The best thing about this place is watching people scream their heads off on the few rides here. Other than that, it's filthy and old. Weak construction. The rides are pricey, anywhere between 15$ to 25$ per ticket. Go to a water park or one of the other surrounding adventure buisnesses. You'll probably get more ride time for your money.

For a family of 5, not too shabby on the price for mini golf and go carts! They are open at 7 p.m. nightly. They have a mini sand castle exhibit, a ferris wheel and two other extreme rides, as well as a mini arcade. We had a blast and would definitely come back. Parking lot can get full as the night progresses due to being near Dairy Queen and clubs as well. We came at about 8 p.m. but found a good parking spot. As we were leaving it was packed.

5 1/2 hrs drive to south Padre island and thou we did have other fun times this was darn near worth the drive. Go cart race with a roller coaster experience twist:)

This was a small kind of hidden gem, except for the huge ferris wheel... this is very close to Louies, so after enjoying the buffet and watching the sunset there we started walking to our car, but didn't quite make it. We did a pit stop here at Gravity Park, small area with big attractions. Rock walls, putt putt, go karts, slingshot oh my... We for sure enjoyed the go karts and felt as if we were in Mario Kart lol. Thought that the prices were a tad high however we indulged. Thanks for the random fun!

No frills mini golf--a couple interesting trick shots but no windmills, clowns mouths or anything like that. The girl working the counter was friendly. Amused by the $1 lost ball charge...

Recoil is the amusement park across from Louie's, which has several rides and go-carts. The Rocket ($50 for 2) is a cage on rubberbands which is catapulted through the air spining and screaming. The Sky Coaster ($25 each) is a huge human swing, in which you're strapped into a harness and pulled up 100 feet then dropped and swung between the two towers. Or there's the Bungee Jump, where your ankles are strapped and you dive out of a cage at the peak of a crane. You interested now?? They are actually more fun than it sounds!! They also have a large wooden track for go-carts and a smaller track for the kiddie go-carts. The kids loved the Trampoline Thing (yes that's the name) where they got to be bounced around and flipped around. And for onyl $7 ya can't beat a kid's smile!

The pictures speak for itself. I came on a pretty awesome week. So many sand castle exhibits to view.

It's very expensive for what you get, the go-carts are not in the best shape. 2 broke down while we were on the track

We went there yesterday. My husband and nephew liked the rides but as far as the employees, super unfriendly.

Go carts and mini golf are super fun here. The swing sling was a blast. The workers are nice and helpful.

This review is for the resort alone- we did not chose to go to the water park…read more I was terrified of what the resort or rooms would look like based on prior reviews that I had read on my way to South Padre- let me just go ahead and say I wasted a lot of energy and stress unnecessarily. First We pulled into the water park parking lot only to realize the resort is located further north on the island- minor inconvenience. We located the correct entrance to the resort pulled in- the lobby is tiny. I assumed the entrance to the rooms would be located in another area- but there is just a hidden walkway adorned with floor fans and staff entrances that led to 2 elevators. None the less the counter staff was absolutely amazing and friendly- they explained the water park ticket options (we booked through a hotel app so water park tickets were not included in the price) as well as towel cards and all of the resort rules. They asked me how many room keys I would need for our stay- I was pleasantly pleased that they were not keys at all, but wrist bands with built in keys to your room. My kids were ecstatic to be able to open the door themselves and I was equally ecstatic to not have to keep up with room key cards! After checking in we passed a small awkwardly located gift shop- doors out to a pool and into the elevator area. Our room was located on the 5th floor- room 513. The hall flooring could use a cleaning- but honestly it their busiest time and I'm sure would just get stained again quickly with all of the traffic. We unlocked the door to our room expecting the worst and was pleasantly surprised. Updated and clean rooms- very spacious. It had a table with two chairs, a dresser area with a larger sized mini fridge- a sitting area next to the window and a large dressing area and basic bathroom. The a/c worked amazingly- and the fan helped with any hallway noises. I was honestly surprised by the lack of noises above or beside or in the hallways! Possibly one of the quietest hotels we have stayed in considering the amount of children! I want to also say that the cleaning crew is absolutely top notch! They were SO sweet and took our trash and dirty towels when we declined room cleaning. We walked doe to the lobby to explore the resort- we walked out the double doors to the heated pool/swim up bar area. Passed what I assume is part of the water park rides and areas and then walked out a locked door (just use those wrist bands I mentioned) to a sidewalk that let to the beach grill- another little shop and the larger Non heated pool and a beautiful beach! We stayed during the week- the beaches were not too crowded but more crowded than I usually like. Still they were clean and enjoyable. We chose to bring our own chairs and umbrella but you can pay $30 for a chair and umbrella that is set up by the resort. The sand gets HOT- so be sure to wear shoes you can walk through sand in! Especially if you plan on walking to and from the beach grill to get frozen pina coladas! There is a little shower once you leave the beach- but it's only one and there is usually a line that you must wait in while everyone rushes to get the sand off. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants- but spent some time at the heated pool and swim up bar. Our bartender was awesome- drinks delicious and the kids had a blast being able to swim around in a 3 foot pool while we were able to sit in the shade drinking frozen concoctions. My only complaint is that it's heated. I mean it's 100 degrees outside- it was not as refreshing and enjoyable as it could have been at 1pm. While we sipped pina coladas at the pool we were also washing clothes. This is my only major complaint- there are 2 washers and 2 dryers for multiple floors. Luckily they were on the 5th floor were we were staying. There was quite a line to wash- and usually that's not a huge deal but the dryer took over 3 hours just to get the clothes semi dry. What a waste of energy and time! So if you plan on washing clothes plan accordingly of maybe just find a laundromat and save yourself time and money. The hotel itself does need some updating- humidity makes for lots of rust and mildew. The ceilings in the hallways (not rooms) are also very low- 7 feet I think? So if you have someone tall in your group it can be a little claustrophobic. We chose to pass on the water park- and I'm really glad we did. It looked like a dilapidated abandoned water park you see on one of those picture posts on facebook. Maybe it's better inside but from the outside it is just wooden shacks with clear plastic all over it and faded slides and rust. Not my thing.

Beach Water Park (formerly Schlitterbahn)…read more I'd heard about this place for years under the Schlitterbahn name, so when we had a free Saturday we decided to finally check it out. There's active construction on the west side of the park, a pretty substantial pit dug out, so right away the place feels incomplete. The concept here is genuinely different from any water park I've been to. The whole thing is accessed via lazy river. You float from attraction to attraction, peel off at exit ramps, and wait in floating tube lines for each ride. No hauling a tube up four flights of stairs in flip-flops. That part I actually appreciated. The problem is the wait times are brutal. We sat in one line for 40 minutes before giving up and walking ourselves backward out of it. The line barely moved the entire time. On the way out, one of the employees mentioned capacity on the rides had been reduced from previous years. That explains it, and also doesn't make me feel better about it. The lazy river access system only works if the rides are actually moving people through. When they're not, you're just floating in a queue wondering why you left the house. Wouldn't prioritize coming back.
