I've been getting my hair cut at the Great Clips Avon Lake branch for over a year. Generally I see Bobbie who does a fabulous job of trimming my mid length hair. She really listens to what I'd like and I've spent over double their prices at other salons and have also seen some of the other stylists at Great Clips and they compare highly as well . Been going here for at least 12 years --- when my me and my son - he has special needs - check in on the sane on line reservation, I get bumped and can't get my hair cut after him! I will never understand the program logic. I get there before anyone else. Yet I get bumped? Then I find out that this location was just sold -- and that long employees quit. Time to move on. read more

I've been coming here for haircuts since I moved to Avon Lake 8 years ago, and the stylists have always been friendly and GREAT at what they do! (See what I did there?) The salon is nice and clean and there's ample parking. They don't take appointments, but the Great Clips app makes it so easy! You can see how long the estimated wait time is, so you can plan your arrival and check in on the app ahead of time. Also, be on the lookout for their semi-annual $5.99 hair cut sale! Their normal price is $14. My hair grows really fast, so I come here often and I've always been happy with my do! All of the stylists that have cut my hair have been awesome, but I'd say Sierra is my favorite. read more

JUSTICE FOR RICKY A great disservice was foisted upon my pal Richard upon his patronage to this grooming facility. He entered with a positive attitude and left with negative hair cut. It was just an average visit to the salon, or so it seemed. Little did he know, on this most fateful of days, that he, Slick Ricky, would not be going home in one piece. As they called his name and he approached that chair, he knew in his heart of hearts that something was off about her, that she wasn't just any normal cosmetology practitioner. No! There was something more sinister boiling beneath the surface, an intent of pure malevolence! If only he had but the will to heed the warnings his heart was so desperately screaming to him. It urged him to turn back with every floppy beat within his hairless boy chest. But alas, the calls went unanswered. A life of luxury had left his intuitions dulled, his mind foggy. I had a great first experience with Sierra/Ciarra (not sure the correct spelling) at Great Clips on 3/5/2021. It was my first time going there and was a bit nervous. She was so kind, patient, and conversational. She gave me the cutest cut! Also since I was cutting off 15 inches, I was able to donate my hair to Wigs for Kids and my haircut was free. I've had my hair cut at other places for 12-15 inches and they never mentioned being able to donate my hair. I definitely look forward to future hair cuts with her!! read more

We had an unfortunate experience at a different location and thankfully Sierra from the Avon Lake location helped us and our 3 year old son so much! It took weeks for our son to emotionally be ok to try another stylist and to also grow out his hair so we could make an attempt to correct what the previous stylist cut incorrectly. Our son is 3 years old with some delays and sensory issues. Sierra was extremely patient, spoke very politely towards him, told him everything that she was doing and would be doing next, was courteous, gentle and treated our son like her own. His hair looks so much better and we went home with a very happy and smiling handsome little boy! We can't thank her enough! God bless her! read more

I never get the same stylist twice but then I don't expect too. For a quick bang touch up or trim I am ok with it.

The dimwits that work here don't seem to understand plain English. Had a horrible clip, went back to get it fixed. Again, while I'm asking for the sides to be the same length as the top and bottom so it doesn't stick out like Bozo the Clown, same haircut again. I went home and shaved my head bald to fix it!!! At least it's all the same length like I wanted. I repaired the damage. read more
