    D & T Automotive - What they called "fixed"

During that time, the shop attempted to contact me while I was in class, so I was unable to answer immediately. I tried calling back multiple times but was unable able to reach anyone. Eventually, I received a call during school and had to step out briefly to respond. During that call, I was informed that the original estimate would no longer apply due to additional issues they claimed to find, including removal of the pump and pulley due to cross-threading and alignment issues. The only prior notification I received was a voicemail stating there was an update on my vehicle. The final cost ended up being nearly double the original estimate. When I asked why I was not notified or asked for approval before additional repairs were performed, I was told that since they couldn't reach me and the vehicle was already on the lift, they "figured they might as well" proceed with the work. Recently, while inspecting the vehicle myself while addressing the A/C compressor, I discovered that the high-pressure power steering line had not been properly replaced as expected. Instead, it appears to have been patched using a piece of rubber secured with a zip tie. The line is still actively leaking fluid. In addition, after retrieving the vehicle, I found that the power steering pump had been run dry during this period, which resulted in damage and required replacement. If negative or 0 stars was an option I'd leave a review with em.

They held their shop open until our truck was towed in. They quickly analyzed and repaired our truck. Very professional, courteous and efficient. Pricing was very reasonable. Great job, great team and great business. Five stars in my book. Thank you, Stoke Works.

We were limping down the freeway at 35 MPH, in an 80 MPH zone. We called 2 other places first, the Ford Dealer and some other company, both could not see us for at least 2 weeks. As we were not from ID, we were completely stranded with a 5th wheel and gimpy truck. We were desperate. Fatefully, Stroke Works answered the phone and we gimped over to their location, where they specialize in performance diesel trucks of many makes and models. There couldn't have been a better fit for our issue. They were kind and EXTREMELY helpful and VERY dedicated to their craft. They had the parts on hand. They stayed late on that Friday to diagnose the issue, all while thoroughly answering our hundreds of questions about when, what, how and how much. They diagnosed the issue as a fuel pump and injector and as some of you may know, that is a MAJOR job, at least on our truck. They had to lift the body completely off the chassis to access the parts. They stayed late on the Friday before the 3 day weekend when most others would have said, "Sorry, we are closed for the weekend." They recruited their workforce to help us out and work ALL DAY on that Saturday. When others would be out "playing" for the weekend, they were working on our truck. They made us their priority. They accommodated our trailer for the day. They made us feel as if we were the most important customer they had. They did the job expertly and in a timely manner. We felt completely confident in the work they did and were very compassionate about our situation. They showed us exactly what the issue was, showed us the parts, told us step by step what they were going to do and exactly how. It would almost be worth driving the 600 miles every time our truck needed service to have them do it. Most importantly, they did the job correctly in our extremely urgent situation and we made it the last 638 miles of our journey! I CANNOT say enough about their service and quality! If you need a quality diesel shop USE THEM! They are AWESOME!
