Two years after a traumatic experience attempting a gray blend in the Bay Area, I booked an appointment with Tanya (or Tetyana) to fix the mess that was made. Long story short, the guy in the Bay highlighted my entire head in bleach, burned off pieces of my hair underneath (I have thick hair thank god), and after growing it out for so long, my hair was super uneven, thin at the bottom, and the bleach parts refused to ever curl. My hair looked crazy unless I styled it-- the new growth being curly and the old hair lying pin straight. I couldn't take it anymore. I found all the lovely reviews on Tanya and decided to give it a shot since I just moved to the Roseville area. Let me tell you, she did a FANTASTIC job! I haven't had short-ish hair for many, many years and was terrified to cut it. She took my face shape and structure into account and landed on a cut that would complement me, which it clearly does since everyone compliments my hair now and tells me how cute it looks. I requested a stylist that was great with blonde hair highlights and bobs. I was paired with someone that had to ask the owner twice what color to put in my hair. I was too afraid to have my hair cut the way I had envisioned, so I settled for trimming my ends. 4+ hrs (which normally my hair takes less than an hour) and $335 later, I said I needed to leave. So, this is my 2nd time here with Tatiana. My style, cut, and color last time was absolutely perfect. Tatiana knows how to listen to customer's comments, suggestions, and requests. I wouldn't go to a place for the 2nd time unless I felt it was quality, worth the money, and a pleasurable experience. I'm sitting in the chair now, waiting for my color to set in while going through the reviews, and I read a review by someone named Libby, and it was an awful review. I don't know that person personally, but I do know, as a professional photographer, she posted a bunch of photos that had very poor lighting, and do not exhibit the true nature of her daughter's color experience. It appears to me that she is just a disgruntled customer looking for a discount or something else. That happens a lot and it's disgusting. She said she is a cosmetologist, so she should know better than to get upset over things that happen naturally. I've been getting my hair cut and colored for many years and there is always a little bleed over onto the skin, because you can't tape it perfectly like a painter does with a wall. I'm a professional photographer, not a hairstylist, but I do know that after I leave, and I've been doing this for many years, I always make sure that the next shower I take to that I also have a nice washcloth with some soap or some hydrogen peroxide and rub my skin where there may have been some color that overlapped under the skin. That's the way it is and this person, Libby, should know better, since she said she is a cosmetologist. It's not a perfect science. There's always going to be some bleed over onto the skin. Unfortunately, I can't remove her review from Yelp, but I do know that people need to understand that that review was total, and I don't want to use the word that I want to use, but it was total garbage. The stylist, Charlene, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and assuring that my daughter would get exactly the style she wanted based on her Pinterest board. I'm happy to report that my daughter was absolutely giddy and couldn't be more happy with her cut. The staff were friendly and greeted us without delay. I contacted the salon via help to inquire about pricing/availability to fix choppy bangs I received on Tuesday evening. I didn't want to go back to have the original stylist fix bc it was a random salon found while visiting my sister a few hours away. I thought I could live with them until they grew out but each day they were looking worse.. Level Posh responded so fast and were able to get me in this morning. When I arrived they weren't very warm (maybe my appt was too early in the morning) but I was paired with Brianna who listened very attentively and even took the time to show me how to properly style my curtain bangs! She did an amazing job with blending them and getting them to look exactly like the bangs I've envisioned/inspired by on Pinterest boards of perfect hair. She def understands all types of hair. I'd go back to see Brianna for her hair cutting skills and guidance. I do agree with the other reviews that it feels like there's tension in there and I wasn't sure how to feel about it. Maybe they're a more mellow salon than I'm used to and are more interactive and bubbly with their clients who are regulars. read more

One of the worst salon experiences I've had--and not just because of the haircut (which wasn't great either). I reached out through Yelp for a last-minute appointment, and the salon was very responsive and got me in quickly. I asked for a simple haircut with layers--nothing complicated. I'm not sure if my stylist was a trainee (I wasn't told if she was, and I paid full price), but she wasn't able to cut my hair evenly, and another stylist had to step in and correct it. Unfortunately, that wasn't the worst part. After I'd been sitting there for about an hour and a half, another woman came in and started speaking very loudly. At first I ignored it, but she quickly began making hateful, vile comments that were impossible to tune out. I'm not someone who is easily offended, and I believe people are entitled to their own opinions, but what she was saying crossed the line into openly hateful speech. It made me feel genuinely uncomfortable and unsafe. What was especially disappointing was that no one at the salon stepped in or asked her to stop. As soon as the senior stylist finished fixing my haircut, I left. Overall, it was an extremely upsetting experience, and I won't be returning. read more

