I came to the Henry for the first time with a party of 4. The ambiance was great- I often get annoyed by brunch spots that are too Gaudy and packed, but the Henry has ample seating, space, and comfort. There is also an outside patio and bar top to further spread out the clientele. The colors are nice and neutral on the inside and it builds a very intimate dining experience. The service was a highlight for the experience. Carson was very friendly and attentive. You know the memes that show people stuffing their face and the staff come to check on them saying, "How's everything, is the food to your liking?" and they can only let out a muffled "MMHMM?" We had that experience here. The only let down we had was with some of the food. The salad and the Club sandwich were great. The wagyu burger could have used seasoning- it felt like the meat itself was not the star of the dish, but only a texture. Its flavor was not brought out. Moreover, the fries were over seasoned and felt quite salty even without any dipping sauce. I enjoy my fries with ranch but the fries were too strong for ranch and it was overpowering. The cheese for the pretzel bites were also lacking in flavor. Lastly the pot stickers could have used a bit more filling because they were literally quite flat. Therefore, it's a 4/5 for me.

Went there for an event. Perfect place to meet people for a nice chat. It's upscale, but not stuffy or trendy feeling. We sat outside. Nick, our server, provided outstanding service. The main entrance is off the courtyard, not right off the street, although if you only want the bar, then there's an entrance off the street that does not lead to the restaurant. Saved you a few steps. It was a very enjoyable experience. Again, it's upscale casual, and the prices reflect it, but they aren't out of control. The signature cocktails were $19. The food was fine, portions on the smaller side, but OK. For an appetizer, we had pretzels and fondue. $18. You get plenty of them, and they were really good! Perfect for sharing. For the main course, I had the seared tuna chopped salad. $27. The dressing was perfectly light. It was a good salad. Again, the portions are not large, but the quality was good. One of my friends had the steak Diane, $61. She gave it 4 out of 5. It was perfectly cooked. She also had a scoop of ice cream. $5. Not bad for that kinda' place. They have a great payment system I've never seen. There's a QR code on the bill, and you can pay for your part of the meal, or pay for whatever you want to. It's really easy and takes the hassle out of splitting the bill, and makes it easier for the server not to have to do separate checks. Great idea! Very enjoyable experience all around.

I would objectively say this last experience is even worse than the one before. I placed an order and before anything was delivered at all the waitress immediately gave me the bill. I didn't even have anything in front of me to eat or drink. Terrible customer service. Actually none at all.

It was an excellent experience, it was out first night out with our newborn. The accommodation to the stroller was incredible and the service and food was great! I had been a couple years ago, this time it was even better

Fast and attentive and personable server and other servers helped too. Very tasty food options even the sushi. The bolognese had an interesting and different presentation, unlike the typical Italian dish. It was good. The highlight for me was the olive oil cake--light, sweet but not overpowering. It was perfect.

Love this place! Such cute ambience inside, can dress up or go casual. Service is very attentive. Lots of people helping clear plates and also filling water. The caramel butter cake is really good!! Loved the steak with the rice and also the side mac is so delicious !!

This experience was like night and day compared to our last visit -- this time, everything was superb! Nick, the manager, was SUPER cool, and our server, Ariana (I hope I got her name right!), was an absolute doll and the definition of professionalism. I decided to try something different from the menu this time, and let me tell you, by the time I said, "Take a picture..." my food was gone! That's how good it was. My mother and I both had the Turkey Reuben -- hers with fries and mine with the apple kale salad. My mom even mentioned to Nick that the sweet potato fries should definitely be added to the menu! My dad ordered breakfast and wanted sausage... no sausage... BACON ONLY! Work on that, The Henry! Thanks to Larissa, we decided to give The Henry another try, and I'm so glad we did. The service, the atmosphere (the music and sunshine were perfect), and the food were all ooooooon point! Sometimes you've got to give people the opportunity to make amends by showing a little grace, and I'm happy we did. This visit completely changed our perspective. We'll definitely be back... promise!

Every body is so friendly. It defiantly has more of an older crowd vibe. The food was good not great.

