We spent the day here during a day trip and overall we had a nice experience. The grounds of the spa are lovely. When we checked in, they showed us back to the locker room with our robes. It was a great spa vibe to get dressed in our robes and relax before each of our services. Once we were all dressed in our robes, we went into a waiting room for our therapist to see us. They were there instantly when we got there which was because we didn't have to wait too long. I had my massage and it was really good. I loved the therapist that I worked with and she was great. After my massage was over, I met back up with my SIL and sister. My sister seemed kind of unhappy and when I asked why, she said that she had booked her treatment for cupping and an intense massage but that isn't what she got. She didn't want to make a big deal about it. My SIL eventually went to the front desk and after awhile got it sorted out that they had a system error in their booking. They could still offer my sister the cupping but we'd have to wait a bit to do it. It was good that she was able to do the cupping but disappointing that her relaxing had to be disrupted and we ended up being there longer than anticipated and had to move some plans around. Overall it worked itself out and we still enjoyed our visit. They did a good job of handling the hiccup. read more

Where do I start! A group of us came for a bachelorette party and we were not disappointed at all. The grounds are stunning with beautiful gardens. The service was AMAZING! Ally at the front desk was so very helpful even when we were running a little late. The changing room is gorgeous with a steam sauna and two showers. Plus they offered lockers for all of your belongings. The experience was very exclusive and we felt like we were the only clients. I selected the back facial and foot massage and Charlotte made the experience really relaxing! There is a seating area where you can wait for your other members of your party plus a lovely hot tub and pool. They have a glass of champagne waiting when you're done. As soon as you drive in their driveway I felt as though I was in an Italian romantic wonderland scene! Absolutely beautiful landscape then at the actual spa, they greet you with complete respect and reverence as if we were celebrities almost! The place is marvelously pleasing to the eye and such a relaxing vibe. As you walk in, there is dim lighting and soft music in the background throughout the entire place. Their inside heated pool and waiting room was so delightful! They had cocktail servers going around to everyone there waiting in the lounge and pool areas! The massage room was very inviting and comfortable. The masseuse was very kind and professional. Vi La Vita recently reopened. I and my friends had Travelzoo vouchers from 2020 and we were assured that we could use them after their expiration date due to COVID. I never found mine and they did not believe me but my friends did so I paid $200 for a 50 minute massage so I could be with my friends. My friends were initially told that the spa would not honor the certificates (even though they received correspondence from the spa that their vouchers would be good through 2021. After much back and forth, they were told that they would honor them. The vouchers cost $129 and included a 50 minute massage, an add on neck and shoulder massage and a glass of sparkling wine. We were told that the restaurants and bar were closed and we would have to bring our own food. We were also told we had a 2 hour limit inside the spa but that we could hang out by the "pool" until 4:45. Our massages were so-so. My masseuse missed an entire portion of my body. My friends were told they would incorporate the add on into their massages. However, their massages lasted only 50 minutes! Did this mean they would not have received a neck and shoulder massage as part of their 50 minute routine? Prior to our massages, we sat in the mediocre, warm (94 degree) indoor "hot tub" and were joined by three others, each sporting a drink. They informed us the bar was open. My friends asked for their sparkling wine and asked if I could receive one too, just to be gracious. NOPE! No way. After our massages, we hung out inside (we were the only ones). We pulled out a bag of chips and someone immediately came out and told us we could not bring outside food or drinks into the facility and that we would have to step outside the pool area to enjoy them. This was not possible since the gate locked upon exit and we had no way to reenter the pool area. We were specifically told the day before that there was no food or drink available and we would need to bring our own! We attempted to enter the indoor facility to get our clothes but we were locked out because we exceeded 2 hours. Again, we were the only customers around! They let us in to get our clothes and we left, but not before they messed up the bills for my friends. It seemed as if we were being monitored because people magically appeared to chastise us whenever we appeared to violate their rules. The staff could not have been less gracious. As a recently re-opened spa, you would have thought they could show some graciousness and been delighted to have us. As it was, my friends were cheated out of their add-ons, we were treated with suspicion, we received conflicting and contradictory information from employees who clearly did not value us as customers. NO, we won't be back and NO we can in no way recommend them. read more

