Don't do it unless you really don't care what your haircut result is, because they don't either. I'm not sure what's worse, the haircut or the attitude. It's evident that they have no interest in what their doing, and they emanate this feeling that you're burdensome. I don't know if it was a bad day at the office for all of them, maybe something happened and they were all discontent for some reason, but this was so uncomfortable that I wanted my son's & my haircut over with as quickly as they did. Two simple cuts, and they just buzzed expeditiously without a care. Waste of time, and now we have to wait for the hair to regrow so we can go somewhere we can be cut with care. I had a family member's wedding on Saturday and came here on Friday the 7th for a cut. My standard cut is pretty easy, level three all the way around, rounded around back, scissors up top, parted to the right. Now onto the positives. It is located in a strip mall, has lots of parking, and I did not have to wait. Ok now that those are out of the way, I will go on to the negatives. The stylist who I used was in a funk and let everyone know. I walked over to her booth, and sat down, being the nice guy that I am asked how her day was going, and her response was you don't want to know. I shrugged it off and got the vibe and impression that she not in the right headspace. 10 minutes of complete silence and it was a struggle for her to give me the basic haircut. She seemed annoyed that I asked her to clean up my eyebrows at the end and when she took the cape off, I asked her to get 2 straggler hairs on the back of my neck. Not very good. The reservation system apparently doesn't have much meaning to them. Also, I've had my hair cut there several times and the beat it's come out is passable. I don't think my hair is hard to cut as I'm a guy with short hair. I'm usually pretty forgiving but I've had enough with this place. Been going here for a while. New manager is the best. She knows her stuff and handles the challenging heads of hair. Overall nothing fancy, just an efficient clean place to get a good haircut. If your ego needs stroking and you want to shell out $50 for a hot towel this is not your place. Stylists each have their strengths so you may need to go to them all to figure out your favorites. ZERO STARS WOULD BE MORE ACCURATE. The haircuts are what one would expect for about $10 bucks. However, on three separate occasions, I used their app for reservations. All three Times I ended up waiting and multiple other times just walked out because the wait was over half an hour, when the app said 5 minutes. I did leave my number 3 times for the lady who owns the franchises. She never bothered to call me back. I complained to the corporate office, and they said it wasn't their problem because each one is individually owed and operated. If you want a cheap cut and like being treated like crap and wasting your time, then this is a Great Clip for you. On a positive note the workers are nice, but apparently the owner, who owns 3 shops, doesn't care and is too busy to bother. read more

I go here frequently as it is inexpensive and they do a decent job. They can't seem to keep help as the stylists keep changing. They keep notes in the computer so the :new: stylists comes close. I am not sure why they can't keep people.. I really like the remote check-in feature on their App. That is really cool and I do use it every time. Stay away! My 7-year old went in for a haircut and had some woman with red hair who seemed completely clueless. My daughter went in with hair halfway down her back and left with it right above her shoulders and that was NOT the plan. She seemed to have no idea how to cut hair and then had no clue how to blow dry it either, she didn't even know what kind of brush to use and she burnt my daughter's scalp. What should have been a quick couple inches off the bottom turned into a nightmare that took over an hour when it was all said and done. I had the worst cut I ever had in my life. I actually took a photo which my hair looked like when I went in. The style was exactly like Erin Napier of Hometown. I just wanted the back of my hair cleaned up and some of the weight taken out. The back was fine but she went total Edward Scissorhands on me and literally scalped the left side. It looked like she put a bowl on my head and cut around it. There was a straight line about 1 inch above my left ear and she cut all the hair behind my ear leaving practically a bald spot. The right side was short but just above the ear. When I questioned her she said she had to do that to make it blend in. Nothing was blended and I look like a little boy or a mushroom. take your pick. They can shave men's hair but they Have no clue or skills in styling hair. Years ago my son would go there and then come home and ask me to fix his hair. It was always uneven with high and low spots. There is no fixing my hair since there isn't enough to fix. I would never recommend anyone who likes their hair or needs it styled to ever go there. read more

