4/18/26 Late post: I was visiting Vegas and stopped by the old location we used to frequent often. I went in just wanting a trim and hoped the stylist could simply copy my last cut without overthinking it. As the cape settled around my neck and little pieces of hair brushed my cheeks and fell onto my shoulders, she suggested a sleek, straight bob with crisp, even ends instead of my old asymmetrical bob. Wasn't able to take an after photo as my daughters hair was in pigtails and didn't have time as the stylist was getting her ready. Amy was my daughters hairstylist and she was very kid friendly. She had asked if this was her first time and even made her feel comfortable. Amy asked how I wanted her hair as you can see in the photo she doesn't have much hair and very thin. I asked for a trim just to get rid of those split ends. Overall, super quick after a few snips. And offered my daughter a lollipop. Super great personality. Reason behind the 4star rating is just because of my past experience when I had my hair cut not to long ago and I had asked for a 3-4in trim and styled which my stylist just did a straight cut and done. Other than that, I do have my parents and family come here and I came back because there are other stylist and you always need to give it another try. Which came out perf. My family had a bad experience with a worker at this location on the evening of 7/22/24. Their baby had an accident in the store and the associate very rudely handed the husband napkins and said, "it's not my job to clean up shit". He apologized and cleaned it up off the floor and left. This was very embarrassing for them and that person just made things worse. That family was visiting the area looking at model homes and they just got a real bad impression of the locals in the area. I got my hair cut on 9/2/24 by Georgina, everything looked fine when I left as the hair was all brushed back together. later that evening I looked in the mirror and saw a big flop of hair on the right that was shorter than the left side. This morning I called, I was upset and said I don't know what to do.I am not a soft spoken person to begin with and my voice tends to get a louder when I'm upset. The guy on the phone said come and get it fixed I said it can't be fixed, louder than he liked I guess. . He yelled" I didn't cut your hair" , I said "I never said you did", then he said to stop yelling,he was also yelling at me "I didn't cut your hair". I told him I'm not yelling at you I'm upset with the situation and don't know what to do. He told me to "treat him with respect as a human being", I said he should "treat me with respect as a customer". I said I'm coming down there, I thought they needed to see what I was talking about When I got there he was very defensive and combative as soon as I walked in the door, again said "I didn't cut your hair" , I told him" I never said you did", I asked for the manager, he said "she's not here", when will she be here, "she's sick", what's her name ? he wouldn't tell me, again I said he needed to treat me with respect as a customer. I showed him the flop of hair and he screamed at me and told me " LEAVE, LEAVE, LEAVE", I said i'm not leaving till you tell me her name, he told me Tessa. I asked for his name , he wouldn't tell me, I said ok Ill just tell her the guy with the ugly earrings, (big round gauged earrings). He just kept screaming LEAVE at me. I called him a freak , not good but by this time I was furious. I will keep calling back till I reach Tessa as I feel I deserve a refund for a lopsided haircut and the inappropriate behavior of the staff member. I have had my hair cut there several times and never had a problem, I especially like Santana but this will be the last time I go there if this is the way they treat their customers. I been coming here for awhile for the convenience knowing the haircuts are going to be a hit or miss. But holy shit... my fkn hair literally had a bald spot from an employee I never seen before. My hair is so uneven and butchered.... I trust the person cutting my hair not to do a job like a middle schooler but this is it. It was simple... please cut the sides short, leave the top and thin out top. I was in and out in less than 10. It was my fault for not checking my hair when it was done. It wasnt until i got home and rinsed my hair to notice a fkn bald spot... just how. My rant is over. If the normal employees arent there and the wait time is 0 for awhile. Just go another time. Even on slow days, 5 min wait is normal. Word of advice to barbers, stop talking and asking questions and focus on cutting hair. read more

