My previous nail tech moved really far from me and I start searching to a nail salon. This was the first spot! The salon is really clean. They follow Covid protocols. Lily does my nails. I usually judge my nails based on how long my acrylic last. The first time she did my nails, my nails lasted 5 weeks. She provides excellent service! I do not generally have nail design ideas and Lily does a great job designing my nails knowing that I don't particularly care for color. I've been going to Lily for about a year now and I'm always satisfied. My pedicures are also great! After "mommy" understood that I do not like long toe nails, our relationship has blossomed. The pedicure is a great experience and again my feet feels great soft for about 2-3 weeks. The hours are great and their willingness to satisfy you is great. If you want great nail design weather acrylic or gel Lily and Tina are great at their craft!

A rip off. Not sure why these salons aren't transparent in their pricing. I went in to get my lip waxed. Saw it was $5 so I looked to see how much the chin was too since I have a few pesky hairs my tweezers haven't been able to snag from the root. The price list said $5 too. Any logical person would conclude that the total would be $10. Nope at the end she says $15 and when I ask why I get some BS and barely audible response about how "they don't add like that." What??? When I asked for clarification she said something about how only if they wax a part of the chin it's $10? And how together they charge more? Where on earth have you ever gotten charged more than the sum of two services when you're getting two at the same time? Stupid. And the waxing room is dirty af. Also, why don't you guys wear gloves when you wax? Update: I'm assuming "Kenny T." Who left this "compliment" is the owner. Listen. 5+5 is $10 in every language. Not sure if he's trying to imply that I'm cheap but if he is I don't care. If the price list said $7.50 for each, I would have paid $15. It's called transparency. People love it. I pay $60-80 for my nails (definitely not here) and idc because my nail salon's price list is up to date. So 1. I'm not cheap. I definitely don't go to restaurants to do whatever he is saying here. 2. I didn't expect or want anything for free lol. 3. Do better. Update the price list. The end.

I was a little worried given the few amount of reviews, however, they were the only ones in the area who could see me right away. I made an appointment and they took me in right away. This place is great if you'd rather not spend your time chit chatting with your technician, although if you want to make small talk, they'd be more than happy to talk with you! For only $25 for a gel manicure, I'll definitely be a repeat customer! Plenty of free parking around the building.

First visit to this salon after trying out a few in the area. I think I've found my spot here. The atmosphere inside the salon could be updated but the service is most important right!? I got a gel pedi and she did cut me while cleaning up my cuticle on my foot but it wasn't the end of the world. Overall happy with the outcome. My nails were done by Lynn and I'm in love with them. She worked fast and efficient. Cuticle clean up and the polish was done perfectly. Another tech did the watercolor design and they allowed me to choose the colors I wanted no problem. Overall very happy and I will return!

I get gel set. I believe the owner is the one who does my nails. She really takes her time and they came out great. It's on the pricier side but keep in mind its UV gel set and it's worth it because my nails look bomb!

They did a great job & had same day appointments available when I called. They're not overly crowded or overpriced either. They asked if I wanted ombré with gel or powder & I chose gel, but I think powder probably would've blended better so now I know for next time.

I just got my nails done today with Tina and she was beyond amazing, I have been getting my nails done for over 15 years but never have I had a manicurist who took care of every little detail and was perfect at everything. She was super friendly and just said "whatever you like". It's so hard finding a manicurist who is so friendly, speaks English and is great at her work. Bravo Tina.

They are very good at what they are doing. I am a very picky person. I never change my doctor, Nail artist, hair designer, etc., I have my Nails'artist I was going to her for the last 24yrs is located in Metuchen, NJ. I recently moved to North Brunswick and I went to few nail artists but didn't satisfy with them. But Be-VIP Nails are good. Very pleasant and all the people are highly proficient in their work.

Nice spot, the girl took her time with my nails and they look very very clean. This is my second time here. Also, they waited for me and close 1/2 later than usual to accommodate me. And didn't even though they were closing the fiel didn't rush through my nails. Will come back! Gave 4 stars because I wish they had a bigger dipping powder selection.

