Nick, the manager, was SUPER cool, and our server, Ariana (I hope I got her name right!), was an absolute doll and the definition of professionalism. I decided to try something different from the menu this time, and let me tell you, by the time I said, "Take a picture..." my food was gone! That's how good it was. My mother and I both had the Turkey Reuben -- hers with fries and mine with the apple kale salad. My mom even mentioned to Nick that the sweet potato fries should definitely be added to the menu! My dad ordered breakfast and wanted sausage... no sausage... BACON ONLY! Work on that, The Henry! Thanks to Larissa, we decided to give The Henry another try, and I'm so glad we did. Went there for an event. Perfect place to meet people for a nice chat. It's upscale, but not stuffy or trendy feeling. We sat outside. Nick, our server, provided outstanding service. The main entrance is off the courtyard, not right off the street, although if you only want the bar, then there's an entrance off the street that does not lead to the restaurant. Saved you a few steps. It was a very enjoyable experience. Again, it's upscale casual, and the prices reflect it, but they aren't out of control. The signature cocktails were $19. The food was fine, portions on the smaller side, but OK. For an appetizer, we had pretzels and fondue. $18. You get plenty of them, and they were really good! Perfect for sharing. For the main course, I had the seared tuna chopped salad. $27. The dressing was perfectly light. It was a good salad. Again, the portions are not large, but the quality was good. One of my friends had the steak Diane, $61. She gave it 4 out of 5. It was perfectly cooked. She also had a scoop of ice cream. $5. Not bad for that kinda' place. They have a great payment system I've never seen. There's a QR code on the bill, and you can pay for your part of the meal, or pay for whatever you want to. The write-up on The Henry makes it sound like a fun place to watch a game after work. I called in advance to make sure that the information in the write up was accurate. I was told that they expected heavy traffic for the game and dinner service. I inquired about a reservation near the bar with a view of the game. I was informed that the "high top" tables near the screens were already booked but that I was welcomed to sit at the bar as available. Up to that point I hadn't heard anything that I wasn't prepared to hear particularly on a Friday during the World Cup so I took a chance had went there with a friend hoping to have a great time. We arrived shortly before 5pm to enjoy a bit of the happy hour menu before dinner. We were greeted and offered a table by the bar near the screens with the condition that we needed to be done by 6:30. Well that wasn't going to work because the game started at 6pm. We sat ourselves at the end of the bar about 20 feet from the two tv screens...perfect! The good: the space is beautiful. Warm pretzel bites with fondue were amazing. The garlic fries were crispy. The Sangria was delicious. The bad: bar service was minimal despite a sparse crowd at the bar. I had to reach across the bar counter to grab myself drink coasters for my Sangria, beer, water and my friend's beverage because the condensation kept dripping on my clothes. The bar tender never bothered to come back and check how my cocktail was as most bar tenders do. The fact that there were three makes it more astounding. The really bad: there was a power outage in the restaurant (not the entire block) 5 minutes before kickoff. 10-15 minutes into the game the power came back on but only one tv was functional. Early on there was a bit of a rush to rectify the matter but as time went on, it seemed to become a non-issue despite concern from those around the bar that we couldn't watch the game. No apologies were offered by management at the time. Not even water was offered a jester of good faith while they sorted out the issue. Like a few others, we decided to cut our losses and left at half time. The buzz at the bar was to meet at Lucky Strikes to finish watching the game. Prior to leaving I approached a woman who seemed concerned with the tv malfunction and asked if she was part of the management. She responded that she was and I proceeded to explain my utter disappointment in the experience. She looked profoundly distraught with my observations...At least that's what I told myself in order to not feel like this had been a complete waste of time. We left without having dinner while watching the game. What a shame because the menu sounded appealing. Oh, BTW the high top table in front of the tv was still vacant by the time we left at half time. Not sure it would've mattered because the tv was malfunctioning anyway. I am truly puzzled by what made the author of the article think that The Henry would be a great place to catch a game of any sort. Our server, the space, decor, location and menu items we tried were amazing. The overall attention to detail, attentiveness to customers and overall experience was not one that I would recommend on a Friday night during the World Cup. A few hours was $5 (confirmed on my statement). I don't know how much street parking is or what the restrictions are. For starters, servicew as super friendly. Checked in a good amount and somehow kept everything timed well even after the place started filling up. Don't know if it was all DineLA but as I walked out, I didn't see any empty tables inside. There's outdoor seating and there were some tables available. Started off with the short rib potstickers. These were ok. I wish they were served hotter but even so, the super tender filling had a nice flavor. I'd like to try these again but served hot. For my