As a minor, it's hard for me to voice my wants about my hair when my mom stands nearby as she exclaims that I shouldn't get what I want. She helped me get exactly what I wanted despite of my mom. I realize that this sounds silly and maybe immature to some adults, but she saw how sad my voice got when my mom said "No more!" I wanted my hair short, and it's a little past my shoulders exactly how I wanted with layers. A modified jelly cut. Very nice. Very bueno. Excellent service. She went to do the last finishing touch I truly wanted (a layer at the front that I love). It was very comfortable. Poor service. This old blonde lady with short Karen hair and glasses was so rude to me when I was so kind to her and she immediately made me feel uncomfortable she kept ignoring the picture I was trying to show her of the haircut I wanted then rudely told me to look at the back of my hair with a hand mirror and when I couldn't because of the angle she got frustrated at me because I had to adjust it then she realized she had adjusted me poorly and did not angle me properly to see my hair properly then rudely asked me to stand up at that point I felt so uncomfortable my skin was crawling. So I trusted my instinct and I told her how uncomfortable I was and left. I definitely was not going to pay to be treated like dirt and let her touch me. She pretended like she was innocent and nothing happened and I walked out. Her coworker asked her what happened as I was leaving. My husband and I go to Great clips because they're local and we continuously have bad haircuts me myself went in and my regular girl she was not there which does a pretty good job hand it to her but the last girl that did my hair she was more occupied about telling me her whole life story and getting distracted she didn't do once again what I asked her to do with my hair it's very simple it's layered she cut off more of the right side than the left side an inch per se on the right and a third per se on the left and I say we've been pretty fair we support local businesses and we have left numerous tips but me myself once our card is used up we will no longer be going to Great clips I am tired of hafting to pay so much money to find out the next day that it's a bad haircut again now I realize why the star average is low too many people are going there getting bad service read more

This is the worst I wanted to get layers and they made my hair hair a mess they were teaching the girl how to do the hair while doing my hair and they made it looked like a 7 year old cut my hair. My hair was so long and I told them how much to cut my hair but they made it so much shorter than it was supposed to be. Went in to simply get a Gift card. It wasn't busy at all but once someone came in to get a haircut they all knew, it was chaos. It was super load and the person ringing me up asked me 3 times for number as she could not hear over the loud commotion. All the people there should know how to ring up a GC. Thankfully one person did and I was able to make the purchase. This is our second trip. The first round should have been followed by I think 2 more by this point. Better late than never. They sent reminder cards with a coupon dropping the cut to $7.99. Plus tip, don't forget to tip. I won't complain about a discount. The staff is great with my son who is 7. They do a good job and don't dilly dally which is nice. No one trying to push metro hair products or other annoyances. I'm more of a barber shop guy myself, but this Salon has made a repeat customer out of me. Would you take a 33% tip from a customer instead of the 20% they told you to take? Would you lose a customer over .80? I wouldn't either. But apparently, at least one hairdresser at this salon figures it's much more important to take .80 more from a customer than retain their business. I took my daughter here to get her bangs cut. As with most hair places, the cost to get bangs cut on a child is $6. She was good and relatively quick, quite nice too. When it came time to checkout, I told her to take 20% additional as a tip. She said "I can't figure out how much that is, so I'll just take $2.00." She didn't ASK, she just TOOK the additional .80. I won't go back here to this hairdresser at all. I won't go to this hair place again unless I absolutely have to and than it will certainly be with another hairdresser who doesn't TAKE more than they are OFFERED. read more

Yowzer!! What a completely awful hair cut. I told the lady I was having an interview soon and need to look my best. After quickly giving me a number 5 fade she slathered gel on the top of my head, clipped a little more and sent me on my way. I couldn't really see what she had done as my hair had been slicked back. I now consider that a deception in hindsight. When I got home and washed my hair I could clearly see how bad the fade was, not smooth at all and the back near the neck is crooked. I tried styling it differently but I just cannot cover up the hard uneven fade lines she left. I felt so embarrassed by the haircut that I just now buzzed my head with a number 5. What a waste of money. I'm not sure about the other "stylists" there, but if you get the short lady that makes you sit like a lowrider....RUN!!! read more

