I tried the only cider they had on the menu, and it was really good--light, refreshing, and perfect for sitting outside on their patio. My friend ordered one of their lighter beers and really enjoyed it too. The patio itself was such a nice spot to relax, with a laid-back atmosphere that made it easy to stay awhile. Service was great, everything felt welcoming, and you can tell they put a lot of care into creating a good experience. We really enjoyed this brewery. Nice atmosphere and good beer. They had a really good black chezck which my husband loved and I liked my west coast style IPA. The downside of this brewery is that they don't always have a dark or darker beer. They produce those in small batches so if you have someone who prefers darker beer, there might not be one available so be aware. Also, you have to go order your drinks at the bar so if you want to be waited on, this isn't the place. They do do have a food truck if you want to order food. read more

One of life's simple pleasures is to be a part of a Beer Club that meets every Sunday at a different brewery. My friend Jim sends out a text message about 11 AM. Lets us know the location and those who are available. Can meet up. Most of the time we catch up on life sometimes we talk about beer. Gravity bound is one of these places we always find ourselves returning to. It's a great location and parking on a Sunday is pretty good. To compliment the great hazy beers, there's a quasi food truck kind of catering thing that serves food that a lot of people order from. There are two reasons that I come to gravity bound. One is the patio is absolutely amazing and they keep making it better. Seriously I would totally hire them to do a pergola in my backyard. The other is while I'm not a beer drinker, I freaking love their kombucha. Love is metaphysical is my absolute favorite but even the one they currently have on top which is a little more citrusy is also beautiful. They're really good about keeping out that vinegar taste from the kombucha and it's genuinely the best I've had. read more

Really enjoyed this spot. This was my second time here. The first time was for a run club run where it was warm enough to enjoy the patio space. Last night we were bopping around trying ABQ spots that had beer and kombucha. Nice that they had a palo Santo kombucha on tap that was pretty tasty. Not a ton of beer, a Mex lager, 3 IPAs and another beer. Enjoyed the vibe, allowed to bring babies and kiddos and they had a Mexican food truck outside. We came to Gravity Bound while visiting ABQ. We used to live here, but moved away (unfortunately) before this place opened, so it was nice to visit a new place. This has the classic look of an ABQ brewery, with a nice indoor area with a couple TVs, and a great outside space. Comfortable and welcoming. The service was great, and the bartender was super knowledgable about their beers and happy giving suggestions about what you might want. It's all beer, but you're likely to find something goos. There is no food, but like most breweries in Albuquerque, you can bring food in, order food in, or maybe hit up a food truck there. I'm an IPA guy, and theirs were good. Not great, but good. In fairness, ABQ has some of the best IPAs in the world, so the competition is stiff. I'm confident that Gravity Bound will only get better and better, so check them out now! read more

Life of Utter Gravity We stopped into this quaint brewery and tasting room to sample some of their suds, and we were blown away. A relatively young brewery, as Gravity Bound Brewing has been in business for less than five years but has quickly put the New Mexico brewing scene on watch with their stellar beers and their Quick Take IPA winning an award at the '22 NM Brewers Guild IPA Challenge. It's truly worthy of the award, as it might be one of the best Hazy IPAs I've ever tried with a smooth grapefruity finish with bold, hoppy flavor. The service here is also phenomenal, as they're all too happy to pour you sample shots to help you make a decision on what to imbibe in. No food but a welcoming, fun ambiance that you're more than welcome to bring your own food from home or wherever you choose. I believe they do have food trucks pulling up at certain days, but check the schedule as there was none during our visit. We were visiting New Mexico for the annual Balloon Fiesta and we always have to check out the breweries in town! We found this gem and my oh my! So happy we did!! Parking is on the street and a little tight. Once you arrive, you first see all the cute plants they have hanging from the ceiling and all around the place. Felt like being in a small botanical garden. We had their award winning Quick Take Hazy IPA. And let me just say, it did not disappoint. I would go back anytime. 10/10 read more

The beer and atmosphere at gravity bound are great. They have a steady stream of good quality food trucks. The facility and bathrooms are clean. The reason for the two star review, is the staff. The woman who is frequently bartending is either on or off. When she is off, she's rude to people. Our latest adventure to GB was during one of the downtown marches. Apparently, there was a lot of traffic through the brewery, which one would think would be a good thing for the bottom line and for tips. However, the female bartender refused to offer a beer sample because they ran out of sample glasses. Looks like somebody needs to do the dishes, or offer a sample in the glass you will serve the customer in. Next, this is one of the breweries that has started pouring a 12 ounce beer in a pint glass with a lot of head. If you're going to scrimp on the beer, charge me for a 12 ounce instead of a pint (looking at you too La Cumbre). Management: you are expanding into downtown and I really want to support you, but not if you have rude staff members who won't let us sample beer due to poor management staffing shortages, are snotty to customers, and offer cusco pours. You really have a good thing going. Please address these concerns. read more

