During that time, the shop attempted to contact me while I was in class, so I was unable to answer immediately. I tried calling back multiple times but was unable able to reach anyone. Eventually, I received a call during school and had to step out briefly to respond. During that call, I was informed that the original estimate would no longer apply due to additional issues they claimed to find, including removal of the pump and pulley due to cross-threading and alignment issues. The only prior notification I received was a voicemail stating there was an update on my vehicle. The final cost ended up being nearly double the original estimate. When I asked why I was not notified or asked for approval before additional repairs were performed, I was told that since they couldn't reach me and the vehicle was already on the lift, they "figured they might as well" proceed with the work. Recently, while inspecting the vehicle myself while addressing the A/C compressor, I discovered that the high-pressure power steering line had not been properly replaced as expected. Instead, it appears to have been patched using a piece of rubber secured with a zip tie. The line is still actively leaking fluid. In addition, after retrieving the vehicle, I found that the power steering pump had been run dry during this period, which resulted in damage and required replacement. If negative or 0 stars was an option I'd leave a review with em.
