We hadn't been here for a while but we both think this place has the best micro brew beer in Albuquerque. The beer is great and the service was good. We don't come here a lot as we aren't big on food truck people but we think they have them most of the time at dinner so you can get food here. Long has it been since La Cumbre Brewing has been on my list and long has it been where I have been dying to try their beer. But at last Steve and I had the opportunity to try some and what we had didn't disappoint us in any way at all. The absolutely lovely beer we had from this brewery was the Blue Corn Mexican Lager. I love these kinds of lagers anyway so when beer options from this brewery were presented to me I didn't hesitate in the slightest to determine what to get. Flavor features with this beer are corn, cleanness and a zippines to it. It's also very light bodied and extremely easy to have more than just one in one sitting. Truly a great Mexican Lager and I highly anticipate the next opportunity to get this beer again I love it so much. And perhaps with some arm twisting I will try some of their other beer options as well. read more

I hadn't been to La Cumbre in 10 years or so, but it is still the same place with some improvements if memory serves me correctly. Although I couldn't drink during this visit, my friends enjoyed their beers, and I had kombucha. I appreciated the non-alcoholic drink option, but do wish there were more options. Their draft was very IPA flavor heavy, and I couldn't drink it, being allergic to hops. It was fairly busy at 4 pm on a Saturday and I was happy to see a food truck parked outside. read more

Good beer, awesome art design on the cans, and many seasonal beers, are a few things I love about this brewery. Aside from terrible parking, very inconsistent food truck appearance, and lackluster inside space, this brewery is a very important part of the Albuquerque craft beer scene. Recently, the staff have started pouring 12 ounces in a pint, with a huge amount of head. If you are scrimping on the amount of beer you serve in a pint, then charge me for a 12 ounce pour. Even your cans are a full 16 ounces. It's really disheartening to see 2 inches of head on the lighter beers and 1 inch of head on the pints. Fill it up!!!! (Looking at you too Gravity Bound!) I love your beers, but I will go to other great breweries who don't practice this behavior. read more

We stopped here today on our way to Santa Fe. We know how great the beers are. The taproom was very cool. But the best part was our server, Sarah. She was amazingly friendly. Back in the day, we stopped at La Cumbre Brewery, while on a hiking/beer tour of the area, and I realized my review never posted- so here it is (with reminder insights from Untapped app)- Seemingly tucked away, like a hidden gem, we learned they were actually one of the O.Gs of the ABQ beer scene, providing a variety of staple beers, with rotating specialty taps on draft frequently, & were a much bigger deal than we realized. We opted for splitting flights- because everything sounded so delicious to decided on just 1-2- and we settled in on the outside patio table area, soaking up the sun and ambiance. Reviewing my untapped ratings: I gave positive ratings to the variety- there were beers I absolutely loved -such as their base Sun Fade & Elevated IPA- and while I may not have loved the rotating seasonals-they earned middle of the road ratings, and notes of being impressed with the unique dankness or flavor combinations. Overall, I would visit again when visiting family in the area- a very positive experience! read more

We stopped here on our Road trip through Albuquerque and had actually seen this beer at a corner store on Flagstaff, which was one of the reasons we decided to stop here. The outdoor seating was very ample with overflow seating into the parking lot. Inside seating was also very spaced out. We got the Hazy IPA and the Dortmunder. The Dortmunder was a straight forward light beer great for the casual beer drinker. The Hazy was a pretty solid and fruity IPA with interesting notes. There was also a food truck, but we did not eat any food. I would definitely recommend stopping by here on your way through Albuquerque. It is not in the most scenic location though. We've been to La Cumbre multiple times and I am just now reviewing it! La Cumbre is one of the more unique breweries in town! Not only is it in an industrial part of town, but it is unique in and of itself - the decor is all beer-based, the lighting is dim, and the staff and patrons are eclectic. There are almost always 12+ beers on the menu ranging in style from wits to imperial stouts and most of them are fantastic. My personal favorite is the Formulation IPA! La Cumbre also offers a variety of canned 4-packs to go which is great to keep the party going after you head out for the night! Cheers! read more

I was on a trip & went here on the recommendations of a couple guys at the Harley dealership. Nice place with good beers. I did a flight of Elevated, Project Dank, Hoplaunch, Cactus Shack, Siren Song & Vivid. Cactus Shack was my favorite of those with Siren Song also a great brew. Siren is a whiskey barrel aged Imperial red, really good. Cactus Shack was a DIPA. They were out of my size in shirts, but I did walk away with a nice glass. read more

It's been a few months since opening down the road from us..... we live this new neighborhood brewery! Le Cumbre has always been a favorite of my husbands, now it's within a quarter mile from us! Located in the new Daskalos Mall and sits right on the corner. This brewery serves a vast group. They have a great outdoor patio which is quite popular.... hopefully they get heaters for the winter because indoors will be packed. Beautiful murals painted on the walls and the light fixtures with New Mexico plates fit the ambience perfectly! The wait staff are very friendly and accommodating. Our favorite wait person is Jenna! She always greats with a smile. I am partial to the beer beer which is always on tap but I did like their thunderbolt and the one that started with a "d" maybe dumble.... anyway beer is all good and will do well in its location. On a Friday night we love going for beer and eating dinner. Food comes from local restaurants. My favorite is M'Tuchis. They have a special menu for the brewery which has pizza and spaghetti and some antipasto platters. Great combo with Le Cumbre beer. Planning on going to a yoga class next Saturday! Can't wait!
