It's located on a beautiful, safe street in the arts district of downtown Dunedin. All the stylists were dressed in black and very put-together. All good signs! I was given a quick tour and seated on time. We discussed my hair goals for the appointment and I was given a detailed price outline before starting. I was offered a beverage and we started the blonding process (bleach and tone + bob haircut). Laura was super friendly and easy to talk to. She gave the best shampoo of my liiiife! I showed up with my hair in a bun and the lady first asked how long my hair was, She said "Wow.. you have a lot of hair". I asked her if she could thin it and she said no. She then went and washed/dried my hair and started cutting. I asked if she wanted me to have my phone out so she could see the picture of what i want again. She said no. All washed/dried/cut now i go home and straighten my hair (how i always wear it). Its COMPLETELY uneven, it looks choppy. Even my boyfriend (you know most guys dont notice anything about the same things) noticed. I had him take a picture so i could see, thats when i freaked, and sent it to some friends to see what they thought. They all said the same thing. "GO BACK NOW". I call not even 10 minutes after being home and the lady sounds like she doesnt even remember me. Finally she says "ok it sounds like i need to see you". I rush back and she said " I dont see anything wrong" "I cant cut dry hair" "Im not sure what you want me to do" " We would have to take off another 3 inches". She then calls over another lady and she says "give me 10 minutes" and thankfully she fixed my hair (not how i imagined it but now its bearable). I have the worst fear of letting people cut my hair for this exact reason, and now i dont think i will ever cut it again.

I sent R Salon a message and Anthony, the owner, responded immediately with openings. One for the the same day which was a Saturday. He also let me know they could take me earlier so I was on my way to Clearwater! Immediately upon entering the salon, I felt so at ease. Anthony was there to greet me and introduced me to Jenna who was going to be my hair goddess. She was awesome! So friendly and personable. She also did an AMAZING job on my hair and did exactly what I wanted. A few caramel highlights in my Wednesday dark hair. She offered wine and of course I couldn't say no. So I sat in my chair waiting for the color to develop, drinking good wine, in great company with the staff and other salon patrons. It was like happy hour in the middle of the day. Jenna did it right, she didn't take any shortcuts. My hair does not develop blonde quickly, but she worked well with it. She was patient and professional. I LOVE the color. And she was able to correct my bad bang job from my previous haircut. I Love my hair! I can't wait to come back here! Parking is super easy, pull into McDonald's and then park in front of building B. You will see the salon on the first floor to the left. It is super easy to find. There is a woman who comes here everyday, and she is the sweetest lady ever. We're lucky his hair is long and can cover how UNEVEN and CHOPPY this "fade" is. On top of things, he felt obligated to tip- 30$ total for an absolutely hack job. Save your money and buy your own razor.
