The crew did a great job on my home in Napa in the last part of September, October and November of 2025. They will be back to flush my water heater that they installed in September of 2026. I had a total repipe done of whole entire house and a new water heater was installed in my garage. It took a few months for the crew with Eric to get the job done but all my pipes are still working. They had to crawl underneath my house and dig a trench in the front yard to put in the copper pipes and drill through my closet in the bedroom behind the bathroom to put in more copper pipes and they put in new faucets in the bathroom and kitchen and sink in the garage. It took a long time, but I am grateful I have good water pressure though out my 1941 home in Napa. read more

They came out to do an inspection and bid for work we need done on a house we just bought. 99.9% sure they did the cup of water splash scam on me because they showed me a pipe in my garage/basement that had a LOT of water dripping out and a good splash of water on the plastic storage bins and floor below. They said it was coming from my shower, knowing we just bought it and never actually showered here. They were running the lines for a few minutes each to test them all. After they left I ran the shower for 20 minutes and that pipe and area of my house was was bone dry. (I ran the other sinks and shower just to be sure, dry.) Estimate scam and fraud. Fake reviews We did use them before for toilet repair which was not good, the job needed to be redone. This time we called them to unclog the drain. What can go wrong, right? Wrong! They requested $700 for some bogus repairs. We have refused, then they have declared they will charge credit card on file $120 "for estimate" without our approval. We got the job done with another company for a FRACTION of the price they requested. They have 360 positive reviews on Google Maps. The reviews say "they came to my house...". On Google Maps you can not leave a review unless your location history shows you have been to their office. Fake reviews left by multiple accounts from their office. Never call those guys. I called to replace a kitchen faucet in kind. I had exactly the same faucet my husband tore his rotator cuff and could not do it. They charge $125 just to come out which is fine. I was shocked to find out they wanted $900.00 for a simple kitchen faucet exchange! We paid the $125.00 for nothing and sent them packing. When I called to make the appointment I was told they would estimate the work when they got here. Never in a million years did I think this simple thing would be such an exorbitant amount. Jeffrey and Kivon arrived after Public Works turned off the main water line to our home. They inspected the front yard where the water was flowing uncontrollably and advised us what steps will be taken to resolve the issue. They went above and beyond to investigate the copper water pipeline and could not locate the break. During this time they made sure we had running water right away. Kevin (arrived later) and Kivon replaced the waterline with a new copper line and added additional shut off valves (city requirement). This morning the work was inspected by the city inspector and all is good. Who knows how long the copper pipeline was broken. We noticed the water pressure in our downstairs bathroom improved. Installed new water service pipes from meter to home. Very expensive. Sprinklers wouldn't work after work was completed. Called them and they came out but said it wasn't anything they did even though they didn't check above the meter. Turns out it was their fault and there was a crack and hole in the sprinkler line where they worked. They would not respond to my emails or my phone call so I had the sprinkler fixed. We called Jeffrey Gray Plumbing to come out and fix a wax seal and supply line leak in our toilet base. When he arrived he quoted $524 to do the job. We said that seemed high, and he said it was a "flat fee". This was for our rental property. When I went home I checked my bills for the exact same thing done by Ken Mays Plumbing, and the bill was $200. I initially contacted them to get a quote to replace a 1500 gallon grease interceptor. An appointment was made and Jeffrey and his assistant came out to assess the job approximately a week later. He told me he would work on the quote; obtain material and permit prices, contact the Contra Costa County Sanitary District for requirements and e-mail me a bid. I attempted to follow up with him approximately two weeks later by phone and no response. I e-mailed him and still no response. I called again the following week, leaving yet another voice mail and no response again. I made one final attempt by e-mail to contact him and never received a response. I think maybe this guy bit off more than he could chew with saying he could replace the grease interceptor but once he saw the job, couldn't admit it was over his head. Just by the fact he could not man up and admit the job was too much for him to handle, rather ignore my calls and e-mail, I would not recommend him for any plumbing job going forward. The thing is, had he been responsive initially, whether he could do the grease interceptor job or not, he could have had all our plumbing business for an assisted living facility. read more

This was a first-time call to Gray's after doing a little web searching for a local plumber. The call was quick and professional and they were able to come out the same day with a scheduled arrival time between 12 and 2 pm. Due to an error on my part, I was not home and received a call at 12:02 that they were at the house, ready to go. I know better than to expect that every time, given the unknowns of any earlier work they may be on, but needless to say it made one heck of a first impression. Michael and "Manny" were thorough, professional, and worked through the challenges of dealing with 40+-year-old kitchen faucet piping, corroded shut-off valves, seized fittings, etc, in 2 adjacent houses. After an inspection, the reasonable price was quoted upfront and that was what it was when it was all said and done. It was shocking what Jeffrey Gray wanted to charge for work at my son's house which I manage when he is deployed. Mr. Gray wanted $2,700 to replace a supply hose on one toilet, and to also put a new supply hose on each of the other two toilets to prevent future leaks. I just paid a local plumber $75 to do the same thing to one toilet upstairs. It's really shocking what Mr Gray tried to do to a woman whom I guess he thought wouldn't know any better. I really don't know. I paid him $300 for his ELABORATE estimate with a bunch of pictures which I can never use (could have potentially been useful for insurance but only to the degree of the value of a REPAIR) but I really wanted to find a plumber that I could hire to fix things for future years there in Suisun City. We had them come out because our pilot light kept turning off and my husband looked online and thought it might be the thermo coupler. He took out a volt meter and said oh no that's not it, told us he could change out our water heater for just over $2,000. My husband said no thank you, went to Lowe's and got a $12 thermo coupler, changed it and it's now been a month and our water heater is still operating perfectly!!!
