When I reached the counter, I caught a better glimpse of myself (the chair I was in was so low to the ground I could only see what was above my chin,) and had to ask her to do the curls again and add a LOT of hairspray, because it was not going to hold by the time I reached my event and it was blisteringly hot and humid outside. I was right. Even with the hair spray and the second time around curls, by the time I reached the event I looked like a hot mess and just ended up tying up my hair up. She was shampooing a woman's hair and had another in the chair waiting to be blow dryed out.