Came in for Dine LA last Friday and honestly, I like The Henry. Walking in, I liked the vibe. Mix of business and casual but easy going. Busy, but not crazy. Upbeat but not loud. If you're at the bar, fun spot to people watch. Anyway - getting ahead of myself as usual. I parked down the street at the Robertson Public Parking Structure. A few hours was $5 (confirmed on my statement). I don't know how much street parking is or what the restrictions are. For starters, servicew as super friendly. Checked in a good amount and somehow kept everything timed well even after the place started filling up. Don't know if it was all DineLA but as I walked out, I didn't see any empty tables inside. There's outdoor seating and there were some tables available. Started off with the short rib potstickers. These were ok. I wish they were served hotter but even so, the super tender filling had a nice flavor. I'd like to try these again but served hot. For my main, went with the Korean prime skirt steak. Rare. And it came out exactly how I asked. See pics. Rich flavor. A little sweet and a little smoky. Meat was tender and juicy. I would have enjoyed the rice more if the ingredients were diced. Again see pics. It was like I'd have this veggie chunk amongst grains of rice. I enjoyed the taste though. Almost forgot - I never just order the Dine LA offerings. Added a Caesar Salad and the Pretzels with Provolone Foundue. The salad was fresh. Standard. Not over dresssed. The Fondue was a little salty or as hot as I would have liked. This was my least liked dish. The rest was great! Including the dessert. If you're a chocoholic, this one will is a don't skip. Dense. Rich. Told myself I'd just eat half (it was cut in two) but then inhaled it all. With no regrets. Strong start to the DineLA 2026 season. Good food. Great vibes and I left feeling that I'd definitely come back to try their brunch.

Thank you for that note. Yes, the music sound level was better. We are sorry Alex no longer works with you but Chase is also awesome. Parmesan fries are awesome. Next time I'll remember to ask for no green stuff and more truffle oil / salt. Brussels are still awesome. Everyone at the table say the pressed yellowtail is the best.

We were looking for nearby restaurants that offered brunch, we came across The Henry. Metered street parking only and is a bit difficult, or at least on a weekend it is. The Henry is beautifully decorated and has a lot of potential, but the service is the worse we have had in a very long time. Our waitress took our drink order and we didn't see her again for 20 minutes. She mentioned she had too many tables sat at once. This is where management should have stepped in to help her. She took our order, a very simple salad with chicken and a breakfast scramble. FORTY minutes later we received my salad and an omelette. Who ordered the omelette?! Anyway, not sure we will be back, the food was good, but not so good we will be running back. Hope you have a better experience! Cheers.

Big place, lots of seating, great staff, and a cool building. The food is great, and they have quite a variety depending on the season. We came for dinner during Dine LA and the menu was excellent. We'll be back to try their other items and daytime menu for sure.

I really like it here ! Feel like it's in the heart of Robertson . I feel like the menu changed a bit or I haven't come early afternoon . My server was great ! His greet was cool .. cool enough for me to try n the espresso martini that he suggested !! I enjoyed my salad with salmon and avocado. It's definitely pricey but so worth it !

Where is the best place to park on Sundays?

Hi Liz! There is metered street parking available, as well as a parking garage underneath our plaza. If you are heading North on Robertson it is right before you approach the restaurant. On the weekends it is max $15 to park there.

I made a reservation for 1pm is the whole menu available all day ? just wanna make sure because my boyfriend loved the steak last time but we did have that at night last time we went

Is your reservation for today? If so, the brunch menu is available but we can always make an exception!

Where is the entrance to the restaurant? Is there someone at the front to seat you?

It's on the side in between the patio seating area, there's a small hostess stand next to the entrance to the restaurant.

    Are Dogs allowed?

Yes! Our patio is dog friendly!

Do you take large parties (example Party of 9)?

Hello! Yes, we do except large parties! Please give us a call at 424-204-1595 and we will get it all set up for you!…

    What time is happy hour?

Yes they do. Starts at 4pm

Does the restaurant take brunch reservations?

Hello! Yes we accept brunch reservations! Please feel free to give us a call at 424-204-1595 and we can get you set up!…

Do we need a reservation for dinner tonight?

Hello! I would recommend a reservation just to be safe! Please give us a call at 424-204-1595 and ask for Amanda! I will be happy to get you set up!

Hi! I wanted to come in for my birthday brunch with a large group (approximately 15 people or so).…

We had a large birthday celebration in January and we sat outside

Do they have an area for private dining or large groups? Looking to host a baby shower brunch.

No private rooms or areas, BUT I have seen may people having balloons and celebrations and such in the main dining area =]

Is there a corkage fee? If so, how much? Thanks!…

Yes! There was a corkage fee. I believe it was $10-$15 a bottle, maybe more. I can't remember exactly. But it was enough for me to decide not to bring my own wine since their selection was fairly nice.

What time is your last call tonight?

The kitchen closes at 10 and the bar at 11.

What service delivers from The Henry?

