I was very, very impressed by the spa at the Graton Resort. The entrance into the spa is very discreet. Walking in we notice how clean and well set up for complete pampering g and relaxation. We immediately smelled wonderful aromas of lavender, citrus, rosemary- just lovely. The young women at the front desk were ready to help us relax and feel pampered. However, once we were handed over to the spa attendant, there was a shift. " We only have 7 pairs of slippers and they are all in use or gone... " then a long, not relaxing explanation of all the times they'd been requested .. etc..... "The robes just came out of the dryer, here's yours." Then I get an inside out robe with the belt wadded up with it to loop myself. This was so contrary to every other aspect and professional spa like treatment from the other employees, it just stood out. Upon seeing a bar menu sitting on a table inside the women's spa room- I asked the attendant to help us order a drink. Again, a long dreary list of the problems with that and getting them to deliver before our massage. So we asked if we could put in an order now for drinks ready after the massage. Again- " they might forget". Ugh. Hassle. The initial serenity we had upon entering was wearing out. Thank goodness! Eva and Richard, our massage therapists took us right back to a relaxed state. We both really loved the whole therapy area and rooms. Looks, aromas and cozy. All in all, very high prices for treatments, but if you take advantage of the amenities: pool, sauna, steam, jacuzzi, lounge and right by the casino and great restaurants - worth it!i read more

What a pleasant suprise this spa is really nice very upscale. I signed up for a 50 min pedicure it was done by a women who had a spa of her own previously she was very professional. The treatment was $90 (20% service fee and flat charge of $75). I wish I would have been told in advance the spa is available all day if you get a treatment. I have not been to Graton in oven a year. Truth be told, I was really in the mood for some Meyer Lemon ice cream. A small spot called Scoops is the only place that serves it. So I drove 50 miles to get my treat. After getting my ice cream, I decided to play a few slots.Although I'm not much of a gambler, I do like playing the slots. So many new games have taken the place of my old favorites. I played Elvira. I was bored with it because I didn't hit the bonus. Ended up losing $100. Moved on to Crystals in the Forest. That's where my luck hit me. Once I hit the bonus, it retriggered several times for me. I turned $200 into $1100. Not bad!!! Next I played DaVinci Diamonds and hit the bonus round. This time I made $190. I really wish they would get rid of the smoking area. It sucks for non-smokers. read more

This review is specific to the resort. Two night stay at Graton Resort. I really enjoyed the hotel. Nice linens and comfy beds. Rooms were extremely clean with huge bath tubs and shower. Pool area is super clean and stylish. There is also a fitness center. For those non smokers out there the hotel/lobby and pool area area 100% smoke free which is nice. I'm I did not use any spa services so I can't comment on that. My only cons are : no balconies in rooms which I really like. Rooms are realllly pricey which is a bummer because no one can afford to stay there. However, I would definitely recommend this hotel it's very upscale without being snobby. read more

Had such a great time here for my bff and my annual girls trip. Both the hotel, spa, bars and pool were wonderful. The casino is a bit smokey but overall a great place to have a fun night away from it all. We also ate at the boathouse sushi restaurant and it was fabulous. Great staff all around. I went here for some much needed "me" time. I scheduled a spa pedicure, and went in an hour early to enjoy the hydro room. The sauna, steam room, ice room and hot tub were all amazing. The locker room was luxurious and the staff was very attentive and nice. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was the nail polish they use. My toe nails were still sticky 4 hours later, even though the lady said to just let it sit for 20 minutes. I ended up messing it up on the carpet hours after I got home. As someone else said, it is ridiculously expensive, like woe. And the mandatory service charge of 20%, of which 15% goes directly to the therapist. Then yes, they asked for a tip on top of that, which was excessive. They try and hide the fact that the 20% surcharge includes a tip, which is kinda shady, but I get that they are just trying to make their wages. I'll be back again for something cheap, just so I can use the hydro room. (and by cheap, I probably mean a $50 haircut, nothing there is cheap) It is a very nice environment though. read more