What's the point of making an appointment when they don't respect them anyway? Been coming here for months because it's a bit cheaper than other salons in the area and they do a pretty good job with designs. However, last few times it's been going downhill. Two sisters run this place but one has not been around and the other one isn't very welcoming. My nails or my moms nails always crack/break within a week of getting them done here so the cheaper price no longer serves us. I'd rather go to a salon where I don't feel like they're talking about me and feel like my time and satisfaction is respected. read more

I've come here a couple of times for a pedicure and they never disappoint! Always so good I never have an appointment and they accommodate me ! They really go in on your feet to ensure a good pedi and the gel always last me forever ! read more

I unfortunately need to update this review, Although their prices are less in comparison to other shops around, my nails would consistently break within a couple of days making me have to go back sooner than 2.5 weeks therefore spending more money. I was pretty upset that they charge to fix a nail after it breaking within 2 days specially after I informed Lynn to not make them so thin as I type at work and when they bend they break or hurt.. I ended up going back to my regular spot where it's more expensive BUT the consistent quality is always there read more

Terrible, They don't listen, I was very clear, I told them don't cut my ingrown nail, she still did n hurt me. I told her to stop! No body nor the employee, I even spoke to the owner I didn't get a sorry or what can I do, I got you need to calm down, I flipped after that n went off. So I've come to this salon several times, and it's just okay. I started working in North Brunswick, so it became convenient for me to go for my acrylic refills and pedicures. Usually I go to Lily because I like how she handles my nails, and she's polite. Recently though I didn't have a good experience. Lily was on vacation so I went to Tina, who is good but she rushes with anyone I feel like is not her repeat client. She cut me 3 times and I was bleeding pretty bad. That was a huge turn off for me, so I don't think I'll be going back unless it's just for a pedicure. Also you sometimes end up waiting awhile, even if you made an appointment, but overall it's not a bad salon. read more

I've been going to this salon for my pedicure for over 2 years since I moved to North Brunswick. Today my 7 year old daughter had a very bad experienced. I asked for a pedicure for both of us. The lady gave her a manicure that I didn't ask for. Initially I asked how much for both pedicures (this is before they knew I was getting gel) she said $40 for both meaning $25 for me and $15 for my daughter. When leaving they charged me $75. She said for The manicure. I told her I did not asl for that. She walks over to my daughter and starts wiping the polish off. She's 7 and felt embarrass and sad. I was actually going to pay for it. She continues wiping it over. They still ended up over charging me and charged me $25 for her pedicure when it was only $15. That's a ridiculous price to charge a 7 year old for wash, file and paint of $25. I won't be back. They don't like blacks so I won't be bringing my black add back read more

I had the best pedicure ever!!!!!! She took her time to make sure my scratchy feet were nice and smooth, and they have been so for almost three months. Making an appointment is tricky, they often over book, but if you go on an off time, you should be good to go! read more

I wish i could give this place negative stars but it does not have option to. Save your money and nails and DO NOT go to this place. The guy that sits there cut my nails too short to they skin and kept that now i am in pain. He did not even know how put on gel nail polish it was so untidy and unfinished. My nails started chipping hours after i stepped out of that salon. WORST SALON EVER. Worst decision. Save your time, nails and MONEY. Stay AWAY from this place. read more

Update: The salon is still decent--price, etc. However the quality of your nails really depends on your technician. Yesterday was my third visit, I went in and was seen right away per usual. But the technician that I was assigned was not knowledgeable of what she was doing. When I pointed this out, she became extremely upset and rough with me. My usual technician, Lyn just finished a client so I told the woman working on my nails to stop. Lyn happily took me & fixed my nails... The downgrade in the stars is for the inconsistency in quality technicians. If my regular technician is busy, someone else should be able to step in and do an equivalent job. If I go back to Be-VIP I will only book Lyn. She is fantastic. read more

I was customer of the old JM nails And had been for a few years, so when Sunny and his family brought the shop I was a bit skeptical. But from day one , even before their official opening they have been so nice and friendly. The first time I came they hadn't even unpacked everything but they did my nails and toes perfect. I've been here twice now and both times were amazing. They are super clean, super nice and do great work. My gel nails last for 3 weeks here and have a huge variety of new colors to choose from. Don't let the crappy complex discourage you from trying this place out! read more

6/23/19 I have a special occasion tomorrow and wanted to get a basic manicure and pedicure. I called in the early afternoon to make an appt. it was scheduled for 6:30. I arrived and told them I had an appt and they told me to pick a color, and then proceeded to sit there for 25 minutes! I will never return again. This was my first try and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Not even 1 star worthy. read more

Haven't felt so good about a nail salon in a long time. Stop by Be-VIP Nails and was met with a warm reception. They listen to what I wanted, made recommendations and did a professional job! The tech took her time, was nice and attentive, no chatter or distractions. A relaxing hand massage with hot towel ended the service. Will definitely be back. Full set gel manicure $55. read more

