Look like crap. No communication. Screwed it up. I have an under cut that I am growing out in some places because I messed it up myself. I already had someone clean up the line, had three weeks growth, needed it trimmed. It got cut with no guard along the messed up line I said I was growing out. None left long to make a straight line. CASEY~! I just needed a trim after more than a year of just letting it grow. I didn't want to go to a salon just to pay bucks for just a trim. I was weary about going to a chain place but my friend recommended to try. After search and researching I was so nervous, some said their trim was a nightmare. Casey was warm and welcoming from the time I walked in. She seemed very genuine and honest and it calmed me down. She listened to what I wanted and explained what and how much she was planning to trim. She even gave me a recommendation which I accepted and my hair looks & feels great! Thank you Melanie! After an unsatisfactory haircut elsewhere, I decided to give this salon a try. Fortunately, Melanie was available and attentive to my preferences, (she listens to what I wanted) resulting in a great outcome for my hair. However, I noticed a lack of functional styling tools in the facility, with both the curling and flat irons being broken, the curling irons spring was broke and there was so much residual hairspray it was visibly sticky icky.....the flat iron wouldn't even turn on. Unfortunately, no one on staff at the time appeared willing to assist Melanie with the faulty equipment. Stating they have been asking for a new one for two years.... Despite the challenges, Melanie did her best with the broken curling iron, which did cause some discomfort by pulling my hair several times but this was no fault of hers. A cut and style with broken equipment was $75.00. I would go back to Melanie no question but maybe get the appropriate equipment. read more

I (female) asked for a straight cut and frame my face. I got home and my right side was 2in shorter than my left side. There were points where the frame started and ended. The underside of my hair was longer which made it look like a layer was made and it too was uneven. The stylist completely missed cutting at section, it was the original length I came in with and on the right side, the shorter side. I went to the Gateway location to get it fixed which they did free of charge. Glad for the redo but I only wanted 3in off, instead had at least 5in taken off due to the major mess-up. I checked in and I drove 15 miles tonight (this is the closest location to where I live) and the lady is like "I'm only accepting cash right now,..." What? I wasn't able to get a hair cut. I just wasted gas and an hour of mybtime for nothing! This is absolutely ridiculous! I've been to this location twice before. I'll make sure to never come back. Very disappointing! read more

The manager truly cares about customer satisfaction, their business, and earning your trust. I have difficult hair to navigate and style but received a fabulous cut! When you walk in the stylists make you feel welcomed and listen to how you'd like your hair to be styled. I would reccomend if you're looking for a reliable haircut to stop by this salon. read more

Went in with my husband to get his haircut. The lady wasn't able to find him in the system so she seemed to get a little irritated. Waited about 15 minutes before he finally got to sit in a chair. Lady did a pretty good job and my husband looks pretty good. My only complaint would be the way she shaped the back of his head. Didn't ask us how it was preferred or what shape. She just cut it all rounded on the edges. Overall, we would come back here if we needed to. read more

Not a fan. I came here for a while in college out of necessity and won't ever go back. I got one great haircut from here that I loved and when I asked for the same woman/cut again, I got laughed at (still not sure why). The last time I went I asked them to thin my hair out just a little (I have extremely thick hair) and she gave me so many layers that I had another stylist refer to it as a "she-mullet". It's taken me more than a year to grow my hair out enough to fix the mess that woman made. Overall, it's fine if you're in a pinch, but I wouldn't suggest going there long term. read more

I received a note from a gentleman named J D that called me a liar. Now the situation with the young boy, I saw a young appeared to be Indian boy with what appeared to be an Indian man who was sitting right by the young boy, the hairstylist yelled at least twice about the boy. The 2nd thing is the lady was very rude to me, I stick by what I wrote in my original review. I attempted a DIY pixie haircut on myself and sorta botched it. I was reluctant to go have it professionally done because I thought they're not gonna do a good enough job. I'm so happy I decided to go to this Great Clips. Walter did an amazing job. I showed him a couple of pics and he immediately understood what I wanted and needed, and was able to execute it. Worst haircut I've ever recieved. The woman who cut my hair rushed through it and did not give me the cut i requested. When i pointed this out to her, she said "i thought you felt me cutting that." My daughter, haircut, while better was choppy and not properly blended. Both hairstyles had to be fixed at another salon. read more
