This is a pretty solid brewery with some really great beers. Although the interior is small at the tasting room site, they have a huge back patio that is open air. I can imagine it might be pretty hot during the day, but in the early evenings and at night, it's the perfect temperature. It's dog friendly, of course and they always have really awesome vendors. You can get food from next-door to bring over or they have One of my favorite brewery specials, pizza. The staff is ready with any recommendations you want whether it's beer or food, and it's just overall a great vibe. Definitely a cool place to hang out. read more

This is my ABQ Beer Passport review for Flock of Moons. Nice, clean, modern tap room with an interesting patio area. This is across the road from UMN and carries a University/hipster vibe. Mid day on a Thursday had a handful of patrons with a dad and his 5 year old deciding to sit right next to us (even though there were 30 other tables, don't get me started on how kids f@#$ up a taproom vibe). The seating in the taproom struck me as harsh and not conducive for more than a beer or two. Interesting mix of beer on their menu. I enjoyed their Grisette ("The Grey Havens") enough to have a second, which is rare when trying all of the different ABQ breweries. Not sure if they allow dogs. Parking is metered on the street (which sucks) so bring a pocket full of quarters (25¢ = 15 minutes) because the parking Nazis are ruthless. Not sure if they offer growlers, crowlers, or cans to go as there wasn't any visible signage to indicate that we noticed. While the beer menu was interesting, it's not in my neighborhood. I imagine it is hopping on a weekend night and they did advertise a bunch of events. read more

Not a big beer drinker...but enjoyed the ambiance and a beer with family one Sunday afternoon. The Flock of Moons brewery is down by the UNM. We sat outside in a lovely backyard filled with picnic tables with umbrellas. There are plenty of games to choose from if You need another fun diversion. Also TV ...great with football season upon us. And amazingly,I actually found a beer I enjoyed. The staff was kind and patient, soliciting my likes and dislikes. The brewery that has come to our neighborhood has been a true delight. The place is so welcoming and the brewery staff are knowledgeable. There is a wide assortment of beers and local kombucha options. There are awesome food trucks. They remodeled the location with a beautiful yard and welcoming seating. They've also hosted some amazing events from poetry readings, music, and trivia nights. It's great to meet my neighbors at this fantastic space. read more

The bonfires of Ganymede is a great smoky beer and the packing my bags for the misty mountains is a very smooth creamy nitro beer. The seating area is nicely decorated and has great vibes for hanging out. You can order delivery from a great list of local restaurants. Our bartender was knowledgeable and helpful. This building used to be Winning Coffee Cafe, where food and coffee were a mainstay. Students would meet for food or to study. Then it permanently closed. Recently I attended a poetry reading and to my surprise it was held in the same space. Only now it is a brewery. A great use of space. The room where we used to gather is now filled with brewing tanks. The other room where we now enter is filled with low and high tables. Very clean design. The beer I ordered, I'm not a beer drinker, was delicious. And the back wall is now opened up into a spacious outdoor area where a food truck is. Note: no food is made on the premises but they keep menus on the tables of where one can order and have it delivered. A new concept to me that is taking off at other fine venues. Visit this brewery at least once. The staff is cool! read more

This place is a perfect addition to the Brick Light District and University area! Their beer is great (my fave is their Belgian tripel, which is not easy to find in Albuquerque), but if you're not a beer drinker, there is something to drink for everyone, including locally sourced wine and spirits for a handful of specialty cocktails. The inside space is sophisticated with a range of seating and outside has plenty of picnic tables where you can hang out with friends and dogs. Every time I've been there, there has been a food truck. I tried the made-to-order pizza--it did not disappoint. The owners are usually around and are quite friendly. So are the staff. Everyone is working to make this place look and feel good. read more

Julia and Ally (Sp? idk whatever) acted not only as ambassadors to their establishment but to the wonders of the city known in this ethereal plane as, Albuquerque. I was given no less than 13 recommendations as to how to experience the city as a visitor and felt the genuine tone of kindness and friendliness in their presence. If I lived here this would be my watering hole solely based on my first (but not last) visit. Worst beers and worst brewery in Albuquerque service was not good and staff was rude!

This is without a doubt my new favorite brewery! It checked off all the boxes. Amazing ambience, classy, modern and very very spacious. Tons of room inside and out. Although right around campus it felt secluded and private. The staff was very friendly, chill and happy. Ample selection of brews, lots of IPAs and every one that I tried was extremely tasty. Super solid quality. My friend and I, self proclaimed beer snobs, were blown away at the quality of these beers! No joke. The food truck for Sunday night was the best we have experienced in ABQ . The owner cook fit right in with the quality and mood of this brewery. Had fish tacos, my friend octopus tacos. Best all around tacos we have tried in this city. 10 out of 10 in every category. Even the bathrooms were super squeaky clean !!! read more

Great new brewery in Albuquerque conveniently located just off Central near UNM campus. Top quality craft beers, good service. Low-key unpretentious ambiance. Posh place with terrible/nonexistent service. Went in on a slow Sunday afternoon sat down and waited for 15min plus without getting an acknowledgment of my existence. I get it the bar tender had more important things going on like drawing on his little chalk board. Was an awful dance of me trying to make eye contact and everyone that worked there ignoring it.so I left. Will give it another shot in the future and maybe I can actually try their beer.
