They always tell me about additional discounts they have on other seafood. This time I saw a great deal for 8 whole filets of the Black Cod fish. So I called and they told me about specials. I got an additional pound of king salmon, halibut, Coon shrimp (a native type!) and a few jars of salmon caviar eggs! I already had the caviar eggs with my breakfast and simply wow. So fresh. I steamed the black cod whole filet with some ginger and wow wow wow. Hubby could not get enough of it! Highly recommend if you need to buy fresh seafood delivered straight to your door. I ordered 10 LBS of the Baiardi Snow Crab legs. They were horrible. My first time ordering from here. I order 10 lbs a month from another company and I thought I would give them a try. Big mistake. The crab was not fresh. It was old crab. It appears that they cut the body with a saw and it is on each leg which it is totally dried out. Leg meat was stringy nothing like crab meat should be. On the plus side they did give me a product credit no cash refund but they wanted me to pay a shipping fee if I did not order 8 lbs of anything. I do not think I would buy anything from them again. Wrote an email to the CEO he didn't care called Samantha Customer Service she didn't care! Why? By law food is to be labeled. The contents of any package should have an outside label requirements, pursuant and regulations of federal government laws. The sockeye was thinner than I would ever buy in the store. Maybe 1/2 inch thick The Coho salmon was paper thin As you can see next to the width of a dime I called to complain the woman then said well you could have asked for premium cuts for a dollar more a pound... thanks for telling me now. Purchased $383 worth of salmon Steaks, halibut portions and trout- first time buyers. The box was received in good condition, and all the fish look great. We rushed to put all the fish into our freezer for consumption later. Well, we've tried the salmon, which upon opening smelled horrible! How weird because the steaks look fantastic. We've tried the halibut, which upon opening and defrosting had so much water it was like squishing a sponge before cooking. Seriously! 8 paper towels for little tiny 5 ounce cuts (not steaks). Upon trying to fry, the halibut came out like tough crab shreds; it was awful! We've tried the brown/rainbow "butterflied" whole trout. Fish eyes were clean and clear... but there was No Meat at All! Little tiny brownish trout with no taste and no meat. What a waste of money. They are no flash freezing properly or letting the catch hang around in dirty water before freezing. I ordered some King Crab legs on Thursday. Got a confirmation and shipping date by email. Paid with Amex. Next day I got an email that my order had been cancelled because their system could not verify my personal information. My Amex was billed for the full amount and charged on Friday. I called them to see what they could not verify and they said it had to do with my address or the address of the person I was sending it to. They could not tell me because their system did not tell them. They said I need to use PayPal or ApplePay, yet they allow credit cards on their website. They told me a credit to my credit card had been issued 2 1/2 hours earlier and it would show up on my credit card in 2-5 business days. As far as I am concerned this is a scam. Way overpriced: their $13 a pound salmon roe came out to almost $60 a pound after about 3/4 of it ended up being waste after cleaning it off it's placenta. That's much more expensive than the ready to eat version sold at stores. 2. Was apparently shipped with only one pack of dry ice, which was gone by the time I opened it in the evening. 3. I contacted them immediately about the lack of ice, slightly melted ~$200 worth of fish, and was promised everything will taste fine. I live in Michigan where we don't have the best selection of seafood. Ordered 4 lbs of King Crab Mérus. They are the part of the crab leg that is the meatiest. There isn't the tip or knuckle attached, just the leg itself. I was hoping that they would be worth the money as I haven't bought crab from them before and when the package came, they exceeded my expectations! They were huge and with getting just tenderloin leg sections it takes the hard work out of cracking them! There were 5 big legs included in each 2 lb package and I think it would be impossible to eat more then one or two per meal. Well worth the money! If you get the chance, order these type of crab legs before they run out, as they aren't usually offered. Flavor is excellent. but at least half the pieces (and you do get small vac-packed pieces, not larger fillets like you'd typically see at the deli counter) are tail pieces with pin bones. We ordered 8 lbs of halibut petit filets. When they say petite they mean petite. The halibut pieces averaged 3.5 ounces each and are 3/8 in thick at at least one end. They resemble the very end of a filet at the tail end. We buy most of our seafood online and this is our first time buying from this seller. We were going to buy some king crab legs soon but now we're afraid of what we'll receive. Most reviews of this company are stellar so we are very surprised. I checked every company that is selling seafood and this one is best in pricing and shipping. The product we got is always good, fresh and vacuum sealed. Growing up at the Pacific ocean and having the main food - seafood, I can tell the difference in the good fish or not so. These guys do great job. So so products. Smoked salmon products are marginally ok. Forget the lox, its horrible. The fresh salmon was good but I give that credit the the brave fisherman in the area. The one thing these people do very well is market product with tasty confidence advertising. Update: Essentially these people present a product that is not what you really get. They are all marketing, no reality. I just thawed out my whole Salmon to discover it is no where near "sashimi" grade. It was smelly even before being fully thawed. Its flesh was so over frozen to the point where you could squeeze the water out of it. This means the cells raptured from being frozen more then once, or frozen over a very long time. None of the products this company markets as sushi grade - is sushi grade. We had to cook ALL of the products we bought. And the salmon, we had to cook but even then the tissue was so damaged we ended up giving it to the dogs. $500 dollars WASTED. My biggest loss yet. Going back to our original salmon supplier. So, I've ordered about everything. The smoked salmon is OK - not great - you can probably do better in your local grocery store. The true cod - it didn't matter how I cooked it - baked, fried, you name it, it was rubbery - not flaky. I was so hopeful! The king crab pieces are incredible! The sweet shrimp is incredible and quite honestly, you can't get these in the grocery store. The boxed coconut shrimp is over-breaded and has no taste when cooked. The salmon is good. I think they have some good things and some not so good things. You be the judge. You pay a lot - but you can't find all the things they offer. Most things in the grocery are farmed.