As of right now, unfortunately nothing delivers from The Henry. (I've checked Postmates, UberEats, GrubHub, Door Dash and Eat24.)

Is it bottomless mimosas and if so how much?

    Unfortunately they don't serve bottomless.

Can I park in the Robertson medical lot? Will they validate?

I park in the 2-hours free lot south of the restaurant next to Kitson.

Do they have bottomless mimosa brunch?

Kathleen... I don't believe they are bottomless, but they are very good. One of the best places on L.A.'s Westside for weekend brunch. I've been back 3 time in the last two months.

    Is brunch served on Fridays?

No only Sat and Sun from 9am-3pm

When does it open to the public?

    March 22.

We started with the farmhouse beets, a delicious balance of beets, arugula and dressing topped with candied pecans. The portion was more than enough so we boxed some up to leave room for the main course. Our mains were the wagyu beef stroganoff and the trout filet with blistered green beans. The stroganoff and pappardelle arrived in its own covered dish, so hot it sat on a wood base. While it was a good comfort food dish I thought the horse radish was a little too forward for my taste. It was my companion's entree and she really enjoyed it and there was enough to take home. I had the trout filet with its crispy pepita topping served with blistered green beans. Very happy with my choice and it was also a generous portion. Dessert was the yuzu olive oil cake for my friend and butterscotch budino for me. I was familiar with chef/owner (and James Beard Award winner) Sean Brock, having dined at two of his Husk restaurants (Charleston and Nashville), where he first gained fame and accolades. He is no longer affiliated with Husk or some other Nashville restaurants, but still has a pizza place there, so he is still bi-coastal. I can't say what drew him to SoCal, but is clearly enamored of our bountiful produce and purveyors, which he integrates into his "Heritage Southern", often live-fire, cooking. He's apparently quite a music lover also, hence the live DJ all-vinyl booth in the bar/lounge. Darling is on the northern end of Robertson between Melrose and Sunset. Many restaurants of note are nearby, including The Abbey, Craig's, SushiSamba. Many, including Darling, do not have valet parking, so that can be an endeavor you should allow time for. Darling is a pretty large, gorgeous and airy space, divided into an open-air-ish lounge/bar and a dining room towards the rear, which in turn is divided into 2 sections. The space used be the restaurant Soulmate, and looking at old pics still up on Yelp, it is clear many of the design features were repurposed for Darling, including the beautiful wood-beamed ceiling and booths in the dining room, the olive tree and retractable roof in the lounge, and the exterior. The impressive mural in the dining room appears new, as is the DJ booth. The weather was in the 90's during my visits, so the more A/C-controlled dining room was my choice for seating. Darling serves dinner Wed-Sat and brunch Sundays, so of course I had to try both. There's also a small Happy Hour menu Wed-Sat in the lounge/bar. Here's the lowdown: Dinner 1) Deviled eggs. A classic Southern snack, bougied up with bluefin tuna belly. Delish, with a slight kick, but just 2 per order. 2) Abalone and rice stew. Another winner (and smallish portion). Earthy, yet light, topped with a confit egg yolk. 3) The Darling dry-aged steak burger. Just 24 served per day. The stellar meat is a blend of 3 types of beef, mostly dry-aged prime, cooked over the live-fire grill. It was served simply with ketchup, cheese, raw onion and Dijonnaise , allowing the beef to shine. Served without accompaniments. 4) Sliced tomatoes with buttermilk dressing and tomato vine vinegar. A simple and refreshing taste of summer. 5) Blackberry sorbet Eton mess. Delish sorbet that was the perfect blend of sweet and tart. Eton mess is whipped cream and meringue shards. The Texas deer skewers and Anson Mills cornbread were also of interest to me; another time. Brunch 1) Sonora wheat pancakes. Pretty classic, with crispy edges, fancy Maison Bordier butter and maple syrup. 2) 5-fat fried chicken. Also available on the Happy Hour menu. I was told the chicken was heavily spiced, but not heat-spicy. Its red-orange hue made me pause with fear, but it was exactly as described. The seasoning is quite chili powder-forward (Ancho chili?). The chicken is boneless thigh meat (my fave chicken part), just like the Spanish fried chicken at A.O.C. Served with a vinegary hot sauce (didn't use), honey (used it all) and an assortment of pickles. The 5 fats used are chicken fat, lard, country ham, bacon fat and smoked butter. Quite different from A.O.C.'s version; apples and oranges. Try them both. 3) Watermelon sorbet with Bonny melon and lemon verbena. Another sorbet winner, even more refreshing with the melon. Their cocktail and wine offerings seem pretty extensive. My zero-proof pineapple concoction was fine and delish; I had it at both meals. Service and staff was excellent and oh so friendly--hostess, servers, busboys, manager. I wish I remembered the names of my servers for shout-outs; their names didn't appear on my checks. Speaking of checks, you have the option of paying via QR code or with a traditional paper check and table-side hand-held gizmo. I did both and recommend the traditional method to avoid the $3.99 "Platform Fee" for using the QR code. Lastly, I found the music pleasant and mostly retro (the DJ usually puts the album currently spinning on display), but very loud. Guests were yelling in order to converse. Hope to return, and maybe see Chef Sean DJ-ing.