Went there for the first time over the weekend. Scheduled 3 pedicures at the same time. They said they could handle, but when we got there only 1 lady was available while us other two waited for about 20 minutes for them to finish u with other clients. LiLi did my pedicure and I have to say she was extremely attentive and did a really nice job. All 3 of us enjoyed our pedicures and felt each did a good job. Everyone was friendly and smiling. The place was clean and neat. We will be back! read more

Terrible experience! Please do not waste your money and go elsewhere. Terrible and I repeat terrible customer service. I went in for a gel mani pedi, pretty basic. I picked my matching colors and proceeded to get my nails done. Pedicure was short and rushed. When I said something about the gel colors not matching the woman doing my nails argued that their colors were always off. What???? I could understand if the colors were off by a shade or two but at this point my nails were pink and my toes were purple. Finally, she agrees to fix the color on my feet. She proceeds by grabbing a PINK color and painting over the already polished shade of purple. How lazy could you possibly be? Never again! read more

Terrible service 2. Bad attitude 3. Unprofessional My friend and I walked in to get a gel manicure and regular pedi since this place had pretty decent reviews and was the closest to our neighborhood. Unprofessional: The older gentleman who helped my friend clearly was unsure of what he was doing. He kept asking for directions from the lady who had been helping with my pedicure. The nail polish was also running out so the color was coming out extremely clumpy. My friend had to give him instructions and call out all the areas that he was either missing or not filing properly so that her toes could be KIND OF even. In the end, she decided not to do her gel manicure because she wasn't sure if he would be able to do a good job. Bad Attitude: As for my lady. Wow. I just don't even know where to start. I've never met anyone SO rude. I usually have pretty good conversations with the ladies who are at the salons and I'm always respectful. This lady (the really petite one with the long hair) was extremely rude and had a stank face the whole time. While she was cutting my cuticle, I noticed that it was more painful than usual, but I figured she should know what she's doing and I was chatting with my friend. When I turned around to take a look at my hand, I noticed she was trying to wipe away the BLOOD that was coming out from my fingers cuz she had been yanking at my cuticles so hard. That's when I noticed there were multiple other bloody spots on that paper towel in her hand, which explained why I thought it hurt so much earlier. She was extremely rude the whole time, not acknowledging any questions and talking on her phone, which was why she was probably so distracted. The nail polish came out much lighter than I had expected so I asked if she could please put a different darker shade on so that my nails are not showing through from beneath the polish. She didn't say anything so I was unsure if she heard me the first time. I asked again because I was afraid she was reaching for the top coat and I didn't want to make things more complicated if I didn't warn her in time. So I asked again and she was really rude when she responded "yes I heard you. I can understand." Okay well great. I wasn't sure because you DIDN'T ACKNOWLEDGE MY QUESTION so how could I have known? Terrible Service: Now that I'm home I'm also able to take a look at my nails more closely and I can see that there are parts of it that are not fully painted as well. Not only did I get cut up, I ended up having to deal with terribly painted nails and I have a wedding to go to this weekend. Luckily, it's a light color so it's not noticeable unless you're looking at it up close. All in all - DO NOT go to this place. It's a waste of time and money and you might even get infected from all the cuts that you get on your fingers, all while getting a stank face.

I sat in the chair with my feet in the water until 12:40 when I finally walked out. It was clear the girl who was doing another woman's pedicure was untrained and uncertified because the woman asked her to stop bc she wasn't doing a good job. Also, the owners children were there and the one girl was crying because the other kids locked her out of the room they were playing in and kept telling her she was nothing and shouldn't come back. I felt so bad for her--the owner didn't do anything so all of the kids just kept screaming.

It seemed like that would be a dedicated part of the pedicure, but nope not so. The "hot towel treatment" was literally just my legs being wiped down quickly with a warm towel lol. I've had a lot of pedicures and, unfortunately, this one just left me walking away feeling disappointed. I will say that the plus side of this was that my feet do feel more ready for summer, but I could've gotten that with just the $45 version. Or at another salon with a lot more treatments. This was not worth the extra money at all for their $60 "spa" one. And I'm really glad I didn't bother trying to get their $75 one! It's a bummer because I really wanted to love this place! It's cute inside and the woman who did my nails was nice. It just felt like a pretty unjustifiable rip off to pay $15 extra for all these things and only get jelly water (I think the crystals were in there) and some exfoliant (the latter I also get with standard pedicures elsewhere, it's far from "high end" as stated). If they wanted to charge $60 for just those things, that's totally their prerogative! But then please don't advertise more treatments taking place when they're not. I still tipped 25% but in hindsight I feel a little silly having done so. Ah well.