Been coming here for a haircut quite a few times now since it's near our place. Hit or miss type of haircut here. Really depends on who will be cutting your hair. Should've asked the lady's name who gave me a haircut the last time coz she's really good. But when I got my haircut yesterday I didn't see her so someone else cut my hair instead. And I now ended up with a very short hair that looked like it was chopped off by a kid left side shorter than the right side. My eyesight is not really good and I had to remove my eyeglasses during the haircut so I couldn't really see what she was doing with my hair. Even if I did see it, there's nothing that I could've done to correct her if she already chopped it off to a very short length. So I will not be coming back here ever again. read more

2022 update. Still happy my hair stylist Elaine, my hair has grown so much because it's actually been healthy. I went back for another cut and definitely pleased! 2021 I have not allowed anyone to cut my hair in more than a year. If I get a bad vibe when I walk through the door I leave. I came into this location as a walk-in and had really great luck with Elaine, shes so friendly and pleasant. I asked to have about 4 inches taken off and add layers. I really love how she cut my hair, I went home and was able to accomplish hairstyles I had not been able to for a very long time. I have visited this location only three times, as I live nearby. The last two times I went for a haircut (#2 trimmer on the razor/ all around) became too complicated for two of these employees (Anna & Jennifer). The haircut came with an attitude that is reflected on the final result. When I arrived home and looked in the mirror, I noticed one side longer than the other. I can not understand how this could happen with a #2 trimmer fixed on a razor. I have my own razor at home and fixed the areas myself. It is unlikely that I will ever visit this store again; and, most likely visit another store a little further from my home for satisfaction. I can do without the attitude and drama. I just needed a simple straight forward haircut to even the hair out and clean up the fuzz. I will not believe that anything could be simple enough for any of them. If I could give zero stars, I would. I usually have great experiences at Great Clips, but my sister's experience was certainly not. . She had received a "a low layer cut" from a white lady with a lot of piercings, who promptly charged her $16 for only 5 minutes of work. What she did was simply take 2 inches off the outermost layer. When I inquired why the haircut was so quick, my sister had no chance to look at back of her head for opinions. I then asked the lady to recut it and she pointed to the small amount of trimmings on the ground and said that "it was what she asked for." However, I essentially get just a military style "buzz cut," so since it's such an easy cut, Great Clips normally does a great job. However, this one visit proved to be otherwise. The lady missed numerous spots on my head. At one point, I overheard a conversation amongst two hairdressers about a client that had just left. The lady said, "she (client) didn't like the way I cut it, but I did, so 'oh well.'" It doesn't seem like they care that much what the customer wants at this location. read more

Had the worst haircut of my life here. I had a lady this time with short blonde hair, said she's been doing hair for over a decade. She was a heavy set woman with blonde hair with red patches. I asked her a couple questions about different hairstyles and wanted to try out an undercut. An undercut after doing some researched is a blended fade on the sides and long hair on top. She absolutely butchered it, and did the fade extremely high, almost bald on the sides with long hair on top. I was so horrified and embarrassed I just requested her to cut off most of my hair and I'll just grow it back and style it short. She went on to blame me for my choice of cut however an undercut doesn't look like at ALL what she gave me. She didn't even clean up the back of my head, I had to shave it myself at home. I will never step foot in another Great Clips again. There are some great stylists there such as Elaine (wonderful Vietnamese lady) however I'm choosing to vote with my wallet on this one I don't understand how someone with over a decade of "experience" can mess up so badly. I think I've finally realized why whenever I come to a Great Clips, I rarely see another woman getting her hair cut as well. I know it can be a hit or a miss at this chain, but my luck was better when I lived in Summerlin and went to the Charleston location. It's a good thing I can rock a shorter, Monica Lewinsky-ish do, but I asked for just two inches to be cut off I don't have before and after pictures, but it seems like my stylist went to town and chopped off too much. I used to come here years ago and stopped coming because of a few too many bad cuts. I was here last month because my sister was with me and she was looking for something affordable. We came here. I was apprehensive but gave them a try. I was pleasantly surprised. I have two boys and they got exactly what I wanted. The hairdressers listened to me and that makes all the difference in the world. The best part is I saved some money. Yay!! $11 for a haircut is awesome! Add a tip and still it was half than what I normally spend elsewhere. I will be back here more often.