This is a pedicure review. I ordered the one that offered buffing, I think it was something like footlove, or walkabout...whatever it's the $75, plus servic fee totaling $90. I went for buffing instead of polish because , if you've ever had it done right, it's so wonderful. Your feet & toenails feel amazing and a good buffing looks like clear nail polish it's shines so nice. Not so at Graton. My feet looked like feet that had been washed. No buffing, no shine and even a few calluses remained. But the nice thing, that gets it to two stars and not one, is you can use the spa if you have any treatment. So I used the hot tub and the sauna and steam room. Very pretty. But not enough water stations so make sure you stay hydrated! And then another ding...when I went to rise off in the shower, there were lots (like 10 or more) long black hairs on the floor and walls. Super gross. Can you please have an attendant rinse the showers after each use? Isn't that part of the 20% service fee tacked on to any service? Oh and my last bit of whining....a large screen tv in the relaxation lounge? Please!! Try a fountain, candles or nothing! Watching a never ending loop of home imprisonments makes me feel like I'm watching my life flash before my eyes. Not at all chill. Oh and the (crappy ) food that you have to eat outside and walk across the resort to get a drink. Has anyone at this resort ever gone to a nice spa??? read more

I loved the experience. I went for the Hydrafacial and thouroughly enjoyed it. The Hydratherapy area was fantastic. I loved the Ice room. It was the perfect temperature. I went in and out of the Sauna, steam room and ice room. The jacuzzi was also the perfect temperature. I am not sure what happened with the tea in the other womans review, however their was complementary tea, spa water, bottled water and snacks. I had a lovely experience, truly. If you are in the bay area and are acustom to Vegas Style spas, this is a petite Vegas style spa getaway. The privai products were delightful and they carry supergoop spf which is an absolute favorite of mine. Supergoop is tinted and tone adjusting. Had to pick one up. read more

Disappointed and feel a little ripped off I went for a birthday celebration with three other family members. We needed a spa day. I signed up for the basic manicure. It was ok. The manicurist was very nice, but it was about a 20 minutes manicure with maybe 5 minutes of massage. My nails were pretty desperate, so really there wasn't much to work with. Just a little shaping. No buffing. No fancy polish job. "OK," I thought. Not great but it was the base manicure. Well when I was checking out, the charged me for the hour manicure. So with a difference of $40 to $70. Hm....Definitely not worth $70. They then said..."well you couldn't have used the pool with your family if you didn't buy the better manicure." I'm thinking... OK..How about you say that NUMBER ONE when I register with the three other over 100 dollar appointments, and NUMBER TWO give me a manicure WORTH $70. You can get a fabulous manicure in the next town over (Petaluma- First Hand) for half the money, that includes wax treatments and a real massage. I will NOT GO BACK. RIP OFF. read more

Finally made an appointment for the Spa at Graton Casino. All I can say is wow! What a wonderful experience. I had a hot stone massage from Yoshi. Very strong hands and he really dug in there and worked out all my kinks. Just on the border of being too hard but in the end the pain was worth the pleasure of the benefit of having recieved a really good deep tissue massage. The next day my neck and shoulders felt wonderful! The women's locker room area is absolutely wonderful and top notch. They supply just about everything you could possibly need. Hair dryers, curling irons, lotion, deodorant, mousse, gel and hair spray. I love the robes, they are so furry and soft on the inside. And most important, generous enough to fit most body types. Our spa attendant on that day was so attentive and wonderful. She constantly checked on us, brought us waters and was ready to assist with all of our needs. Honestly, she made the experience so wonderful. My only regret is that today, as I write this I can't remember her name. But she was lovely. I can't wait to go back during the warm summer months and spend the entire day there and enjoy the pool area as well as the spa. I am really enjoying having Graton in my backyard. It really fits the bill for so many things. It is a dinning destination, an entertainment hub, a weekend getaway and a great place to go for happy hour. read more

I had a fantastic girls day here. This is a very large spa and it's spotless clean. It also doesn't have a chemical smell near any of the hot tubs or pools- not even a little bit. Attention to detail everywhere from cold wet rags next to the sauna to fluffy clean mats for your first step out of the hot tub. I spent the morning going from the hot tub to the ice room and the sauna then lounge. After I put my super soft resort robe on I sank right into their upholstered chairs in their tranquility room where the attendant got me for my 50 minute pedicure. I nearly fell asleep. Then I spent the day on a huge daybed by the pool. They have attendants come around and give you cold bottled water as well as take drink orders. My favorite employee was Susana who was the towel attendant in the woman's locker room. She was so friendly and came over after the jets shut off in the hot tub to reset them and bring me bottled water. It was definitely a wow experience. This spa is top of my list now. I almost don't even want to post this review so it doesn't get over crowded here. read more

