I think this is the worst cut I have ever gotten. It was so bad that my usually oblivious husband immediately commented at how bad it was! I went in with hair below my bra line and asked for a u shape in the back. She asked how much I wanted cut off and I said as much as needed to make that happen. I had no idea she cut off about 6 inches in an attempt to make the u shape in the back. How are you going to make a u by lopping all of that off? When she asked me to take a look it was more like a shoulder length extremely flattened v with a ridiculous point in the middle. I asked for it to be tapered around my face, but when I got home and blow dried my hair to flat iron it, it looked like stair steps! She took a long time on my hair and it is curly so I had no idea of any of this until I was at home getting ready for our work Christmas party. With no other option at that point, I tapered the front myself and did my best to fix the back. My little girl looked embarrassed for me and did me the honor of snipping off the stupid little point in the back. I don't know what is so hard about cutting long hair into a tapered u in the back. Last time someone tried, she butchered it as well, so maybe it's a thing? But the choppy stair steps next to my face were the final straw. That is very basic and she failed so miserably. I gave her a good tip because she spent so much time, but I had no idea as she was fluffing up the curls she was just hiding the bad cut. read more

Paige does a good job but this week she was not there when I went in and a black lady with dreads cut my hair. She was nice enough but since my son's wedding is in two weeks I did not want it cut too short. I said to keep it covering the top of the ears and to leave it long in the back. She did neither. Thank goodness I didn't say cut it short...I would have had a marine haircut. Hopefully, it will grow some before the wedding. Stay away from this woman. She will butcher your haircut. read more

Good grief. Just asked for a trim. 2 inches in a straight line haircut. Easy right? It's so crooked. Will have to return to get it fixed. Could not have asked for a simpler cut. Just wow. I've come to this Great Clips a few times now. The ladies are all very sociable and honestly, my haircut isn't that complicated so it helps me get in and out super fast. I also always check in online so that I can be first on the list by the time I get there. Definitely make sure you do this! I did once have an issue where the lady cutting my hair forgot to clean up my sideburns. I was in a bit of a rush and hurried on without realizing. Once I got home and realized, I called and asked if they would be willing to help me out. I went back and they let me skip ahead of all the people waiting so that I could quickly get cleaned up. I get the GC text saying 15 min so I head back there. My name is gone from the list, but no one waiting so i was told I was next. After 15 min waiting for them to finish other customers, in walk two others. They took them in front of me. Not only was I not next, I was not next-next, nor next-next-next. Been coming to Great Clips for over 15 years. Signed in online and was given an estimated 23 minutes. Got there in 18 and was told it would be another 15-20 minutes before I could get in. Waited in lobby for over 35 minutes before my wife was called up. ONE HOUR after signing in on line and I was still waiting to get served. Unfortunately, this is not the first time the wait has been excessive so I walked out and will never return to this location again. I hardly ever write bad reviews. I am taking exception. My wife came home today very upset by Annette. She cut both my boys hair this morning. My wife said Annette was rude to her and very rude and acute with my 9 year old who has some anxiety issues. Apparently Annette was a joy to my 6 year old. This made my wife think Great Clips has notes on my 9 year old regarding his issues. Annette stated before cuting my youngest she had had him before and he is a joy. When she did cut my oldest boys hair there was issue with him stating she was hurting him with the clippers. And while I doubt she hurt him she did leave red marks in his head around the ears. Then she had the audacity to tell and show my wife why she couldn't possibly be hurting him. I recognize my boy has anxiety issues but seriously if a kid is telling you you are hurting them rather than defend your position why wouldn't you just listen and try to be accommodating? read more

The shop was clean, the online check in easy. Busy during my last visit, so it was good to be able to skip the line. Annette did my trim, and she was excellent. Talked through all of my options and helped me make the right decision for my face and body. Very professional and fast. Planning to come back and see her again. She suggested a few hair products for my hair texture. The products are a bit expensive, but I'm planning to buy the conditioner and another suggestion at my next visit. read more

I took my 8-year-old son to this Great Clips this morning, and he was manhandled by a stylist named Ginia. My son did not tell me about it until we were driving home, and as can be seen in the pictures, he has numerous cuts and abrasions on his neck, right cheek, and both ears. My wife and I immediately went back to the salon to complain and to show the pictures (which I have attached to this review). My money was refunded (although the stylist who cut my hair did an excellent job), but despite this complaint, they immediately had the same stylist (Ginia) cut the hair of another boy approximately the same age (and I showed that boy's father the photos, and his face lit up). My son cried and said he will never get his hair cut again. I am a child psychologist and my wife is a physician, and we are hoping our son does not develop any infections from this debacle! Most importantly, I want to make sure this never happens to another child. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced! If you go to this salon, do not let a woman named Ginia cut your hair! read more
