Nice, clean and quiet! Lee wasn't afraid to get down in the roots as she shampooed, conditioned and combed through a LOT of hair. I went for the silk press...bone-straight and when she finished, I had to wink at myself! I walked in looking like a hobo and left ready for Ebony Magazine! read more

Made an appointment ahead of time and showed up to my appointment with my hairdresser running late. I was taken in by a different stylist and she was fantastic. Cindy was great. My hair results were impressive and I plan to make future appointments with Cindy. Ps. Initial stylist showed up over an hour after my intended appointment. read more

Nicholas and Addison are the absolute best!!! Nicholas made myself and my daughter's hair beautiful!! Addison took the extra care and time to add tinsel to my daughter's hair. I ask them to cut the sides but they said after they cut my hair that they cut the top a little bit and they charge 30 bucks for the sides I ask for and they tried to do my hairline but they made it straight then it was wobble 0/10 I won't come again read more

Been here a lot-this last experience will be the last. Stood behind a lady for 10 minutes to listen to the 2 employees discussing her hair coloring at the counter. When the employee stated "we'll be with you shortly sir" I was then told the one lady will cut my hair after her break, I was wondering why because there were 4 hairstylists with only 3 people in the business. So I waited another 20 minutes so she could smoke a cigarette and then talk to the other 3 employees when she got back. I'm still scratching my head-30 minutes and no service?!? Put family of 4 got haircuts today before. Big trip. My usual shaving the sides and top, then my wife got a trim, my son got cleaned up, and my daughter got bangs trimmed and dead ends trimmed on her hair. Very disappointed! Stylist (Ganella) charged $15 above the cost of a cut and flat iron...$45 total. A hair cut is $18 and she initially quoted me a flat iron (style)@ $12.00. She said she blow dryed it (the hair that fell after she cut). So she basically added $15 for blow drying cut hair from my clothes Haha! What a joke. First and last time ever going there. read more

There have been very few times in my life where I have felt like a true inconvenience and tonight was definitely one of them! Kim and Sarah, at this store, were horribly rude and disrespectful. I have never felt more humiliated in all my life. My family of 4, myself included, walked into this Hair Cuttery needing two basic cuts...a trim and a businesses cut. I should have known something was up when there was no one in the store front. After standing at the register for almost a full minute, Kim and Sarah slowly walked up from the back. I said that we needed 2 cuts. After both of them huffed and sighed they asked if it was a straight cut, because both of then had already packed up, but it was up to the other if they wanted to take us. Both said it didn't matter to them that it was up to the other. Seriously!?!?!? The store sign says they closed at 9:00 and it was only 7:45....so I am standing there trying to figure our why I am an obvious inconvenience. They said that they were closing at 8. News to me as their sign and website both say 9. My husband walks in from parking the car in the pouring down rain and I tell him that they only have time for his business cut. I was trying to be polite and not cause a scene because if my husband knew the whole story he would be very upset. So he says forget it and we walk out. My family and I have used that Hair Cuttery for 12 years and because we were treated so badly we will never go back there again. I would rather drive to St. John Town Center and pay twice as much at Paul Mitchel than to spend another dime at this Duval Station Hair Cuttery! read more

I have lived in Jacksonville for 5 years and have gone to several Hair Cuttery locations. I'm not really that picky (I am truly not...) but for some reason, have the most difficult time finding someone cutting my hair the way that I ask. Out of basic necessity, I repeat the cycle.... get a hair cut, leave unsatisfied, tell myself, "It's okay...your hair will grow back in two weeks." Can anyone else relate to my dilemma? I do realize that hair stylists are human beings with different skill levels who are there to make a living, so I simply leave without complaining and never go back to the same stylist. All this has changed since Kim Lee has cut my hair. Over the past 10 years, she has been the only stylist that I will request and wait for. She is personable, listens to one's needs, and performs with efficiency and precision. Kim Lee, I have paid as much as $35 for cuts at upscale salons, and have not been as satisfied as with the cuts that you've provided. I would give a TEN STAR review if possible, not for Hair Cuttery, but for Kim Lee. By the way, this is my first Yelp review. I'm often too busy, but was compelled to do so in appreciation the best haircut I've received in my life. If you're looking a haircut that's stress free, ask for KIM LEE !
