I have twelve tattoos, and Tash is the only artist I've been back to after my first planned piece with them. Not that there was anything wrong with the other artists, but I loved Tash's work and the experience of getting a piece from them. Their work is artistic and detailed, whether drawn-on at the appointment like my ivy was, or sketched and stencilled ahead of time like my pitcher plants. Even on the inside of my arm, their lines are clear with zero blowout. Their studio is small, private and comfortable. They're very tidy and put a lot of thought and work into maintaining a sterile space, as well as still wearing and requiring masks. I can't recommend Tash highly enough if you want black ink botanicals, for sure. read more

I was tattooed by Tru on Sunday 3/5. Both Tash and Tru were there and super great to be around. Norman was also very cute and it was worth it just to see him. Tru is still an apprentice and was very sweet the entire time they were tattooing me. They made sure I was comfy the whole time. I've never seen lines so crispy. I had to tell them a couple times that they could use more pressure and I wasn't in any pain the entire time (only slightly uncomfortable from laying on my belly not because of the tattoo). I came here at the recommendation of a friend to get a cover up for an abuse related tattoo. It was important to me to be tattooed by another trans or nonbinary person. Tash put lots of effort and thought into making me feel so incredibly safe, and the whole process was very consent focused. Their studio was beautiful and well lit with tons of art and decorations to look at. They were so respectful and informative and the whole experience felt very emotionally safe for me. They came up with a gorgeous design, adjusted the sizing and placement at my request, talked me through the whole process and showed me all the colors they'd picked and why. They also wore a mask and required everyone in the studio to wear one as well as having what I think was an air purifier running the whole time, which as someone who's very Covid cautious myself, made me feel really safe and comfortable. They allowed me to split it up into two two hour sessions, and although they state on their website they prefer no numbing cream, they allowed me to use it (I asked beforehand during my initial inquiry) which was a lifesaver for my pain tolerance, which tends to be pretty low for needles. They also gave me information about which otc painkiller is better to avoid blood thinning. The studio was a comfortable temperature and they explained aftercare to me as well as gave me a pretty inexpensive product recommendation for healing which was easy to find at a drugstore, and gave me a card with all the aftercare instructions written down too. They had good sanitation practices, every surface was covered, and they changed gloves multiple times to avoid cross contamination. They also talked me through aspects of their tattoo process, such as redoing the lines again after colors to make them pop. Their secretary who responds to emails was very communicative and helpful. For my first session, their partner was in the studio tattooing another client for part of it, for the second session it was just the two of us. There was so much care and thought and consent put into this whole experience, and the result is absolutely stunning. I will 100% be coming back. Thank you so much to Tash for such a wonderful and healing experience. I can't see my old tattoo at all, and the result is more beautiful than I imagined. read more

As of yesterday, I have received four tattoos from Tash, which should be good enough of a testament to how amazing of an artist they are. They are an extremely warm person to be around, first off. Very easy to converse with, but also makes it abundantly clear that they're okay and encouraging of any boundaries/accommodations you'd like to set (mobility issues, talking or staying quiet, etc). I had an all day session with them yesterday, and the first two hours we spent chatting a bit, but after a coffee break they popped a headphone in while I watched Attack On Titan (they have a TV with streaming services in their studio!) The energy of their studio is refreshing and inviting and you can tell they put an equal amount of love into their space as well as their craft. And, not to mention, of course their tattoos are dope as fuck. I've gotten two flash pieces, a custom piece, and a freehand rework piece done by them and they are easily my most complimented tattoos.
