I'm going to say that I've come to this Great Clips since it opened. It's been going downhill for sure. They have unofficially changed their hours although the door still says their normal times that they've had since opening the store. The app lets you check in online and then you drive to the store and little waiting...except when it lets you check in and then they close and you drive over for nothing. Between the revolving door of stylists that you never know if you're getting a decent cut or in my case a bad one last time. Then the varying ever changing hours of operations and last year's big price jump. You can pretty much go anywhere and get this type of treatment. Unfortunately, I can't think of any reasons to come here instead of somewhere else. I'm done with them after 25+ years going to Great Clips. read more

Janet, of argyle forest east shopping center, was my stylist. She did a meticulous job of cutting my hair and trimming my beard. She made sure i was satisfied with the haircut. She trimmed my beard to blend in with my haircut. She is very conscientious. Today, she suggested to cut the top shorter than usual. I was skeptical, but haircut looks great. I could not get a better haircut in a shop which charges 35.00. I enthusiasticly recommend Janet. read more

I have no complain about customer service. However the actual service, meaning haircuts is not their strongest skill. First my daughters haircut was terrible and I asked the stylist to re do it. And please look at these bangs terrible. I didn't ask her to fix it because I didn't want her to cut any shorter. I don't recommend this place for girls haircuts. read more

Great Clips is a great place for hair cuts & styling. Their online check-in system is a first in the industry & an awesome tool. You can see how long the wait is & check in prior to going to the shop. They also take notes on your cut so any stylist that serves you can view them & know your preferences. Cutting & styling hair is what they do & they do it well. No coloring & many don't do perms. The cost is very reasonable also! I've been here several times over the past 6 months or so & find the service to be excellent every time & the shop is always clean & well maintained. It's in the a great location in River City Marketplace: Point Place which is an outparcel to be exact. Great Clips! It's going to be a great cut or style! I don't give out 5 ratings liberally but this place is tops in the hair cut & care industry. read more

I recently moved to Jacksonville and needed my hair cut. I had used the same woman for the past 12 years and like moving, I had to find a new person to cut my hair. I was hesitant to go to Great Clips because I always went to a "salon" thinking they would do a pro job. I also paid high $$$$$ to do this!!! I decided to take a chance and go and glad I did! Dennis was awesome! He has cut hair for 20+ years and I just felt comfortable with him...sort of like old school hair cutting! He worked slowly with me and patient as a saint with me. When I left I paid 15.00 for my cut and walked out with a new do!! He will be my husbands go to man now too! Thanks Dennis! You are a gentle giant with lots of patience!!! read more

Absolutely disgusted with the haircut I received today, I wanted an undercut but left with half my hair gone and it's so crooked. When calling to voice the concern I have for my hair, I was told that I'm just going to have to grow it out, she didn't even offer to fix it. Not that I expected much from a great clips, but I only went in for a small trim so figured they couldn't mess it up. I asked for a blunt cut and to just take the ends off. She was done in 10 minutes flat and half ass showed my the back before sending me on my way. My fault for not checking, but once I got home my boyfriend quickly pointed out how the left side of my head was cut significantly shorter than the right and the front was all uneven too. I had to go to a different salon the next day to get it fixed and they ended up having to take another half inch off overall. Super disappointed considering she knew I was trying to grow it out. Great Clips sent me a $6.99 haircut coupon, which I gave to me mom to use. This location wouldn't accept it, saying it was for another state. It was mailed to my address just a few miles away. I tried working it out with the store, but they wanted me to make a special trip so they could see the coupon (they already saw it when they sent my poor mom away). I also tried reaching out to the owner, but we could only play voicemail tag. I never received the refund I requested. read more

I came here because I desperately needed a hair cut and it is very close to my house. My cut turned out good and the stylist even blow dried my hair. Nothing too special about the location. Make sure you check out online check-in so you don't have to wait too long. My wait time was approximately 20 minutes. There were only two stylists there when I was there. However, the line was starting to get long after I left. I will probably stop back in, if I am in a rush. read more
