Went in today to get my ends trimmed and thin out. She showed me about 1inch needed to be cut. I agreed and she just kept cutting and cutting. I mentioned that it looked short and asked her you only cut an inch off right? She goes no it was more like 3 to 3.5 inches. My jaw dropped. She goes it's still long. I told her I didn't have straight hair, I have curly hair so it goes even shorter. When she started to thin my hair out, I explained how someone has done it before and messed up my curls. She explained that the way she was doing it was not the top layer but underneath and it was like she was giving me layers. I have curly hair, I do not need layers! I just need my hair thinned. This place is horrible. They cut my sons ear during a haircut service and the hair stylist never apologized nor did any manager call to talk to us. Than we come again and she has an attitude the whole time and is rolling her eyes. She's tall and has her hair in two braids and wears glasses. Husband got his haircut today 11/10. He asked for a simple fade with a hard part and the results were absolutely horrifying. He had no idea what his hair really looked like until he got home and showed me. I called them to let them know how horrible it looked and the person "Jill" had an attitude with me over the phone. Jill then referred me to "Leona" their manager and she also had an attitude over the phone. We had to go to another Great Clips to get it fixed. What a waste of time and money. My husband tipped Jill which makes me wonder why?? If they clock in, do a horrible job and offer the bare minimum to make it right and still go home with tips? Yeah, no, never coming back here. I'd give them A NEGATIVE 100,000,000 stars if it were possible. Call and talk to a manager after I go get mine fixed and Alex tells me that she'll talk to the GM when she's in that following morning. I went to a different stylist and had her refix it. I'll be going back to that studio as it took the woman over an hour and a half to get my hair to lay right and cut properly. Now when I wash/blow dry it, the hair falls right into place the way I wanted it to. Granted it's too short, as JOHN cut it WRONG and then in order for her to fix it she had to cut it shorter. What a mess of a place. Call Alex this Friday (11/6) and Saturday (11/7) as now it's been a week and she's been promising her GM will call me and let us know if we're getting our refunds and tips back. Still waiting. I'll call corporate if this doesn't get resolved and we don't get our money back. Don't go here. Don't waste your time coming to this horrific place. Oh, and one of the other Great Clips I called prior to going here was much worse. Asked them a few questions and only got the answer "Well, we cut hair". Stay away from cheap joints like this. Fiancé went to get his hair cut before he flew home to see his family and the lady who cut his hair told him that his hair cut was "tedious" and decided to cut it her way. His hair cut is not faded at all you can tell she got lazy and did the bare minimum. She also decided that she was going to use hair cutting service as her therapy session and decided tell my fiancé how there was a new great chips at Nellis Air Force Base and continue to bash her coworker that was Moving there, not knowing that he is active military. North Las Vegas has a lot of active duty and as someone who works in the Human Resources this is not work behavior. read more

Signed in online. App let me know I had 15 minutes. Waited 30. My hairdresser seemed nice enough, talked pleasantly and treated me with respect. I requested my normal cut from their data base. Looked good in the chair. Got home and washed my hair. Had really high spots in several areas like it was only half cut. I can't blame it all on the hairdressers because I know they are valued by the number of cuts completed by the hour. Never go to this place for the sake of everyone. The workers in that place does NOT listen to the directions and while Brandi was cutting my hair, the paper said square on the back, that shit looks round and ugly and not even to say the least, then she randomly starts trimming my eyebrows which I did not ask for her to do and starts shaving my ears which I did not ask and it made me uncomfortable. During the cut, Brandi was being extremely sassy and rude. Two years ago I checked in online and the website said it would be a four minute wait time, I walked there from my house which was about ten minutes, when I got there I had already been deleted and it was now a 15 minute wait, I ended up having to wait. I have been boycotting them and taking my business elsewhere ever since, I decided to give them another chance since it had been a few years. I again checked in online, got to the store, sat down, and waited for my name to work its way to the top. My name was at the top of the que when someone walked in the store, sat down, and began to flirt with one of the stylists. After she was done with the customer she was helping I should have been next seeing at how I was at the top of the que, instead though she asked the flirter if he was ready and helped him!!!! I have always been satisfied with the haircuts. Now that Naomi cuts my hair, I am more than satisfied. She's quick, accurate, knows what I want, and always cheerful. I have recommended her to three friends who really like her expertise in cutting hair and have also become regulars of the salon. I do check in online before heading over. It's a great service. It takes me 5 minutes to drive there. Usually my name is called within a minute or two of my arrival. I think the longest I have ever waited was approximately 10 minutes. Terrible! They can't even get a trim right. Went in over the weekend, the lady took less than 5 minutes with me, cut a straight line across my back and called it a day. She was more worried about selling me on products and talked the entire time about that. I kept asking her if she was going to trim up the front but she gave me some bs about why she shouldn't. I've never had such a terrible trim, thank god I didn't ask for something more difficult. I could have saved the money and asked my husband to do it for the amount of time she spent on me. It is unfair and unjust to the hardworking people who bring services to consumers like us. Because of groundless and misleading reviews written on yelp by unqualified individuals, the entire integrity of yelp is compromised. Not only do low quality reviews damage the reputation of yelp but also the hearts and feelings of the people that work and benefit the society. First, my family and I have used the services provided at this store for years and trust the workers/manager to provide high quality haircuts delivered in a professional and comfortable setting. Our experiences were always positive and NEVER once did we receive any form of bigotry or insult (FYI, we are not a caucasian family). In fact, the workers, especially the manager, is very sweet and performs her job with utmost talent. Second, there is absolutely no way that the manager would insult veterans because, she has mentioned to me before that both her husband and father were veterans with over 25 years of military service to this country, combined. Because of their dedication to this country, they were wounded and living with disabilities. I find it very hard to believe that she would insult ANYBODY, let alone a veteran. Overall, Yelp should be a source that provides accurate reviews of service places. It is not a place to act out, bully, nor provide misleading details. I cannot say that everything is perfect in this store and that there will be differing opinions amongst reviewers, however, please refrain from posting groundless false accusations. This was the worst experience I have ever experienced. I walked in as I had checked into the salon, 1 girl was working, 2 others were at the cash register checking out customers. I was expecting them to great and ask if I had checked in, no one bothered to help me. I sat down hoping they'd acknowledge me, no effort. After 15 min of sitting and patiently waiting, customers walk in and were greeted and asked if they checked in, some did and did not. Those that walked in were assisted and brought back for their hair cut as I'm still waiting for my acknowledgement and considering I had already been checked in way before the new arrivals. I finally broke silence and spoke with woman cutting hair that I have been waiting, and was told to sit patiently and someone would check me in. Ridiculous service !
