My appointment was marked as a "no-show" because they said it was scheduled 45 minutes earlier than when I arrived. However, I showed the receptionist my confirmation email that clearly listed my appointment time as the time I arrived. She said she didn't know why I received that, but they could take me as a walk-in -- only if I paid full price, meaning my deposit wouldn't count. It's frustrating because if the stylist was available to take me, and I had proof of the appointment time I was given, it feels unfair to lose my deposit over what was clearly a mix-up. I've waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time here before without ever complaining because I understand things happen. But apparently, that same courtesy doesn't go both ways. After years of loyalty and even referring family, I will not be returning.

I…read moreasked for a simple cut with a straight length, and a little layering at the ends, hoping to shorten the time I was inside. I chose this salon because I figured fewer people inside would be safer than a larger salon. While washing my hair, the stylist had me remove my mask from around my ears. I did it, but I was very uncomfortable. I did insist it go behind my ears the minute she was done rinsing, and explained that I had more than one mask if it was too wet. The cut itself, regardless of how simple it was, was really bad. A straight length (Although, I did have 4 inches removed) came out uneven. There were a few small chunks of hair that were 2 inches longer than the rest. There was no layering. These were things I didn't notice until I was home. I was in such a hurry to leave, that I didn't check thoroughly enough. I still would have given her the 50% tip that I did, however. Anyone working during the pandemic deserves it. Because of Covid, I'm not willing to go back there and have it fixed. I had my daughter cut the long strands, and I'll live with the puffy ends (due to no layering) for a few months. In the future, I'll stick to the Aveda Institute in Chapel Hill.

It's kind of odd to be the only customer with the only stylist in the whole place. Luckily, they were efficient and cut my hair without having to take phone calls or attend to other matters. Sometimes the person cutting your hair will make small talk but this one was just deadly quiet, despite my few attempts to be friendly. I think I had a coupon from a mailer, that's why I was there. I might give them another go but if it's the same experience, I wouldn't be inclined to go back.

She did not put any hair spray in my hair! (i have straight hair, obviously I would need hair spray to hold the blowout) it went flat when I went outside for 5 minutes. She also did my hair part terrible I had a bump in the back of my head from her not doing my part correctly, literally have never had a stylist mess that up before. Cost me $80 for the worst blowout Ive ever had. They offered for me to come back and fix it which I appreciated, but it was my wedding rehearsal day I didnt have time to come back. $100 total with tip, down the drain and the extra stress on my wedding wknd just really sucked.