This was a Great spot! Located downtown with not a lot around it... plenty of parking and seating. They have garage doors they open on nice days- which creates a great atmosphere. Bright, full of plants, beautiful murals, breezy.... the perfect spot to hang Staff was friendly. I wasn't drinking but they had a really great kombucha on tap. This review is based on one visit for five people. It was a Friday afternoon we got there about 4:00 p.m. and there was a lot of room inside and also outside on the patio. By about 6:00 p.m. the place was crazy busy. I think there was only one bartender. They did not have a large selections a large selection of beers and other beverages on tap but what they had was pretty creative and interesting. There is no food. They do have some piped in music, an unknown station, that was really pretty good. There is some Street parking. This was definitely my favorite brewery of everything I tried when in the Albuquerque area. Not only because of the innovative tastes of the beers but it was also the most relaxing space to hang out in in a town that is gone definitely Covid Crazy so to say... Not sure how long it has been open but the moment I arrived here and saw the vegan New Mexi cart parked outside the place I knew this was going to be a fun place to hang out. This is a basically warehouse turned brewery with roll up doors and a large patio where you can sit either indoors or outdoors. I appreciated the inside seating as it was f'g cold the time I was there and sitting outside for the Mediterranean inclined was not something I was getting excited about. They usually have a food truck present and it was not mandatory get food but the truck they had that day had excellent food. I love the cool name with the spaceman logo here, obviously they are creative people who own this place. And it shows in the beers they produce here. Not just your blond red and brown stuff lots of places try to regurgitate out there. They don't have a lot of beer choices but what they do have is very well assembled. They have two Lagers which alone is impressive. Lagers take much more time to make and most places don't even try to go there so that's why the blond ale is so prevalent out there, easy make money end of story. But anyone that is a beer connoisseur knows Germany and the Republic of Czech make some of the best beers in the world and they happen to be lagers. So Where Lightning Strikes Pilser and Proof of Life Vienna Lager are musts to try if you like clean crisp beers with some nice happiness. I prefer the Lightning as it's more hoppy but both are great. One of the most interesting beers I've had in a while was their Blue Layer which was described as a Blueberry Coffee Cake Sour. Not sure exactly what they use to make all those flavors but I did ask about the coffee and they so use coffee in the recipe. I happen to be a fan of sours but this bad boy at 8% was a first for me to I had to try it. Well like the title says it's got the coffee and the blueberry and in a tart little package. Not sweet or overly fruity it was for my taste absolutely amazing. I would have taken a growler home if I lived nearby. I think this is seasonal so get it before it's gone. They do make some traditional style beers like a NE IPA, an Imperial Stout and a Pale so there is something for all. As mentioned earlier the staff here are so nice and relaxed and are great to give you samples if you are not sure what you want. You can eat your food purchased separately at the food cart and everyone seemed to be really digging this place which felt very different from other places I went to. Overall I can't wait to come back again and try this place out to see what Gravity Bound beers they are working on. They really are out of this world, beam me up Scotty kind of stuff. Very cute brewery! I tried the strawberry and orange creamsicle sour and the lavender cider while my boyfriend enjoyed the Midwest and west coast IPAs. It was chilly outside, so the seating inside was hard to come by, but the patio was wide open. We had friendly quick service at the bar and the beers were very good. I feel this brewery stands out with its distinctive flavors and atmosphere. I ordered the Cucumber Basil Gose. The flavor is adventurous, crisp, and has a light tart after taste. Goes very well with a nice Cobb salad or sushi dish. They also serve kombucha and soda has well. So my friend hyped this place up, saying it was the best brewery in Abq. Likely due to high expectations, but it was alright. The beertender was very kind, let us try probably one of the most interesting beers I've ever had - their coffee s'more sour. If you like sours I highly suggest it. Personally, I don't think I could have drank an entire 16 oz of it but it was very interesting. Friend talked up their unfiltered hazy IPA seen in the pic. It was alright - unfiltered has a distinct taste - more yeast. Not my cup of tea. The brewery itself is very cute, outdoor seating, cute inside, bit small - not too many tables. Situated around the corner from Papa Frank's downtown. I'd come back to support them, but I don't think I'd label it "best in town" - damn moronic friend haha. read more

Such a great addition to the Albuquerque brewery scene. Our bartender (possibly the owner?) recommended doing a 50-50 of the kombucha with the basil beer (as I call it, I don't remember the name but that description is on the menu), and it was SO GOOD, I would recommend it too!! Everything was great though. The location is a super fun place to hang. Great outdoor seating and the indoor part has a garage-type setup that makes it more of an indoor-outdoor flow. They also have these awesome mosaic walls that add great light but also make for fantastic photo ops. read more

As in, it should be way way more busy than what I've seen it! Located on 3rd and Marble, exactly 1 street over from Marble downtown (nowadays there's a 45 min wait to get into Marbs) So come check out my new favorite beer spot!
