They still have this horrible stylist named Haneen who I wanted highlights from bad quality poor vibes and a careless manager who's huge and irresponsible also quite ignorant they let 3-4 animals to be in the salon and use the bathroom on the floor by your chair while you get your hour ruined because Haneen is by far the worst stylist ever she will damage your hair and nobody cares about your hair there Including Lynette who is superficial. It's very overpriced for such a low class salon it's in Scottsdale next to Sally's and Walmart off Pima. DO NOT waste your money or time. Bad business there with stylists who have poor hygiene as well, so if you go you will need a mask it stinks in that place. Haneen and her manager argue in front of customers and they have no regard for their clients needs. They damage hair and it's a negative experience there. You will also wait a super long time for any services and get treated pretty rudely, staff was short tempered and destroyed some lady's hair with leaving color on entirely too long!!! good riddens to these weird people who think they know how to do hair. I was there over a month ago. Andrea cut my hair and dye. She told me it was 90.00. When I was through and was about to pay, she told me ok thats $190. ....What At this time she already had my credit card. Why so high...Andrea said theres a 20% gratuity that the store charges and cant do anything about it. My hair was 150.00 plus 40.00. I said to her and you told me my hair cut was 90.00, Then she said thats just for the dye. Anyway...It doesnt say anywhere in the store that we charge 20%. gratuity. Walked in to ask the price for a haircut. The older gentleman at the desk was rude and curt, answering my question with distain when I just wanted a simple question answered. The vibe just wasn't it, it felt very rude and off putting. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. There was an absolute disregard for professionalism from my hairdresser, Angelo. He was blatantly racist and spent the entire appointment making offensive and stereotypical remarks specifically targeting Indian women. The comments were not only disrespectful but downright degrading. He constantly made snide remarks about my ethnicity, asked if my hair was "hard to manage because I'm Indian," and made other inappropriate comments that left me feeling humiliated and unwelcome. It was incredibly uncomfortable and awkward--an experience no one should ever have to go through. On top of that, he didn't even cut my hair properly, leaving it looking worse than when I walked in. This place doesn't deserve anyone's business, and I strongly recommend that you never go here or spend a dime at this salon. read more

I' m new to the area and was in search of place to do a root touch up and trim. I was able to make a same day appointment with Angelo. My experience was outstanding!! It was literally the 1st time in decades that I didn't leave a salon with a ton of dye around my hair line and my hair was so soft. Angelo was a complete professional. He was friendly, helpful and took his time to make sure I got the exact color and cut I wanted. I am so happy (and relieved). I had a few recent bad experiences at some high end salons so I was a bit nervous. Angelo's 40+ years experience was evident. I had Leah as my stylist and my mom had Anthony (I might have spelled the name wrong). Let's start with my mom. She got a loose perm and before he even got started, he took the time to explain to her what the current condition of her hair was and what the best option was as far as the integrity of her hair and look that she was going for. He was so patient and took the time to listen to her and answer questions. He was also super kind the entire time! My mom was happy and will be going back for sure! Defenitly a 5 star dude with a 5 star experience. Now, my experience.... AMAZING. Leah is so great with color. I had my dirty blonde roots with an inch or so of orange and the length of my hair a yellowish blonde. I have never gotten my hair done professionally and you could defenitly tell when looking at my hair. My goal coming in was to go white/Platinum blonde. Leah took the time to explain just how bad box dye is and how sometimes it's extremely difficult if not impossible to get out. So with that being said, we weren't sure what was going to happen. She spent so much time with me and I am so greatful. We did a full bleach which took care of most of the hair except for that orange row around my head. (Thank you box dye *sarcasm*). I have been pretty self conscious about that yellow orange look so this was definitely long overdue. Leah then took the time to go through layer by layer and focus on getting that leftover stuff to match the rest. I can go on about all of the stuff she did but basically she also did a cut, blow dry, conditioner treatment and so on. She took the time to explain all of the things I need to do to protect my hair. Anyways, 6 hours later.. we ended up with a beautiful white blonde and I am extremely grateful. Not everyone can do blonde like that and it usually requires multiple trips. Granted, everyone is different, but even then, she handled my hair like a magician. I just wanted to put it out there just how amazing these two were and how they took the time to take care of my mom and I. So HUGE HUGE SHOUT-OUT TO ANTHONY AND LEAH FOR BEING LITERALLY THE BEST HAIR STYLISTS WE HAVE BEEN TO. While I was waiting for my appointment, I overheard Brenda (one of the hairdressers) speaking with a client. They were making racist comments about how certain ethnicities & races smell, hygiene, body odor, etc. Not only was Brenda allowing her client to speak like this in a public place with people of many ethnicities & races, but she was contributing unkind remarks to the conversation as well! Although it made me very uncomfortable, I didn't say anything. I got up to view some of the products that are sold in store. 10 minutes later when I sat down I heard Brenda's client ask "Do you guys charge extra for long, thick hair?" (which she did not have). Brenda asked her to elaborate, the customer then said "The girl that was here earlier, probably a teenager, had long, thick, black hair. That must be a hassle to deal with. I can't imagine how she does it in the summer when it is down to her mid-back" (at this point I knew they were talking about me, I had been sitting for about 45 minutes and she had thought I left) Brenda replied "I know, that is so unattractive". At this point I was very uncomfortable & honestly shocked that someone who deals with people all day could be so unkind. As someone who has ran companies, I suggest Brenda work somewhere isolated from people. She is the type of person to "poison the well" and bring sour attitudes to employees and customers. Had a nice head of hair until I came here. "Stylist" with a Mohawk chopped up my head. I felt bad for her so I paid, didn't complain and even gave her a tip. After getting in my car I was so upset (sad and angry) I found a barber to fix it. Now my head is almost shaved and I'm going to wear a hat to hide my shaved head and a skull cap at work because I'm so pissed off and unhappy. Asked for a simple wash, blow-dry, and beach waves. She never had me facing the mirror, which was red flag #1. Once I turned to look, I was horrified..I looked like a Dutch boy in a bad Toddler & Tiaras episode. THAT'S when she admitted she doesn't know how to do beach wave curls. She THEN attempts to straighten it back, only it doesn't work because she used WAY too many products on my hair. I have very healthy shiny thick hair and do not need any product which I told her in the first place. The stylist I go to (Hair on 5th Ave) was off yesterday. She only takes maybe 40 min to wash, cut, blow-dry AND beach wave it...it took this girl 90 min!! I walked in about 15 minutes after they opened up again on Friday, 8 May. Looked like 3 stylists hanging out. Not one customer, that I could see. Asked what I wanted, I replied haircut. Told me I needed an appointment. Again, place is empty! I said I was just a walk in. Told me next week someone. I was a regular. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AGAIN. Never. And if the place goes under, remember how you treat your customers who tried to support you. There are some people who are gifted at what they do. Anthony is that gifted person at Fantastic Sams Scottsdale. I asked for something different in August 2020 and he gave me a tapered cut and easy to blow dry style which I can recreate at home. I usually dread the time between cut and blow dry as I usually wear my hair straight. But since Anthony gave me this cut I can blow dry a curl in it and feel so great between cuts too! Anthony works his magic at the bowl with a massage during the shampoo, is a very interesting conversationalist, and clearly knows how to cut hair. A rare find indeed. read more
