We came here for lunch during our day spent in Aspen. We split their 'Cassidy' panini. It was good, but could've had more olives and pesto in it. The sandwiches are made fresh to order, so expect to wait 10-15 minutes for your sandwich if there's a long line. The prices were very affordable for Aspen. They have a little bit of outdoor seating only. You can only order inside. They give you a discount if you pay with CASH!!!

The food portion is super large. But they expect tips when they don't really offer any services. The food quality is ok. And I wouldn't go back again

So this time we ordered the Garcia and Bertha and made it over to the park to eat these killer sandwiches. They are as big as a softball and delicious beyond belief. The service as usual was fast even considering how big the line was. I'm talking like 3 minutes of waiting, no time at all right. Having lived nextdoor to the Dead back in The City I can tell you the inside of the Deli is just like the inside of their kitchen. They have all the necessary gear to make you feel like you're hanging with Jerry and the Boys!

When I was living up in Aspen Colorado, I had a job as a arm Security at the courthouse one day. I'm walking down the street and I see Grateful Dead sandwich shop went in there and oh my God those sandwiches are addictive because they are fresh. I mean from the bread to the onions to the meat to the peppers. Everything was delicious. I even got a frequent flyer Car 10 stamps and you get one free so I ended up going there every day. I just bought my sandwich there and buy my chips and soda at the gas station. I think my sandwich was like 1199 but it was good anytime food is good and it's worth worth the price

Always the highlight of my trip to Aspen. As a turkey sandwich fanatic--these guys consistently nail the perfect sandwich!!!!

I was on a trip from work when I stumbled upon the most hipster sandwich spot in Aspen, Colorado. This is not a sandwich place where you're going to sit down and enjoy the sub and watch the butterflies, they call your name, you grab it and you take it to go or you eat it real quick on one of the few tables outside. I saw a lot of bikers and people on their lunch breaks who get it. Compared to other restaurants in the area, this place is a hidden gem because it's not as costly as some of the other restaurants. I was not disappointed in the bread, meat or veggies because it all tasted FRESH. They call your name when your food is order and you can also get a cookie, soda, or chips with your sandwich. It gives off Austin, Texas vibes, so if you're expecting a subway or jimmy johns, go elsewhere. If you're looking for a quick bite on your way to the bookstore next door, hit this place up :)

I don't love the bread and the meat is reasonable but nothing more than average quality. It's a perfectly average sandwich.

I came with my flight crew (just a couple of pilots in addition) and we just sat at the bar. I had the kale rotisserie chicken salad. The peanut dressing does have soy sauce so it is not gluten free, so they brought me a champagne vinaigrette instead. It was delicious. I got this during the cyclospora outbreak, because I'm a wild person now lol but they assured me they only get quality ingredients and super clean all veggies and fruit coming in. My pilots got the meatballs, creamed corn, and deviled eggs and they LOVED them.

They are pet friendly and have outdoor seating! Servers were very friendly although the serving can take a bit longer, depending on how busy they are. The French Dip came with lots of prime rib and a cup of Au jus, with horseradish to cut down on the heaviness. Crispy chicken sandwich was my favorite! It came sliced in three so the portion was massive. The chicken had more of a Japanese katsu style breading on it so it was super crispy. The burger was also a solid choice. Great bun to filling ratio and the spicy slaw was a complemented the burger well. The fries were pricey and I didn't realize that they weren't a side but an appetizer, but these fries were super crispy and delicious. You could tell that they were fried freshly on the spot. The creamy sauce it came with paired well with them! Deviled eggs were savory and had a kick from the pickle relish. This was my first time eating creamed corn and I liked it! It was warm and creamy, with a slight kick from the jalapeño slices.

Our experience at Meat & Cheese in Aspen was disappointing from beginning to end…read more To start with, the food was mediocre in every sense. The quality did not justify the prices, the flavors were forgettable, and nothing we ordered stood out. Unfortunately, what happened afterward was far worse. My wife accidentally left behind a shopping bag containing a brand new pair of sunglasses she had purchased earlier that day. When she returned to retrieve them, our interaction with a server named Carson was deeply disappointing. Instead of simply confirming ownership in a courteous and professional manner, Carson repeatedly questioned whether the sunglasses were actually hers. He kept emphasizing that they were brand new and worth around $600, making it clear that he found it difficult to believe they belonged to her. It was impossible not to feel that she was being judged based solely on her appearance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with verifying ownership of a valuable item. In fact, we appreciate businesses that take lost property seriously. What is unacceptable is allowing assumptions and stereotypes to influence how customers are treated. One lesson worth remembering is that genuine elegance and long established wealth rarely need to announce themselves. Those who have had the privilege of success across generations often feel no need to advertise it with designer logos or outward displays. True class is reflected in education, humility, confidence, and, above all, in the way people treat others. Ironically, Carson's assumptions said far more about his own judgment than they did about my wife. No customer should ever be made to feel that they need to "look wealthy" in order to be treated with respect. We hope management addresses this issue seriously. The mediocre food was forgettable. Being judged and treated with prejudice is not. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and dignity, regardless of how they are dressed or what assumptions someone chooses to make about them.

Brand new - came here on opening day! The deli cafe is located rooftop in the Aspen Art museum,…read morebut mostly covered seating which is great in those strong sunny Aspen days. The eating area is very new, clean, colorful, and spacious. You can decide whether you want the outdoor breeze or the more sheltered indoors. Chicken salad pesto crunch - extra sharp cheddar cheese, pickled green, tomato, potato chips, and soft white bread. The pesto flavor isn't very strong, or it's being overtaken by the tart pickles or the sharp chdddar. It's hard to eat without falling apart, but I can tell the ingredients are fresh tasty. I gotta say it's an interesting mix of different strong flavors. It's a gutsy call, but I feel it's not coming together well. Salad Trio - you can select three items from the deli, here we have tuna, chickpeas, and butternut squash salads. Tuna is delish and fresh, and the squash is savory and prepared perfectly. Nutella Muffin - sort of looks like a cinnamon roll except it's super fluffy and hollow. You can also customize your sandwich so we tried an order with chicken salad, arugula, and Swiss cheese. They don't toast the bread and I think that should be an upfront option (sorta like they do at Subway). The menu is inventive and modern with a lot to offer. Great service and nice busy vibe. That's all...
