Disgusting customer service. Would not honor an accidentally torn gift certificate , with envelope, claiming it was used. This, after acknowledging I hadn't been there in a long time. Not mutalated, not even bent, just torn in half. Certificate number shown, and would not give me owners name and contact info. Ignored my request to see where it show my certificate was used, must have records! Also a friend has a certificate not honored because they had forgotten to sign it! I've been going to Diamonds Nail for about 5 years now and they have never let me down! They've done my nails for prom, graduation, and all my birthdays and big events and I'm so happy to go to them all the time. The staff is so friendly and extremely polite. They are very gentle, efficient, and also careful about personal preferences, spa water temperature, the intensity of the massage chair etc. The salon itself is very clean. Also, if there happens to be a mistake/air bubble/ small chip etc., they are always very good about fixing it and never give any sort of attitude or blame you. They are incredibly professional! Bo-Bo is the best! Her skill with gel color is unmatched. I keep my nails short with just a natural polish since I can't guarantee that I'll make it back on a regulat basis. Despite cutting my nails back about about 10 days, my nails still looked great. I am also impressed at how clean the place is and how personable Bo-Bo is. While Holly, the owner is a nice person who took the time to explain the option for various types of manicures to me, I was disappointed in the manicure itself. I have been going to Diamond Nails for a while now at the recommendation of a friend who has been a customer for over a decade, and I've never had a bad experience. I was previously going to another location in Milltown but I got tired of not being able to make an appointment, and dreaded getting certain nail artists. That is not the case here. I have LeLe do my pedicures, and Holly does my nails (usually gel polish). I have never left unhappy. LeLe takes her time with my pedicures and I always feel my feet are flip-flop ready and pampered by the time I leave. Holly does a great job on my nails and I feel that my gel always lasts significantly longer than when I was going elsewhere. I never wait more than 5 minutes from arrival when I have an appointment, and LeLe and Holly always greet me with friendly faces. I'm so glad my friend brought me here, as I won't be going anywhere else again. read more

You get what you pay for. I usually go to aqua spa on 18, but as everyone in the area knows they are not cheap. There is a reason for that. The salon was pretty much empty when I came on a Saturday which should have been a red flag. Instead of putting the foil on my nails to take off my gel manicure they used the drill which drove me nuts. My nails did not look bad when finished but did not enjoy the experience. In addition, I believe the quality of products used at aqua spa is superior, which may be a reason the price is higher. Back to aqua spa I go. read more

I had my eyebrows done here yesterday. When the woman announced she was done, I asked her if she was going to trim them as well. She said I didn't need it. I told her I wanted them trimmed and that I have never had my brows done withOUT a trim. She refused to trim them! She wasn't sure what trim meant and I don't believe knew the difference between twim and tweeze. I'm wondering if you need a license to perform eyebrow and nail work because, quite alarmingly, this woman had no idea what she was doing. I will be researching this and will report them. I don't need to get into an argument when I get my eyebrows done and she was literally arguing. When I left the room she screamed something across the salon in Asian language which I don't speak. Very professional to scream across the salon isn't it? I got a few dirty looks from the other workers as I made my way to the register. I shouldn't have paid because my eyebrows were not fully done, but I did. I did not leave a tip. I would not go back here again. read more