main, went with the Korean prime skirt steak. Rare. And it came out exactly how I asked. See pics. Rich flavor. A little sweet and a little smoky. Meat was tender and juicy. I would have enjoyed the rice more if the ingredients were diced. Again see pics. It was like I'd have this veggie chunk amongst grains of rice. I enjoyed the taste though. Almost forgot - I never just order the Dine LA offerings. Added a Caesar Salad and the Pretzels with Provolone Foundue. The salad was fresh. Standard. Not over dresssed. The Fondue was a little salty or as hot as I would have liked. This was my least liked dish. The rest was great! Including the dessert. If you're a chocoholic, this one will is a don't skip. Dense. Rich. We were looking for nearby restaurants that offered brunch, we came across The Henry. Metered street parking only and is a bit difficult, or at least on a weekend it is. The Henry is beautifully decorated and has a lot of potential, but the service is the worse we have had in a very long time. Our waitress took our drink order and we didn't see her again for 20 minutes. She mentioned she had too many tables sat at once. This is where management should have stepped in to help her. She took our order, a very simple salad with chicken and a breakfast scramble. FORTY minutes later we received my salad and an omelette. Who ordered the omelette?! The Henry is a very popular restaurant in the heart of Coronado It's a large, bright and open restaurant with a clean urban decor. There is even a separate coffee and pastry bar on one side. The staff is very friendly as are the customers many who seem to know each other. We were fortunate enough to find seats at the bar because the wait was almost an hour if you didn't have reservations (it was a holiday week). I had the hazelnut cappuccino which was very tasty but a lot. I had to get a to-go cup at the end. For breakfast we ordered the breakfast sandwich and the breakfast enchiladas. Both were very yummy and filling. I especially love the soft bun from the sandwich and their breakfast potatoes are so good, crispy with crisped onions. This restaurant is in a really good location. I was in Beverly Hills for the afternoon so I decided to have lunch at the Henry. It was a Friday afternoon and there was plenty of seating available. I decided to sit at the bar and was warmly greeted by the bartender. I ordered a "el carajillo" ($19) it had espresso, rum, and bruleed banana. It was delicious and loved the coffee kick. I started with the black truffle fondue ($18). The fondue was fantastic but the pretzels were a bit hard/dry. If they were softer this would have been delicious! The Henry! I absolutely love the scenery. The restaurant is decorated very well, very classy, mid upscale. Loved it cause I love taking my pictures, As you can see, lol. When I have arrived my date mentioned that there was no wait time which is a plus. We were seated immediately, and ordered our first round of drinks. The waiter was polite, and he was very attentive. With my salmon entree I paired it with the Napa Vallet Chardonnay, one of the best combos if you asked me. The salmon was well done, loved the yogurt or the white creamy sauce at the bottom. The potatoes were great, soft but firm. I fairly enjoyed my outing at this restaurant. I will come back to taste their round of oysters. Friendly staff as soon as I walked up. I chose to sit at the bar on the outside since the weather was nice for a late Sunday afternoon. Quick highlights about the restaurant itself, it's somewhere that just about anyone would want to come to. The atmosphere is chic, welcoming and spots of comfort. As for the crowd, there were families, pooches on the patio, friends gathered and the occasional pairs talking over business. The Uptown Cocktail was my drink of choice while the bartender obliged me to make it not too sweet. It was perfect. My late lunch ended up being the Harvest Bowl with grilled shrimp add on. Delicious flavor for most of it and overly grateful that the bartender offered me some Cholula to spice it up a bit. There's lots of options in this nice setting. We decided to try Henry's for brunch, & while the place is beautiful & very clean, that was honestly the highlight. We ordered the Wagyu burger, egg white turkey omelette with potatoes, & a side of bagels. The food was decent but very bland--nothing stood out, & we had to add salt for flavor to everything. Portions were small, with barely any avocado or pico, and not very filling. The bagels were good, but they gave very little cream cheese and even charged extra for more, which bad barely enough for one side of a beagle. Service was a bit disappointing. Our server was nice but It wasn't busy, yet our server rarely checked on us--we had to refill our own water & go get the pitcher. They also don't clearly mention when choosing sides it cost extra, which can add up quickly but a heads up would have been appreciated. Overall, we paid about $65 for two & left underwhelmed. This location in West Hollywood has been here for some time and I haven't been back since my first time here many moons ago. We came here for my friend's birthday brunch, and I arrived before my friend did and was able to tell our waiter that it was her birthday, which he did not forget and brought her out a birthday cake with a candle, which I truly appreciated. The surprise really made her day. Our food was really good and our waiter was amazing. The reason for the four stars is that we ordered short rib potstickers, however, they were never brought to us. Loved this brunch spot in West Hollywood! I visited this restaurant for lunch on a Sunday. My friend made a reservation via OpenTable a couple days beforehand, so