We are frequently in Soldotna visiting family and are often there multiple times a year. Although we most times will just make food at home, who doesn't want a great pizza to lessen the load of a day sitting in the warmth when its cold out or after a long day of fishing? Pizza Boys is always a great option and has delivered every time. The meat lovers and Hawaiian Punch are two of our favorites and always come out great. The online ordering has been consistent and reliable with the pizza being ready for us to pick up every time. I've always been satisfied with the process and pickup in store has always been friendly. The waitress was nice but the kitchen made a small size instead of a medium. Absolutely no apology or compensation for the twice as long wait time (50 minutes) in a dining room with unruly loud kids at the next table. Ended up taking it to go. Got home and the pizza had no flavor except for GARLIC. Piles of GARLIC over the pizza. Under the toppings. GARLIC to the point of it burning and tasting like vinegar. See pictures. Called back. Asked to talk to one of the 2 managers. The girl who answered the phone wouldn't pass me to the manager like I requested. She spoke with one and got back on the phone and said- yah. There's garlic on that pizza in the sauce. I told her that this is a ridiculous amount and could send her photos. Just had a great meal in June 2025. We've become comfortable with this place. On this visit we had a Margerite pizza and a Greek salad that was modified to our taste: no kalamata olives but artichoke hearts instead. The salad was large and came with garlic bread. The pizza was tasty and had a crisp thin crust that was nicely crunchy to the bite. The table service was friendly. This is a great casual dining joint after your summer adventures on the Kenai Peninsula. My family and I have always enjoyed pizza boys. But yesterday we put an order in online to pick up. This is what happened. Pizza order placed, pizza came out of the oven ready to pick up. Arrived to pick up the couldn't find it. Here the delivery guy or gal grabbed it and took off with it. Therefore they had to make our order all over again. We started out with the stuffed mushrooms. Decided that they were so good, we needed a second order. We could have just lived off of these mushrooms and beer all night long. Drove through their "slice box" (I think it was called) today for my first ever Pizza Boys and it was FANTASTIC! I've heard great things recently so while I was in town today I grabbed a slice for the road. It was hot, crispy and the perfect amount of cheesy saucy goodness. I didn't notice their special of the month till I was handed my food, it sounded awesome. Now I'll have to go back and dine in. I might have found my new favorite spot. Pizza is always tasty. I understand that it is summer season, but I would suggest to add 10-20 minutes to your order pick up estimate. Last Thursday night they were off on the estimated pick up by 30-40 minutes. We ordered at 7:44p with an estimated pick up of 8:14p, we were finally able to pick up our pizza at 9pm Today we arrived at the estimated time and was told another 10-15 minutes for it to be ready. This place gets 5 out of 5 stars. Being a pizza snob coming from California, I know what good, fresh, farm to table pizza is. Especially boutique pizza - not a corporate chain. After trying a few other places on the Peninsula - this is the only place to get a good pie. The crust is on point with taste, texture, and color. It's crisp - not overly doughy. The sauce is great too. I always order a double pepperoni, double cut because I have kids and it makes it easier to handle for them... and for dad on the drive home. Be warned - they can be busy but the pizza always makes up for it. The staff are great, the manager knows how to treat their customers. The owner, a blond female, has a great sense of humor. All of which you find out by going inside and having some chit chat - if they have a moment because they get business. It's a smaller place if you're looking to dine in, but they keep it tidy. The bathroom is clean. They have the obligatory soda pop choices and some gelato if you're feeling brave. Don't rest too long of the negative reviews - some people can never be pleased. This is our go-to place for take-out or delivery pizza in Soldotna. We haven't eaten in the restaurant or tried any of their menu items, but it has a pleasant atmosphere and a nice menu. We ordered from this place twice on separate nights. First delivery was on time and second was about 30-40 mins late. I believe the owners wife was manning the station tonight, middle aged blonde haired white woman. First time we've ever seen anyone besides the male owner working the pizza joint. This woman was rude to us as soon as we entered the restaurant. Despite this, we stayed and ate our usual pizza. My family was hoping for a nice relaxing dinner but instead was greeted by a snarky, rude menopausal woman. Needless to say, this initial encounter ruined the entire experience. Restaurant was very warm when we first sat down inside. We ended up moving outside to get a breeze. Server brought out our salad which was very good. We also ordered a pizza and waited a very long time (25-30min). Other tables outside were receiving food so my husband went to check on pizza. He acknowledged each customer as they came in, explained the situation and promised to get to each person as soon as possible.
