It's always enjoyable to shop at the Great American Antique Mall. The antique ceramic Christmas trees caught my eye. I ended up going back and buying 5 of them! We bought Hollands, Arnells' and Tampa Bay . One of them had little wooden ornaments glued on but my husband was able to remove them without damaging the tree. I just love all of them! Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this establishment. I went in looking for authentic, antiques and left disappointed. You walk in and it looks like home goods. So much that I actually looked up some of the stuff that was on the wall and was very surprised. For instance, they are selling a framed new picture looks like it's from Walmart. I found it on the Internet for nine dollars and they are selling it for almost $30. Again, not an antique. You can find it at Walmart. I don't know what is going on with establishment, but they need to decide if it is a thrift store or an antique store. It's definitely not antique. read more

This antique mall is full of gorgeous vintage and antique items as well as items made by local artists. It is well curated and the staff is polite and helpful. So many different styles are represented from MCM to Rustic Farmhouse, Colonial and French Procincial and everything in between. It is a great place to to get beautifully curated items for your home or as gifts! A hidden gem with good prices. read more

I decided to finally stop in~ and I picked a great day! Raining on and off makes for great antiquing weather and tons of people thought the same thing! The store was busy and they had a sidewalk sale, raffles and sales across numerous booths inside! A boisterous voice greeted me through the door offering me a raffle ticket and showing me the vast shelf of prizes behind him! Ok! While my ticket didn't get called the raffle jar was full! I was thinking- wow, is this from today so far~ they have been busy! This store has a mix of antiques, local artistry, home décor and more. Off I went to explore and didn't make it far before I found something I wanted- in a locked case. Their were other guests waiting to look- so I took a picture and moved on with the thought if it was still there when I looped back around- I would grab it. And it was! I had found a couple other treasures and dropped them off at the front counter and asked about the item in the case. The lady was great and said she would set it aside with my other items as I was only half way through the store. I lapped the store twice before checking out- making sure I didn't miss anything. All the items I picked happened to be on sale! Win-win!! I will have to come back to see what new treasures they have! read more

This is a pretty cool store and despite the name, this is an eclectic mix of things. Some of the merchandise could be described as antiques, however they also had food items, jewelry, etc. One thing that I thought was pretty cool was their collection of old signs. Pretty cool, if you asked me (I will just assume that somebody asked me). This business is conveniently located on a main road in a strip mall with decent parking. Service was friendly and the store was definitely set up to browse. It was a cool experience all in all and I would definitely give this place my recommendation. read more

CHALK PAINT and supplies HEAVEN!!! I searched *everywhere* in Jacksonville, the Beaches, and Ponte Vedra for some good quality chalk paint and no one had the certain hue I needed. My jaw hit the FLOOR when I entered Great American Antique Mall and saw walls, and walls, and even MORE walls of Chalk paint, decoupage transfer paper, stencils, decoupage gel, and more! I was able to buy everything I *needed* there and also was inspired to elevate my original design by getting some Designs by Prima decoupage transfer paper too! They have several different kinds of chalk paint brands included Dixie Belle (which I won't get again because it took too many coats to cover my furniture) and also Debi's DYI (which I LOVED!) The lady who checked me out was funny, personable, and was the cherry on top of an amazing shopping experience! You can bet I will be a regular from now on! read more

In my mind it is more of a flea market rather than an antique mall as one is hard pressed to find any true antique items. Mostly vintage Nick knacks with lots of brand new things mixed in are what's to be browsed through. If that's your cup of tea you will like browsing. read more

A great place to walk around spend an afternoon reminiscing. They have some new things, old things and renewed things. They have a really great soap & hand cream section that's smells amazing. They have a jewelry section. Just a lot of fun to visit or buy something beautiful for yourself or your home or a great gift. There is always something new to see. We love it! read more

Owning a local real wood furniture store makes me a bit of a furniture snob as it comes to quality, lol .... this mall had it all! Great quality, plenty of high quality furniture construction and reasonable prices. They also have a nice representation of the Farmhouse, Rustic and Shabby Chic furniture and decor. Very impressed and a pleasure to shop. Definitely one of my top 2 stores I visit when it is time for some new items. You won't be disappointed! read more

Has a lot of great stuff but poor customer service. I really liked a piece there but when I literally moved a drawer slightly, the fragile items on top shifted and fell. Two items were broken so I offered to pay for it because I felt bad but I don't feel I was at fault. The items that were on top of the drawer shouldn't have been there. The store should not have had me pay for that. I feel badly for the artist but that was the stores fault and they should have taken responsibility for the loss. I liked a lot of pieces there and they definitely lost a couple customers. read more

I visit several antique stores as a passionate hobby. This store the staff is friendly, willing to help and have no issues calling the booth owners. It has a variety of merchandise that ranges from furniture, jewelry, and depression glass to name a few. It is clean and not musty like other stores. read more

It's basically the law - you're in San Marco square, you go to San Marco book store. The book selection is ever evolving so there is always some new treasure to discover among the stacks. And often, I find books in there less expensive than Amazon. And there is a selection of books with author signatures as well, for no additional cost. Some of the signed ones have been ordered from the publisher, but a good portion of those come from live author events the book store participates in. There are so many wonderful events you can attend here, like the author signings mentioned above (and of course a slew of other things) And often, those authors will sit for a chat. I discovered a new favorite author when I accidentally stumbled into one of those events. It was neat to hear her discuss her book and answer some great questions. The. Store is also very involved in the community around them which I love. (The owner even participates in the group walks in the area sometimes!) They also partner with the library for some larger author signings and other events. If you love reading, this is a must visit!

Glasses from McDonald's, sports memorabilia, action figures, Precious Moments etc. Just a great selection of vendor, THE place to go for collectibles of all kinds. The staff were very informed and helpful. Many of the vendors were having sales as well. You can find a great deal here. I recommend you visit Out There Antiques as part of the excellent Vintage experience in the St Johns and Jacksonville area.