checking-in and getting seated was easy. Upon walking-in, I was amazed by the décor and vibe. It was like walking into a library or a study room of a movie protagonist who likes to travel. It was clean and classy, loved the vibes. We got booth seating and it was comfy and spacious. You could even seat 6 people in one. The lighting was also nice. For food, firstly we got the truffled brie toast as an appetizer to share between 3 people. It was good and flavorful! The bread was crispy, fluffy, and buttery. The toppings of brie, truffle, chive, and fruit preserve added so many different flavors that all worked well together. My only critique is the portion relative to price. For $18 we got a small sliver of bread that's only really good for 4 people to have their own piece. It was quite pricey for what you get, but I guess truffle is a premium item. Next, came the main course. I got the flower child scramble and it was pretty good. It came with an egg scramble full of veggies and some breakfast potatoes. I liked all the veggies in the egg scramble that included asparagus, kale, and mushrooms. The flavoring was good. However, I wish there was more egg and I did get a couple pieces of shell in my eggs which wasn't great. The home fries were solid, but I wish they were a bit more crispier. Finally, the butter cake was my favorite. We got it for free since it was my friend's birthday. It might be my favorite butter cake I've had to date. The cake itself was airy, fluffy, crispy and not too sweet. What really elevated it was the vanilla ice cream and hot caramel sauce. The cold and cream ice cream combined with the sweet caramel with the cake was so delicious. Additionally, my friend got an iced oat milk latte and he said it was pretty good. This place is a hidden gem for brunch! Only four items for breakfast, but my friend and I shared the salmon bagel and egg white with turkey omelet and they were amazing! The salmon on an everything bagel had onion with capers that complimented the salmon really well. There was a ton of flavor but the bagel wasn't doing too much either. The omelet, on the other hand, had a hollandaise dressing and avocado. The Swiss cheese tasted really sharp paired with with pico de gallo garnish and tasted really good with the turkey. I would definitely order this again. For coffee we shared The Butcher, which was a hot coffee with a splash of sweet cream and a Go North, which was a chilled coffee. Both were a good combination of creamy and not too sweet. The overall service was amazing, we were celebrating my friends birthday and the staff greeted us with a birthday card and a comped dessert. The food was delivered very quickly and our waiter was very tentative to us. We sat outside and it was so nice; there were umbrellas for shade so we were able to get some sun but we weren't too hot. We ordered the most incredible off-the-menu hamachi on crispy rice (with a truffle sauce and chili oil) which was Perfection with a capital P. My first thought was "this is better than ice cream" which my FGF scoffed at. That is until she tasted it. Do your mouth a favor and order it. It will be on the menu by spring. I had the salmon entree which was cooked to perfection and the miso glaze on the potatoes was to die for. Everything was fantastic, from the hostess, to the waitress, to the manager who checked in on us and sent us a birthday dessert on the house. Yes, dessert was good but not better than the hamachi. I've wanted to try The Henry for a while and finally stopped in this afternoon, but unfortunately the experience was really disappointing. I sat at the bar and ordered a glass of wine and the spicy tuna crispy rice a few minutes later. I finished the wine in about 45 minutes and was surprised when I was presented with the check for almost $50 while my food still hadn't arrived. The spicy tuna crispy rice appetizer actually came out after I had already been given the check and was sitting with an empty glass. No one checked on me to see if I wanted another drink, and the bartender never acknowledged that I had finished my wine. Throughout the visit the staff seemed focused mainly on cleaning and restocking, and the overall vibe felt irritated and inattentive. I ended up feeling pretty neglected as a guest. The place was not very busy at all, and I was only the 3rd person sitting at the outside bar. For the price point, I expected a much higher level of service and attentiveness. Unfortunately between the ultra slow food timing, lack of follow-up from the bartender, and the overall experience, I wouldn't return or recommend it. The shrimp was a tad rubbery, but over all very tasty. We had a the potsticker appetizers. I recommend those as well! My mom had the bowl and added chicken as a protein. The design of this restaurant is incredible. Unfortunately that's where the praise ends. The food is marginal and very unremarkable. A lot of weird things on the menu making it difficult to even find something to eat. Also, in the picture you will see the Coke that I ordered with the straw that they gave me. As you can see the only way you can use that straw is basically to stick your nose in the glass. I can see that other people enjoy this restaurant and it certainly is nice looking and very comfortable, but I just can't recommend the menu. read more

Has a reservation to celebrate my friends birthday a few days early. Walked in a was seated right away. Had the option of inside or outside. Our server Schultz was great. He seemed pretty busy but nonetheless made sure we had everything we needed. Food was great and very fresh which was a plus. Street parking available and down the street is a parking garage that allows two hours free. read more
