and annoying as we had to keep swatting them away from landing on our food. 1. Farmhouse Beet Salad (5/5) It's a good thing this was the 1st dish to arrive at our table as it left a good 1st impression. The roasted organic beets were fresh and had that earthy-tone to it. Dressed with their lemon-oregano vinaigrette, feta, arugula, and candied pecans. OMG, those candied pecans were heavenly. It's crunchy and toasted to perfection. the candied flavor of it was addictingly delicious. If they have a menu item of candied pecans, I'll order it any day. 2. Trio Taco (2.5/5) You can choose between chicken, steak, shrimp, plant-based chicken, or jackfruit. We opted for steak. The steak was fine, but for BBQ sauce used was just a dish killer. They need to rethink the choice of sauce used in these tacos. Also, not a fan of corn tortilla. Wish they gave a choice between corn and flour tortilla. 3. Artisan Bread & Butter (5/5) Their sourdough bread sliced, grilled and brushed generously with garlic olive oil. Severed with a side of whipped duckfat butter. I've never had duck fat butter before, so this was a pleasant experience to try. Not to worry, there's no duck flavor at all. It's almost like cream cheese but lighter and airer. 4. Ahi Filet (1.5/5) Sesame-crusted ahi with a side wasabi aioli. The ahi was so-so; definitely, not the freshest and there's no "melt-in-your mouth" joy. The wasabi aioli sauce was good though. There is a subtle spice kick from the wasabi. It's served with a side of soba noodles that was gingery and peanuty in flavor. Unfortunately, the noodles were overcooked as they stuck to each other in clumps. 5. Bacon & Blue Burger (4.5/5) Quite a satisfying burger consisting of wagyu beef, duroc bacon, aged blue cheese, caramelized onions, and arugula. It's juicy, meaty, slightly tangy from the horseradish aioli and sweet from the port wine reduction. The brioche bun was pleasantly soft. 6. Thai Ginger Salad (3/5) This salad consists of romaine lettuce as the base. It is dressed with Thai sesame dressing, which was underwhelming. The toppings for this salad include fresh mango cubes, slaw, slices of avocado, fresh peanut bits, tomato and soba noodles. It's not a bad salad, but for the price, I do not think it is worth it. 7. Superfood Longevity Salad (4/5) A salad consisting of mixed greens (lacinato kale and spring mix) with a variety of rich, nutritious toppings (organic beets, quinoa, pomegranate, radish, blueberries, almonds, dried Bing cherries, and pepitas). The dressing is a sherry vinaigrette that's tangy, creamy and light. All the ingredients came together well. If you are looking for a hearty salad, this is for you. 8. Hibiscus Rosé (4/5) Sparkling rosé with hibiscus flavor infused with grapefruit skin to give it a bit of citrus note and topped off with a micro flower to add a special touch of decor to the drink. In summary, the food looks better than it actually tastes. We came for dinner but they were able to accommodate us with sandwiches from the lunch menu. We had a vegan in our group and our server offered recommendations for sandwich options and sides. The menu has a wide variety of choices including plant based, gluten free and vegan options. So many of the choices sounded good. I didn't want anything too heavy so I narrowed down to the little gem Caesar salad and added grilled chicken. It was the right portion and what set it apart was the nested little gem leaves dusted with finely shaved Parmesan. I tasted the farmhouse beets that one person ordered and the blend of arugula and beets with candied pecans and feta was the perfect balance of flavor and texture. The one member of our group that didn't care for her meal ordered the Thai ginger salad and they didn't charge for it when she mentioned it was spicer than she expected. The space has a great vibe. There's outdoor seating and the interior space is very open and has a lot of window space and light. There's also ample bar seating. They can also accommodate groups. Im giving this place a 4 star only because of service, the waitress was kind gave us time and offered great suggestions. In reality the food was not great. It was bland and portion was just smaller than I expected. There is a location in Pasadena and the pasta was seasoned well and balanced and what I feel the portion was much bigger. I do have to assume it's due to the location of this establishment. The ambiance was pretty slow however the inside decorations were so cute and pleasant on the eyes. This has been one of our regular restaurants since our move back to SoCal a few months ago. We both love it and it is a first choice both just for us and when we have visitors - it is actually walking distance from home but we do often drive. Usually