Similar to most other Kilwins locations...the delicious smells that greet you at the doorway and display cases full of inviting treats and ice cream flavors. This particular location had friendly workers who took the time to educate you about the fudge making process which was taking place in the side corner. We were exploring Rosemary Beach and decided to visit Kilwin's for some ice cream. When we arrived, they immediately offered us a sample of fudge which was nice. We decided on one scoop of the chocolate toasted coconut. Honestly, we were shocked with the total was $7.50 for ONE scoop of ice cream. Being from New York City, I couldn't believe it. While it was ridiculously priced, it might've been the most delicious scoop of ice cream I've had in a long time. The chocolate wasn't too sweet, and it was loaded with toasted coconut. I love when ice cream has a ton of fillings. I'd come back, but only because it was delicious. Can we keep a single scoop of ice cream at least in the ~$6 range? read more

The aroma greets you before even opening the doors. Willy Wonka meets high end ice cream shop! You can't go wrong with any selection. You are able to try their selection of fudge, I was able to try about 5 and all flavors were tasty, not overpowering. Brought back home 3 slices. They also offer ice cream, shakes, chocolate bark, and their famous laffy taffy. read more

Pretty good spot for ice cream. We sat outside and watched people on bikes and walking around. Staff were very nice and had many suggestions and recommendations for taking fudge to go. Call me cheap, but one scoop of ice cream on the cheapest cone known to man has no right to be that pricy- even in such a nice area as Rosemary. Great ice cream place. Ice cream was creamy and loved it. Why 4 stars, the wait was forever. They need more staff. They have someone on cones, fudge and ice cream. They needed 5 people on ice cream then go back to candy area if someone wants that. It was clear 90% of people wanted ice cream. While the line was long it shouldn't have taken 30 minutes+. I've been in longer lines at other places and it takes 10mins as they understand how to get people moving. The mint with Oreos is bomb. Good balance of the mint with the cookies and cream sweetness. I got the limited chocolate caramel cookies and cream. It was also amazing it very rich. Chocolate was deep and creamy. Didn't get anything else but definitely yummy ice cream. We just got back from a wonderful vacation at Rosemary Beach! We lucked out and the house we rented was a 20 second walk to Kilwins! We are a family of 7 (parents, and 5 kids elementary/middle school age) and we came to Kilwins every single night! Was it expensive? 100% yes! I would never spend $80 on ice cream every single night back at home. But here in Rosemary everything is expensive, so it's par for the course. The first night we all got root beer floats. That $80 (plus tip and tax) price didn't feel worth it. They were regular old root beer floats. The next night, we were all so tired from a fun day and didn't want to make the 20 second walk to the ice cream shop in the evening. I decided to walk over and get one of the ice cream cakes they sell. The smallest size was $42, and served 8. My husband must not have realized the first night we paid $80 on root beer floats, because he thought I was crazy for wanting to spend $42 on ice cream cake. But I told him we would actually be saving money by getting this cake as our nightly dessert. So we got it, and it tasted just like an ice cream cake. Nothing special, just what I expected. The third night we figured out what the best deal was! A small waffle cone of ice cream. Those are $8.50 each, and after buying 6, plus my husband's medium cone (he said it was way too much ice cream in a medium), we still were at mid $70's (tip and tax) for our ice cream. BUT the waffle cone was warm! And the ice cream was delicious! So this time the price was a little less easier to swallow. If we went back to Rosemary Beach, we would 100% eat ice cream here every night. I would just make my own "ice cream" line item on my vacation spreadsheet and budget $500. Priorities. read more

Kilwins is one of our favorite places in Rosemary Beach! We went tonight about 9 PM and the line was out the door! Obviously it's the most popular spot around... And likely because of amazing service from people like Peyton!! The fudge is delicious, the ice cream is amazing and the candy apples are outrageously delicious!! We can't wait to bring our little ones back tomorrow night... And the next night... And again and again!! read more
