I was passing through from out of state a couple of weeks ago and my tire pressure light came on. Todd came out and checked all my tires, found they were all low, and made it right. Owner Jeff Moore grew up in Miss., always wanting to own his own Business as his Father had done. Jeff Graduated from University of Miss.with a BBA Degree. In Aug. 15 1988, Jeff was hired at a Company Owned Firestone Store in Kingsport, TN., where he was Trained and Learned about the Tire And Automotive Repair Business for 6 1/2 years. In 1995 came the Opportunity to Build his Own Firestone Tire Store in the Gray Community and in the 1st Year of Business Jeff never took a day off from work, he was determined to have one of the Best Tire And Automotive Repair Stores in the Tri-Cities Area, which includes, Johnson City, TN, Kingsport, TN and Bristol, TN. In 1996 Jeff hired Todd Harless as Service Manager and Todd was also ASE Certified, Todd Manages the Employees in the Shop. The mechanic recommended an upsell for a $250.72 Air conditioning Test (which showed no leaks), $63.14 for the Cabin Filter Service, and $206.93 for the Premium Cooling System Service. My mileage was at 74490. Since I have used them in previous years, I decided to trust them. Fast forward, and I try using my AC only to find that the first three settings on my fan no longer work. Zero air comes out on setting 1, 2, and 3. It will only emit air when on the highest setting. Prior to this "service," my fan worked perfectly. I tried submitting a contact form about this, but did not receive a response. I scheduled an appointment today with them to check the fan to see if something was just not put back correctly, and low and behold there is suddenly a leak that will cost an addition $980 just for the parts! Even though I have driven my car less than 1000 miles (my current mileage is 75241) since the appointment. They didn't even look at my fan, even though that was what I brought my car in for. Edit: I had another local mechanic take a look at my car. They confirmed that there was NO leak and replaced the fan on my car for $182 total. HTek is a total joke - save your money and go somewhere else instead!

I called for an appointment and told them I wanted an oil change, brake fluid change and the rear brakes done. I told them I had the brake parts and the lady on the phone said they could not warranty it if they used outside parts and I said fine, that's OK and made the appointment. I showed up the day of my appointment and brought someone to give me a ride home. When I told them I had the brake parts they told me "we don't install outside parts" . If they had told me that on the phone I would not have wasted everybody's time. I went to Carpenters automotive instead and they had no problems doing the work.

No physical statements and just discovered that it was 12 months. Statement shows a balance of close to $1400 as they just added well over $600 in interest charges at over 30%. Suspecting they were taking advantage of her, we consulted Tommy, our trusted mechanic in Knoxville, who confirmed our doubts. Although we managed to retrieve the car, my daughter still paid a lot for almost nothing. This time - when her car stopped running again - we found Brian. He quickly fixed the car and charged us a fair (and low) cost (based on Tommy's estimation). He was also accommodating, accepting the car after hours, and is someone we trust to not take advantage of those who don't know much about cars. Overall, Brian is a great mechanic who we highly recommend.
