Went this morning for a haircut after spending 15 minutes trying for a check-in. Then The program said I was 17 min till haircut. I canceled another appointment and came back to app that said it is 48 min till haircut. I arrived 15 minutes early, go to look at the app, and it had canceled me. Ok, I get it, 1st day back on the job after pandemic. But don't belittle me when it was the salons fault I was canceled. Oh, and this wasn't the first time either. Used to go regularly, usual ladies or man staff. Very nice, good haircut, no complaints. But since new ownership..its gone downhill. Everytime I go, it's never the same staff. One technician barely spoke English and had to give her my name and number 4 times. Today, I checked in via phone. Got there on time and no one asked my name, or info. My name displayed on screen as checked in. Sat there for 15 minutes, and still no one asked me for name or info. Then, 2 ladies taken before me....still no one asking me my name. Why bother checking in? 20 minutes total...I just left and went elsewhere. read more

I was a walk in and there were 4 or 5 hair cutters working I waited by the counter and one asked if I had checked in on line I said no she said she would be there in a minute will 5 mins later another one finished a cut and came to the counter and I asked do they still take walk in and she said yes but there were now 4 on line ahead of me when I walk in there were 2 ahead of me and if they would have help me sooner I would have been 3ed instead of 5th in line with a 22 min wait ahead of me so I left and will not return ...it's to bad as I have been going there for almost 15 years read more

This place is the best place I've ever went to . It's the only place that's ever understood what I wanted rather it's a hairstyle or just a trim they don't cut off way more then what they are supposed to like so many other places and they are super cheap . I'm also a picky person about my hair and they've never done me wrong .My whole family comes here and all of us have curly thick hair . read more

I have been getting my hair cut here for a few years. It's convenient to just check in online and see how long the wait will be. Plus they log what your usual is and you don't have to explain too much unless you want to change it up. The ladies are always friendly and nice to chat with. Also, it's conveniently located in the Bay Dale plaza so you can easily grab a drink or lunch afterwards. read more

HORRIBLE! Went just to give my hair a healthy trim and left in tears. I've gotten it trimmed before and had no issue but The woman who cut my hair, cut it way to short and had no idea what she was doing it seemed. She claimed to be cutting the layers when I DIDNT HAVE LAYERS IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!! It was so choppy and looked so bad. I literally told her to just stop cutting. Absolutely the worst hair cut ever to date! My hair was cut way to short and chopped up on the sides and uneven top lengths, top lengths varied from .75 inch to 1.5 inches? Went in on 12/24/18. Was taken back quickly. No shampoo or conditioner. Woman just sprayed water on my hair. Told her I wanted longer in front and short in back and about 3-4 inches off. Also asked her to thin it out. She only cut about 2.5 off. She made it shore in front and longer in back. She didn't do any texturing with the shears. She took a a if thinning scissors through the sides and back once and pulled at my head while she was doing it. She half heartedly combed and pulled through my half dried hair. Took a blow dryer to my hair for a couple of seconds. Did not fully brush it out and when she got to a tangle she ripped and pulled them sighed and gave up. While she was ringing me up this other stylist looked at me in a very judgemental manner... Looking me up and down and then fake smiled at me. I went out to my car and ran my fingers through my hair and pulled out clumps of hair bc she thinned it with those weird scissors and did not brush or blow thinned hair out. All this for $18... Awful service, bad cut, and judgemental stylists. NEVER GOING BACK! EVER! They really made me feel just awful. read more

Quick and efficient but TERRIBLE haircut! If you are a parent with limited time and a pack of children all needing a haircut at the same time, then I would recommend this place. However, if it is a good cut you are looking for, I suggest going anywhere else but here. I kept an open mind and decided to try Great Clips because I figured, "how badly can you screw up a simple trim with long layers and bangs?" I'm guessing they don't do shampoo because they didn't even offer. My stylist just sprayed my hair with a water bottle (which she sprayed directly in my face multiple times) and then sprayed me with a gross smelling water/conditioner mix (also right in my eyes, which stung!). The stylist did not listen to me when I said I wanted a trim and long bangs. What I ended up with was more than 5 inches GONE and bangs that BARELY REACH MY EYES. I am so disappointed and upset with my haircut. I left the salon covered in hair clippings, hair that was not at all what I asked for, and with a filmy nasty layer of cheap conditioner all over my hair and face. I am very unhappy and will never go to a Great Clips again! read more

This was the first time I got a haircut at Great Clips in Arnold, MD. No one was in the shop and an older lady with the chair on the front-left of the story took me back. She never introduced herself, was rude and short, and gave me a terrible haircut. No surprise that the shop was empty. I will never return. read more

Worst haircut and service I have ever received. I was not asked how I wanted it cut, and so when I piped up with what I wanted the cutter got a huge attitude and became very sloppy, obviously cutting one side shorter than the other (I suspect on purpose). This particular cutter should never come in contact with customers, and has no talent or brains for cutting hair. Never again! read more

Got the worst hair cut of my life here. Not only did employee not know what "layers" are, but has no idea how long "two inches" is either. Made a Yelp account just for this.