Customer service, ambiance, quiet and not super busy, pool, spa, what's not to love? While I wish the cost was a tad lower (I mean this is Sonoma County, not SF), I was willing to give it a try. The massage itself was so so but I'm super picky, as a physiologist myself. But the service was spot on and they were so sweet to my mom which bumped them way up. We were there until the last minute they were open and they gently reminded us to head out soon haha . Totally fine, I get you need to close and they did it in a very nice professional way! What a gem of a place. My husband and I visited here and each had the custom massage with the salt stones. We both loved the therapist we had and loved the environment. We are local so the idea of going to Santa Rosa for a spa day sounded weird but when you turn into the premises you feel like you are truly in wine country. The dressing rooms were very clean and modern and so many great touches (robe, slipper, soaps, showers, steam rooms and more.) Another positive is they have an indoor and outdoor pool so it would be a great place to escape to all year round. Boy, I really wanted to love my R & R day at Vi la Vita Spa. I really really did. I took the day off of work. The weather was perfect (100 degrees!). I came with my BFF. We had all the ingredients for a perfect afternoon. And yet, I'm sad to say that the experience was mediocre at best. Let me preface this review by saying that this Spa Day was purchased via TravelZoo (so therein lies some of my mixed emotions). The deal we bought was: a 50-minute Swedish massage + an extra Scalp massage + access to their pool. First off, let me start with the positive... - Vintners Inn is a gorgeous property. I had never been here before. As soon as you drive in, you feel like you're in a Palm Springs/Scottsdale resort. - The ladies who checked us in at the spa were very warm and friendly. They gave us a quick tour of the facility before leaving us to disrobe/prepare for our massage. - The spa has a lovely restroom for changing/showering. - The steam room is always a huge plus in my book. Always nice to get a good schvitz in. - Their waiting area is a comfy lounge that overlooks their two pools. I enjoyed the complimentary glass of bubbles. - They have two small pools (one is indoors and the other is outdoors). As for the not-so-great... - My 50-minute massage just wasn't very good. The masseuse was very sweet. But she barely used any pressure/elbow grease. None of my knots or tight spots were really worked out. It was like she was just speeding through it. - The bonus scalp massage wasn't really a bonus. It was just integrated in to the 50-minute massage. It wasn't an add-on. She literally spent like 3 minutes scratching my head. - The music they played in the background was your generic new-agey, Enya-like melodies. But at one point, the stereo played "Amazing Grace." Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely song. But it's also what they play at funerals. And it's not exactly a tune to relax to. But I digress... - Although my massage was supposed to be 50-minutes + supplemental Scalp massage, we finished 5 minutes early. Not too be overly critical, but 5 minutes is 10% of 50 minutes. - After the massage, my BFF and I decided to relax by the pool and order lunch. The menu from nearby River's Vine Cafe looked delicious. We couldn't wait to order some sandwiches and cocktails. Alas, nobody ever came to take our order. We waited for over an hour, and we were famished. By the time an employee finally swung by to check on us, we were already getting ready to leave. All in all, it wasn't a horrible experience. It just wasn't a particularly memorable one. For the $120 price tag (which doesn't include the 20% tip that they automatically add to the bill, based on the original price of the Swedish massage AND Scalp Massage supplement), I didn't think it was worth it. There are better spa options in North Bay. I'm glad that I visited the property. But I think the owners here could be more transparent with their TravelZoo offer. I paid $150 for what wound up being a 45-minute mediocre massage (sans bonus scalp massage) and the opportunity to hang out at a pool with no poolside service. What a wonderful experience. My best friend and I came here for her 30th birthday and we were treated like absolute queens. We arrived an hour earlier than our treatments to enjoy the amenities. We enjoyed champagne and chocolates by the fire place decorated with Christmas decor for the season. It was very fun and relaxing. My custom massage with Monica was incredible. She asked me about my problem areas and any sensitivities. The massage was perfect and one of the best I've ever had. After our massage, they gave us some treats. Where do I start with this place? First off, we are local and live right up the road from this place so I was SO excited to find them. We visit Carmel-by-the-Sea often and our favorite spa is there. We never thought any place could even come close to that one. Well this one did and it may have taken first place. We had a bit of a scheduling mishap given we were using a voucher to book. Long story short they went above and beyond to make it up to us. I'm so used to the "oops our bad *shrug*" mentality that so many places around here have. Vi La Vita takes care of their guests and treats them like kings and queens. Hubby and I arrived early to enjoy the many amenities and got to enjoy our snacks and wine out by the pool before our couples massage. A glass of wine+the most incredible full body and scalp massage from Alysia and I was one happy girl! Please make it a point to stop here whether your a local or visiting wine country! read more

If you're looking for a day spa in the area, it doesn't get better than this. When you book a treatment here, you get access to their posh locker room (with slippers and a robe), their relaxation room complete with warm neck towels, nibbles, tea, fireplace, and lounge chairs, the heated indoor pool (for spa guests only), and the outdoor pool (open to hotel guests too). There is an option for weekdays to just purchase a $30 facilities pass. That gets you into all those areas w/o booking a treatment. We came on a Saturday, so that wasn't an option. Plus, I wanted to make sure we had a reservation. Cheapest treatment there is a 25 min foot scrub that will run you about $80. We stayed for 2.5 hours, so it was worth it. The outdoor pool was rowdy when we were there, but some of us did go out there to tan a bit. You can order food and drinks at the outdoor pool. From the looks of some of the guests, I'm guessing the margaritas are delicious :) Inside the spa, it was a calm and quiet environment. You'll leave feeling pampered and relaxed. Most other spas in the area don't have this level of facilities. This place is great for groups up to 6, but no larger than that. read more

I recently went with a group of friends to get massages at the Visit La Vita Spa. We throughly enjoyed the ambiance and being able to spend time by the pool and relax before and after our spa services. We all received the Vintners Signature 50 minute massage. My massage was wonderful. The masseur was amazing with the exact amount of pressure I liked. She had wonderful technique as well. Most massages I've received have been more of just kneading, and she really got in to the knots I had and worked them all out. I felt so relaxed and rejuvenated. After the massage she offered an additional spa service, a foot scrub. She quoted me the price and I confirmed the pricing again with her before deciding to move forward with the additional service. The price seemed low for such a nice spa, but since I confirmed with her I was happy to move forward with an extra service. When I went to check out, the front desk person confirmed the services I had before processing the payment. I was surprised to hear that the foot scrub service was actually over three times the price I was quoted by the masseuse. When I inquired and explained I was quoted a different price, the front desk person explained that the masseuse I had was new and had made a mistake in quoting me the price. I was stunned and didn't want to make a scene in front of all my friends, so I paid and left. The next day I called the spa and spoke to the manager Will. He was so kind and understanding and made it right. I was so pleased with the service, care and understanding of the staff. I will 100% be coming back to this spa in the not so distant future. Truly, make sure you ask for Candace Tantarelli for your facial! When you enter, you are greeted warmly and escorted to the lounging area with lockers, beautiful showers and a sauna/steam room. After donning a spa robe and slippers, you are greeted in the relaxation room with water or tea and a comfy lounge chair next to a beautiful gas firewall. My husband and I enjoyed the couple's massage. Come early or stay after your treatment to enjoy the indoor or outdoor warm plunge or relax with a nosh and some bubbles.