WOW! I just got a hair cut there this weekend. There wasn't a salon open any where else, so I stopped in to finally get an overdue hair cut. First the place smelled like sour ass and sweat for some reason... THAT should have been my warning to leave right there and then... but I thought I might have missed another chance to get a hair cut if I did leave... so I did the stupid thing and continued with great clips. Second, the guy that cut my hair was really rough around my ears... ass seemed like he tried to tear it off when he went around it with the clippers. Third, he tried to give me a fade, but he just layered it from using the clipper's numbered guards, so I looked like an attempted Christmas tree after the cut (2 bad layers.. looked like a tiger clawed me). Fourth, when I asked him to fix it, he just shaved off the upper portion, so now, the lower part was sticking out... and I started to look like I had some bad military cut because the top part of the side was a buzz cut with a patch of hair on top of my head (which I specified I did not want, nor did I come into the shop with any look like that). Fifth, when I asked him to even the top of the sides to bottom part of the sides out, he tried to use a stupid comb to shorten the bottom part of the sides with scissors, and ONLY the sides (so the back part of my head is uneven with my left and right sides)!!! At the end, I looked like a wanna be punk biker chick with one side of my head with a layered back end, the other side highly buzzed (uneven), AND with UNEVEN side burns from the left to right side... how the heck do you mess up side burn balances !!???!!! Now, I understand that Great Clips is not the place you go for quality, but I was honestly just looking for a short trim... it seemed like this guy was really trying to ruin my hair... He seemed like he didn't know how to cut hair, nor understood what a hair cut would feel like. There's really not that much can do to mess up my SHORT hair... but alas, a simple task gone terribly wrong. ...all I can say is... WOW... read more

Barbara is one of the first stylists to know without being told that super curly hair can't be layered or cut too short! I haven't gone to a salon in ages because too often (despite specifically asking for what I want) I leave with layers and hair cut too short. Barbara knew what she was doing and was super nice. Be careful going to this place. I went in armed with pictures of a long layered BOB with specific instructions as to how long the shortest layer should be. The girl that cut my hair was extremely slow & did not listen or did not know how to cut hair. I wound up leaving with a oddly layered short shag haircut. It will take many months if not a year to grow back what was cut off. Be careful trusting this place to do what you ask!! I would have given 0 stars if it was possible. The walk to place for basic, inexpensive, simple cuts. Some cuts have been great, others not so much. Have never experienced rude staff, they always seem friendly, even if they have an avalanche of customers. If you find a stylist you like and is good, chances are they will eventually move on. With adjusted expectations, it's usually OK for a quick basic cut. read more

I once was getting my haircut and Nyla was my stylist...this woman kept on drooling all over my hair during the haircut and her breath smelled like rotten fish. I asked for her to please stop getting so close to me and she just laughed and said she was just not feeling well lately and to please hold still. She also was very rude and inappropriate and she kept on breathing very very close to my ear and neck. I'm only 14 and as a 70 year old woman I think this was very inappropriate. She asked how I like my hair cut and when I told her longer on the top she called me a "sissy boy" and started laughing at me. When she took the cape thing off she "accidentally" brushed her hand on my crotch area. I didn't want to tell anyone because I felt ashamed. She actually burped right in my face and said, tell your dad to come in because she would make sure he knew what a "real lady" can do. My husband has been going to Great Clips now for over 2 years and gets a fantastic haircut everytime. His hair looks perfect each time that I wanted to take my 5 yr old boy there. I was driving all the way to David Alan cuts for kids until I wanted to give this place a try. Delmi did a Fantastic job on his hair and really took her time. This place isn't the best for a haircut-especially if you want specific haircut. One, the store isn't clean, there's hair in each station-overall not clean and tools are unclean. The workers are nasty. These stylist, (I could tell) aren't trained. These girls just graduated salon academy or wherever they came from. They are nasty, but they have no problem with men, in fact, they were very well behaved with male clients. I grew out my hair and I wanted a trim and some layers and a U-shape, and what I asked, I didn't receive. My ends are uneven, there's choppiness at my ends too. I asked for a face frame and she didn't even do that. I don't know her name but she is tall with short wavy bob hair. She was VERY unprofessional, it was disgusting. No one is trained there, so if you want a nice hair cut, please go somewhere else. This store is the prime example of what happens when you go somewhere because it's cheap. A cheap price=a bad hair cut. Wise to just spend the extra money and take your services elsewhere. Period. read more