there is street parking available. Our hostess, Cameron, made us feel welcome right away, and the manager, Jacklyn, came by and made sure we were doing great and added to the warm experience. Was street parking but if you want a little something to do and the street parking is all taken up, just park at the Beverly Center and walk back over. It's worth the steps. Service was excellent. The host was very speedy to seat up and it was just before their lunch hour rush. The waitress was super friendly and very helpful in making selections. We wanted to eat light, due to wanting to possibly eat at additional spots in LA/Beverly Hills. They had some super light options but packed full of flavor. Both of our dishes came out quite quick but were both cold items. Would love to try this place again, and see some other options. Overall the building had a renovated 50's look. Dark accents but still very trendy. The bar was very nice looking and would be a great spot to have a couple drinks and people watch, through their giant street facing windows. Price point was great and the food was outstanding. This was our first time dining here, and for those who remember, the building was once home to the classic Jerry's Famous Deli. The space has been completely transformed from the old deli into a beautiful fine casual dining spot. It feels open, warm, and inviting. I got the skirt steak cooked medium rare -- flavor was good, but it was a little tough to cut. I think it would've paired even better with some garlic butter or chimichurri on the side. The mac and cheese was SO good and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Creamy, flavorful, and definitely something I'd order again. The pork chops were delicious and packed with flavor, but the spinach underneath was a bit too bitter for my taste. The mashed potatoes were creamy, soft, and comforting. Came by myself after a doctors appointment because I have been craving a hamburger. Their burgers are made with Wagu beef at very respectable prices. And it was cooked to perfection. I am a connoisseur of potato chips and their homemade chips are some of the best I've ever had. I walked in and was seated right away by the hostess. Who sat me down and told me the name of my server who promptly came up to help me. My food was ready in just a few minutes and cooked to perfection. Located directly across from Cedars Sinai you have to assume that at least some of the patrons are either patients or visiting patients. I had a very disappointing experience at Granville while picking up a delivery order. I arrived before a group of dine-in customers and immediately showed the customer's name on my phone to the employee standing at the host stand. Instead of simply handing me the order from the pickup table right behind her, she pointed at it with an annoyed expression and told me to get it myself. The moment she did that, she completely ignored me, turned to the dine-in guests who had just walked in after me, greeted them with a smile, and started chatting with them before I had even stepped away. I then showed my phone to another employee, who handed me the order in a careless manner. As I was leaving, he loudly and sarcastically stretched out "HAVE A GOOD ONE," making it sound less like a polite farewell and more like he was expressing irritation because I hadn't said what he expected. I've been working delivery for a long time, and I pick up orders from countless restaurants every day. Most places treat delivery drivers with basic courtesy because we're representing their business to their customers. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. The contrast between how warmly dine-in guests were treated and how dismissively I was treated as a delivery driver was impossible to miss. Delivery drivers deserve the same basic level of respect as any other customer or guest. This experience felt unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary. read more

I ordered the Brussels sprouts app, my date order the bread with duck fat butter, our waitress brought me some plant butter after hearing me tell him I couldn't eat the butter. For our entrees we ordered the spicy pasta with blackened salmon and salmon with corn and mashed potatoes. I LOVED mine, my date enjoyed his but said he would get something else next time. Located right across from the Beverly Center, with convenient street parking available when I visited. The service was great. I was contemplating between the stroganoff and the spicy pasta, and based on the waiter's recommendation, I went with the stroganoff. Unfortunately, it tasted a bit too sour from the wine and was a bit salty--I probably would have enjoyed the spicy pasta more. However, it was still good overall.