I have NEVER left a bad review before, especially for a hair professional but I am absolutely appalled at what happened to my daughters hair today... and I am a 20+ year Cosmetologist! To give background for this appointment; We are temporarily in the area while our home is being remodeled and in my rental it is too risky to do color (white quartz surfaces everywhere), it is also against DCA regulations. So I actually hoped onto Yelp to get recommendations for my daughters color. I DID NOT send a message to this salon, they messaged ME. I will include photos. In my initial inquiry I actually detailed exactly what formula I had used before, length, stats, everything. Mind you this color was being done for a special occasion/graduation festival, HUGE TRIP. Fast forward we did a consultation, and met with Sharon. I showed Sharon photos of Caitlins hair prior with the formula I had used, and gave her exact colors. Sharon seemed confident she could do it, and we agreed on a price NOT TO EXCEED $300-350. Keep in mind this is simply single process bleach (virgin hair meaning full outgrowth no chemicals) and then deposit only vivid blue. These are not expensive nor complex products if done properly. Fast forward 2 weeks and Caitlin is in the chair. Sharon used so much product, she had overlap and bleach on the floor... yet didn't either time or mix it properly for the client because low and behold... orange and brown. Next, discolored yellow, even after the SECOND bleaching! Then she says to ME "you may want to do it again".... THEN after taking way to long to bleach I left, came back to find the blue going in FINALLY. Again product being slopped on and wasted all over the place. However not my salon not my mess right? WRONG. After 4 hours I had to leave to get my other kids from school so I asked if I could pay in advance and let them know Caitlins Dad would be picking her up. I scanned the QR at the station, left $50 in Zelle tip, I get to the register and it's charged at $400!!! Why?! FOR EXTRA PRODUCT I am told and extra time! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I know how much its costs, I am licensed. Then my daughter gets home, COVERED IN BLUE and with hot roots and uneven hair!!! Now she is totally devastated and I have to redye it ANYWAY!! Really didn't want to give this place an underwhelming review but I feel its necessary. I went in for a hair extension removal and reinstall. I had a consultation a week prior and was told $120 per row for move up and then a prorated hourly fee for a few k-tips around my hairline. The price was $95 for an hour of k tips which ensured me would take maybe 20 minutes and that $95 would be pro-rated. After doing the math, and buying the k tips ($140) I knew my appointment would be around $290 and was told to block off 3 hours "but it shouldn't take that long" is what was mentioned. Fast forward to the day of my appointment... it took a total of 4.5 hours and the front desk tried to charge me for services I didn't have. When I questioned it the owner clearly made up some nonsense that it was just added into system as a haircut, but really I was charged for a blowout because they washed and blow dried my hair after taking out the extensions. Well that is very clearly part of the process and after speaking with a few stylists, they all have assured me that they NEVER charge for washing a clients hair because that cost is added into the process of replacing the extensions. I noticed after that the stylist that did my extensions was visibly upset at the owner and even gave me a look like "I'm sorry". She knew I was being ripped off but couldn't speak up or she would probably lose her job. Regardless, I'll never go back and I genuinely don't care what excuse this owner gives in her reply, we all knew I was overcharged, but after 4.5 hours I didn't have the energy to argue over $55 dollars. read more

This is a little late but I booked a last-minute haircut appointment the Friday of Mother's Day weekend during my first kid-free day in a long time. I almost talked myself out of going because I felt guilty for taking time for myself, but decided to treat myself anyway. I had a grown out balayage and came in for a refresh. After bleaching, one of the other stylists mixed the toner for my hair after my stylist asked her to. She mixed it and when my stylist asked her what toner she used she told her that she would only tell her if it came out good. She said if it came out good she would tell her the formula, but if it came out bad she wouldn't tell her...I didn't love this comment as it felt like it was at my expense..what do you mean, bad? Unfortunately it came out too warm. I needed to be toned again. They were helpful in accommodating the correction which I appreciated but that came with some tension. The vibe was a bit uneasy from the start but it was only worse when I got to the wash bowls the second time. They only have two bowls (which some workers made clear was an ongoing issue) and after some obvious tension between a couple of the stylists, one literally told another to "use your brain". I wasn't 100% happy with my hair but it got to a place where I was comfortable. I honestly just wanted to get out of there. I had really high hopes for this place but after this experience, I would not come back. read more