I was hoping to like Darling because I love the hifi bar concept and the ambience was indeed nice,…read morebut the food did not pull its weight. We got deviled eggs topped with tuna belly, which made a convincing case for deviled eggs without tuna belly. The steak burger was hearty, but the way it was seasoned and dressed was so vinegar forward that it made it hard to enjoy. The fries were great--chunky and crispy. However, the $24 cucumber salad was so awful I'm shocked they would serve it. First, there were genuinely 6 cucumber slices, so more like a leafy green salad with cucumbers and hardly a "cucumber salad." But even those 6 were wet and mushy, as though they'd been sitting in the fridge for too long. The fact that this dish made it through the garde manger, sous chef, head chef, and even the servers without anyone stopping it does not bode well for the longevity of this restaurant.

Food was overall great. We ordered the Brussel sprouts, wagyu skewers, burrata, and spicy tuna crispy rice for our appetizers. For our entree, we shared the lemon pasta and branzino. We finished off with the Mandarin Tart. Of the appetizers, the Brussel sprouts seemed the most unique and flavorful. They're tossed in a kimchi sauce, so it has a nice mild spice. The wagyu unfortunately had an unpleasant meat smell (maybe not super fresh), and the spicy tuna crispy rice was nothing special - good but only worth ordering if you're really craving it. Our server told us the lemon pasta was very "lemon-forward," but it was not as tangy as I anticipated. If you're on the fence, staff will recommend dishes that pair well with the lemon pasta! We enjoyed it with our branzino because this palate was much more simple. For special events and celebrations, Ysabel will give you an enjoyable experience.

Our server, Kimi V. was also great. We tried the Shrimp Pasta (10/10, highly recommended), the Crispy Chicken Wings (10/10. They make these in a particular way, please ask them to explain it to you: the end result is fantastic), fish tacos (7/10, they're good, but I am neither a fish nor a taco person (however, I do like some good shrimp tacos). These ones in particular were plated and served so well ( they use blue corn tortilla: top-notch ingredient) and the ingredients were fresh, but maybe it was the type of fish? I don't really know, they were good, but I definitely would not order them again). Also, my friend had a coconut cold brew which he really enjoyed. Service was all around great. Ambiance was fantastic, the whole restaurant has a very upscale, chic vibe while also being unique in its own way. Even the restroom, that was super clean and well-maintained, has a very unique and interesting setup for what is the sink. All around great place, highly recommended. 10/10. UPDATE: Added names and more clarification on the fish tacos. Thank you to the GM in leaving a response. Your whole team is fantastic. I'll definitely be back.

I usually prefer sitting at the bar because the service tends to be better, but this time I came with a few friends so we grabbed a table. Our first interaction was a little off putting. As soon as we arrived, the host made it a point to tell us there was a strict 1.5 hour limit on the table, and the delivery was pretty stern. I completely understand restaurants having time limits, especially when they're busy, but the energy felt a little unwelcoming right from the start. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but it definitely wasn't the warmest welcome. That aside, I love the ambiance here, especially the outdoor area. The food is consistently solid. I absolutely love the shrimp scampi pasta, hamachi, and truffle fries, seriously some of the best truffle fries around. We tried the new pesto pizza this time and it was delicious! The short rib pasta was also a hit with lots of flavor. I enjoy pretty much all of their salads too and usually add chicken or shrimp. Unfortunately, the branzino was a miss. It was overcooked and had almost zero flavor, so we ended up sending it back. Our server was good overall, but service here typically moves pretty slowly and they sometimes seem understaffed. Water refills can take forever, and somehow the sparkling water bottles are always warm lol. It's also a little ironic being reminded so sternly about a 1.5 hour table limit when the service itself tends to move at a slower pace. Other than those little things, Laurel Hardware is still such a great spot. Good food, great outdoor ambiance, and an easy choice when you want dinner somewhere with a fun LA vibe. I'll definitely keep coming back.