I always read yelp reviews but next-to-never add a review. However I just have to comment today. I can not rave enough about this Spa. The place is beautiful for starters. My 50 minute deep tissue massage was fantastic. And the best part.... was incredible care I recieved while in the Hydro Room! Angela was right there to bring me more water every time I finsihed my bottle. She noticed my towel had hit the ground and she hurried to bring me a fresh one, and then hung it up for me. She offered water, tea, and checked on me every 10-15 minutes all with a great big happy smile on her face. I actually felt like royalty, and I got the relaxation I so desperately needed. CeCe at the Styling Station couldn't have been more helpful and kind either. This is a truly great place to be pampered. I highly recommend Graton Spa! Cheers! read more

Pricey and worth every dime! As guests of the hotel you can use the spa, with hot tubs, ice rooms, sauna and steam and wonderful products. We had massages too that were terrific and a real treat. You can also use the pool, go back and forth between there and the spa. The quiet room has water, nuts and apples, and a quiet calm atmosphere. I would definitely want to go back when in town! Classy, the "hydro room" was the best part, which contained a sauna, ice room, steam room and spa. We had a couples massage and the ventilation fan in the room was so loud it was all I could hear, and I'm not easily disturbed. It was louder than the music. Yoshi the therapist was great, really worked out my shoulder like I asked him to, and very professional. The 20% service fee is ridiculous, just up your prices instead of being shady. However if you're a "players club" member you get the same % off so it's a wash, but still. A deceiving way to tack on $. The salon is top notch. read more

Why not mention the MANDATORY 20% service fee anywhere on your site? I was given $100 dollar gift cert for my birthdate last week. Called to see what I could get with it and was told "Not much plus we have a 20% fee, mandatory for all services". I don't want to be forced to pay more. If you feel your services are worth more include it in your price/menu. I believe gratuity is something willingly given based on good service and the satisfaction for such good services, not forced. I want to be able to decide how much I tip based on such service 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%. This should be MY choice based on MY satisfaction with your services. This review is for the SPA. I recently called to try and book a massage at this place due to their "September" special they had advertised on their website. Mind you, we are in October however since it's still on their website, I thought I would inquire. I called this morning and spoke to the receptionist, I told her about the deal and she preceded to tell me we are in "October" and the deal applied in "September" well, no shit lady?! I had no idea what month we are in. She said that I would need to pay the full price for the special I'm looking for and it wouldn't apply for the day I want to go to because it falls on Saturday in OCTOBER. I don't appreciate her condescending attitude. I'm well aware it's October lady. This isn't my first encounter with this spa, the other times I've called, the receptionists are short, unfriendly and just plain rude. For $$$$ I've paid, I expect a little more professionalism and a friendly attitude. read more

The spa is relaxing, they provide flip flops, deodorant, robes, blow dryer curling irons and as you are relaxing you can order drinks! Along with the spa room you can get a massage which I highly recommend. I also received a mani and pedi by a woman named Michela I know I spelled her names wrong but she is fabulous. They also have a room with a tv that doesn't make any noise and complimentary mixed nits, soda water and fresh apples just so you can really relax and even a notebook that everyone can right in or read for something inspiring! read more

Not really sure why this place got such good reviews. I met a friend there to enjoy our 80 minute massages that she had booked and everything went well until the massage started. I have to say it was one of the worst massages I've ever received. It wasn't relaxing or enjoyable and instead of feeling all my stress go away, I was thinking how much I wanted it to be over. I went to pay and got a shock when she said I owed $240.00! I asked why and was told gratuities were included. Boy that debit card seemed like it was glued to my fingers! I told her how difficult this was for me since it was such a bad experience. She said she could take of the gratuity, which she did, but I don't think it's how it should have been handled. I think my massage should have been taken off and the staff should have received my gratuity. It's management's responsibility to hire experienced masseurs especially if they are going to charge such ridiculously high prices. The staff shouldn't be short changed. read more
