Escape to Grapevine for Fun This place is new to the DFW escape room scene but don't let that deter you. These rooms are high quality and obviously created by lovers of the game. They are obviously working to evolve puzzle quality and push the incorporation of tech to the next level. We journeyed here as party of birthday celebration. There were seven of us, most of whom had only a single room under their belt so going in everyone was anxious and excited. The birthday girl's hubby had booked the Winery Room, which I was thrilled about because it was a new theme concept. It does get tiring seeing so many prison breaks and bank heists. I get that they are exciting ideas for new players but after you've played a couple they tend to blend together. But I digress. Right off the bat we met the owner and the most adorable little pup named Saki. She was going to be the game master for our group. We were told she was the best in the business and we shouldnt let her little squished face fool us. Okay, not really, but she was definitely the cutest dang escape game mascot ever. The room was very high quality. It fit the theme extremely well and there was no denying the game makers eye for detail. The story was pure escape rather than adventure. You're trapped and need to find something to let you out. But it was wrapped in a theme appropriate tale that worked with the room to make a very immersive experience. The locks were a mix of combos, keys, keypads, and my new least favorite thing ever, the date lock. I only say that because I can not seem to read these dang things for some reason. The puzzles were inventive and exciting. There were several we had never encountered before, which is always thrilling because you have to figure out this new challenge. Note, pay attention. There is one puzzle we had to use a hint on because we just kept missing a detail when we encountered it. There are some difficult aspects of this game but the game master is really good so don't fret. I should really just make a blanket statement here also that you should think outside the box in this room. Stop and look at things. Use your intuition and logic skills. Remember this room was designed by someone who loves puzzles so think like them. If you love puzzles too then you will love it. In the end, our group conquered the space and escaped to freedom. The birthday girl was given the honor of entering the last answer to set us all free. Everyone had a great time and the buzz of excitement and happiness was palpable. This was a great experience for all. The owner gave us a sneak peek at the Wedding Chapel room and, OMG, that space looks freaking amazing. I cannot wait to get back over to Grapevine and take it on. If you love a good escape game then this is the place for you. If you're new to this whole concept, this is a great place to start. read more

We had an amazing time at The Great Escape, specifically in the Wine Room Escape Room! It struck the perfect balance of being challenging yet fun, keeping everyone in our group engaged and excited throughout the experience. Room: The Wine Room was impressively spacious, comfortably accommodating our group of 10 without feeling cramped--a rarity in escape rooms! The temperature was just right, which was a huge plus since escape rooms can often feel stuffy. Challenge: The puzzles were cleverly designed, with just the right amount of difficulty to keep us on our toes. The variety of tasks ensured everyone could contribute, making it a collaborative and rewarding experience. Staff: The staff was incredible--enthusiastic, friendly, and clearly passionate about creating a fun experience. They set the tone for the adventure and were quick to offer helpful hints when we needed them without giving too much away. Overall, our experience at The Great Escape was fantastic! The FreedomPark Admin team had an absolute blast at Grapevine Escape Room! From the moment we stepped into Clarence's Enchanted Cottage, we were transported to a whimsical world full of mystery and adventure. The immersive set design and clever puzzles made it feel like we were living out a magical story. We had so much fun cleaning up Clarence's cottage--every clue led us closer to the big reveal. Collecting crystals along the way kept us on our toes, and the final challenge of capturing the creature, well let's just say that the obvious answer may not be the correct one! The puzzles were challenging yet perfectly balanced, making it an engaging experience for our whole group. The staff was friendly, helpful, and just as excited as we were to see us succeed. My family loves solving puzzles and fun challenges, and The Grapevine Escape rooms is our absolute favorite! Their rooms are all creatively set up, suspenseful, and encourage communication and working together. I've taken different family groups here, from grandsons as young as 5 years old for the Rudolph's Gift, to a group of 30-somethings to celebrate an engagement by doing the Wedding Chapel room (several years ago). All of these visits have been exceptional experiences, and way, way better than any other escape rooms I've been to. The creativity of the puzzles and the scene setup is amazing in itself, but what really makes this place special are the owners who have truly put their hearts into creating a business that serves! The Team at The Grapevine Escape is one of the coolest. This escape room is no corporate front. Russell and Amber made us feel right at home upon walking in, and without giving away too much, the immersion was amazing. A thorough story woven into each room, alluding to clues and intriguing the guest. The puzzles were fun and outlandish! Plenty of puzzles in the wine vault for everyone to have a chance to participate and a wide range of difficulties. Did my very first escape room here yesterday and had the time of my life! The owners Amber and Russel put so much thought and creativity into the rooms, and made everyone in our group feel so welcome and at home. The wine vault room was really challenging, and every brain in the room was put to the test. I can't wait to go back and do more! This is the perfect place for parties, team-building exercises, or just something fun for everyone in the family to participate in. We played Rudolph's . There were 4 of us. We have played several escape rooms and this was one of my absolute favorites. The Christmas magic in this room was perfect. There were fun surprises throughout the whole room. I even got a really neat surprise for my birthday. David was our game master and did a great job. We had a great time! We took our family during the Christmas break and had an amazing experience. Everyone is our group (ranging in age from 11 to 50+) was engaged and having fun - it was awesome to see our children and their cousins working together to solve all the clues! It has different types of puzzles (physical, visual, logical, etc.), excellent use of technology, very rational and well connected puzzles, and very high quality props. I had never been to an escape room and wasn't sure what to expect. I went with a group of coworkers and it was an absolute blast. Our game masters were Steve and Avery and they were amazing! We got free refills on our soda which really goes above and beyond! The room was challenging but not impossible and had very unique and clever clues throughout the entire room! I love that this is a family owned business! We did the Tech focus Lab with a group of 4 of us. We had so much fun and loved the experience!
