It was my first time having a balayage touch up done here last month with Avery. I didn't have much of a vision for what I wanted, just knew I wanted brown red tones. Avery was super sweet and attentive to my questions and my preferences. It's always a nervous process meeting a new hair stylist but we clicked really well and she was very reassuring and diligent with her work! I had a very positive experience with her and loved the redness of the balayage at the end. Everyone in the salon hyped me up and it felt like a very supportive environment for the workers and clients! Avery also walked me through how to maintain my hair color, and I have been able to keep my hair red 1 month later with the recommended red shampoo! Not only is the salon adorable, clean, and welcoming - but they have the BEST product selection. Aveda, R&Co., Orbe, and more. They aren't product pushy at ALL. On top of the hair products, they have a lovely assortment of hair accessories, jewelry, candles, lip products, etc on display every time I come in.. and honestly, it's always on trend, awesome quality, and you need it. I love their online booking tool - super easy to use! As for the talent of their stylists - I have never left unhappy with my hair, far from it. I always leave loving what was done and feeling like a million bucks. Each girl I have seen for a service has done an outstanding job and I have loved my hair! I haven't gone anywhere else since! Now that they are located out on 14 Mile they actually have a dedicated parking lot, which is much more convenient. Depending on what was going in downtown Rockford it was sometimes challenging to find parking at the previous locations. It was especially difficult in bad weather or when running a little later. The new location is smaller, but cute and clean. The ladies that work there are all friendly. We've all had some great conversations. I like that they are honest with me about what my hair can and can't do when I come in with a particular idea or photo. I've had previous stylists at other locations that won't tell me that what I have in mind just won't work on my hair type, so I end up unhappy with the end result. With Becky I've tried numerous colors and shades, full highlights, only low-lights, baby-lights, some layers, no layers, trims, 6 in chops, and more. I'm always please with the end result.

This was the ultimate plus since I had a wedding last weekend and did not have to get them redone since they still looked excellent!! Huge bonus! What could be improved: -no music (and no one in the salon besides us) which made for a very quiet (too quiet) experience since I just wanted to relax and not talk much. -the towels used to dry off my legs and feet had some residual hairs on them. The nail tech apologized for this and said they must not have used a dryer sheet. However, it still was kind of gross and happened 3-4 times during the pedicure. -nail color selection could be better but it was fine overall. Not as much variety as other places I've been but still pleased with the color I got. Overall: I am very pleased with the quality of my pedicure (which is most important). I think some logistics of the salon could/should be improved if they went to excel but they are easy enough fixes to make!

He talked to me about what I wanted, what I liked/didn't like about my hair, etc. I'm a fairly anxious guy, especially when it comes to making big changes in how I look, Sin's inviting atmosphere/personality made me feel comfortable asking the questions I wanted to ask and making the requests/adjustments I wanted. Mo was quick to respond and offered to open up shop two hours earlier than what she initially planned on just to get me in. Talk about customer service! Mo is extremely skilled and efficient.