I was not impressed with the service I received here when I came in for a haircut on 04/20/2018. The short female with long black wavy hair was rude. She was unfriendly, unhelpful, refused to answer my questions in a promptly manner so I had to repeat myself. She volunteered that she has been licensed for 13 years as a cosmetologist, but she only works when she needs to. It shows in how she cuts hair that she lacks fundamental skills in layering hair. She did not come across in anyway that she had a clue. All she did was cut and cut. No style. Nothing. I could have done better putting a bowl on my head and cuttinv myself. I paid with debt and I refused to leave a tip. I even slashed a pen mark to zero out no tip added. There are professional stylists/cutters. This place is not it. I am from Lincoln, CA. read more

Ok so i am 14 and i went in in the morning it was pack and that did not bother me ,so me and my mom waited for roughly 20 minutes. So the lady called me up and she asked me what i wanted and i told her fohawk and taper but please don't touch the sideburn and i asked her you know what a taper is right and she gave me a weird face and i told her you know what a taper fade is and she said ya and i was like she better not skew this up she said ok half way through the hair cut she has been doing good until she cut of the sides and i told her not to but she said you never told me and i was like wtf also the most infuriating thing was that she did not do the sides even omfg that piss me off so much read more

I have never had a problem at this place with long wait times. Lisa is popular with lots of people waiting for her. I really loved the way she cut my hair but she was on vacation and I tried BeeBee instead and she was great. I liked the way she listened to what I asked for. She showed me twice what a half inch looked like to make sure that's what I wanted. I was very happy with the cut I got. It takes getting home, washing it, putting the products on it and blowing dry to see what you have and I loved the look. I think these ladies do well to put up with the steady stream of customers, on their feet for 6 or more hours, do cut after cut, and for not much money. I hope you disgruntled demanding people who expect so much for your cheap cut give a decent tip. read more

Today l went in with my husband to get his mother's hair cut. When we walked in there were only two people cutting hair with several people already sitting in the lobby with online check ins ahead of us. When we walked in we were not greeted at all the woman started speaking loudly asking if we checked in online. My husband said no, and she immediately said give me your number. She found my mother-in-law in the system, and signed her in. She told my husband it will be 45 minutes, so he left to do some shopping at CVS while l waited with her. My mother-in-law asked her a question about her appointment, and now the woman said you are going to be waiting an hour very rudely. A minute ago it was 45 minutes, and as people walked in they got the same treatment. It was almost like she was purposely trying to turn people away. She stated to one gentleman that he needed to come back in 3 hrs when more people show up, because there was only two of them. I had enough and called my hair dresser whom told me to bring her in immediately, so l left without acknowledging the woman to cancel. My husband has had bad hair cuts from there where l was to the point of sending him back for them to fix it or get a refund. There will be no more chances for this location. The woman today that represents your company at first hand is off putting. read more

I got the worst haircut there on 12/28/18 EVER! I've been there 3 times same stylist. First time great cut, 2nd not as good. Last week, picture in hand, she just scalped me, I mean no hair left at all. And it's uneven! This is like wearing a dress you hate everyday for weeks! Last visit I had an old woman cut my hair, she had just come in from having a smoke and she stunk like a cigarette and my hair stunk after she finished w/ it. When I got home my wife asked me if I had been smoking! Best thing about this used to be the hours, since you could get in and out after 7:00 pm, but that is not worth going back. This is by far the worst hair salon I've ever been to. The first time I decided to give it a shot was simply due to convenience in proximity. When I walked in, it took several minutes to be acknowledged and 15 minutes to be taken care of. The service I received at the first encounter was terrible. The lady did not smile once. I informed her what I would like done to my hair and she sighed in disgust. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they were only polite to regular or returning customers so I came back a couple weeks later. I was greeted in a more timely manner this time but received the same attitude from the stylist. Third time is supposed to be a charm, so I came back one last time and was given the worst service I've ever received at any establishment. I gave the alleged stylist precise directions of what I wanted done to my hair and she completely deviated from the plan, instead doing what she wanted to without even asking me to cut something. I hate to think one would have to sacrifice quality for convenience but it seems to be the case here. I am never coming back to this place, and highly unlikely that I ever return to a Less Than Great Clips ever. I will be posting on several media outlets to spread the facts about the sheer incompetence and rude people they have that call themselves professionals.
