After booking our winter vacation to the Arrowhead Condominiums, I was pleased to receive an email with instructions about the resort. The day before our arrival, I received another email from Rickley Goodan inquiring if we would arrive on time because the "roads are not good" this time of year. This led me to believe that we should arrive early, since it could be a difficult drive. It did prove to be a difficult drive. We drove in during a storm and it took over two hours to travel the last 60 miles. Luckily we planned ahead and arrived early after ten hours of driving. My four children urgently needed to use the restroom. The following conversation occurred when I walked into the office at 3pm: Me: "Hi, do you have a restroom available?" Valerie: "No" (Silence) Me: "Ok...well I'm here to check-in." Valerie: "Check-in to where?" Me: (Confused. Pointing at Valerie's shirt) "The Arrowhead Condominiums." Valerie: "Well, check-in is at 4pm." (Silence) Me: (Confused) "So should I wait in my car for an hour?" Valerie: (Sat back, rolled her eyes, crossed her legs and let out a deep breath) "Excuse me. What you do with your time is your business. Housekeeping has the units until 4pm. I can check you in but I can't even give you any keys until at least 4. What's your name?" Me: "No thank you, I'll come back." I have never been treated with such DISRESPECT in my life. We have been NEVER heard of a resort not checking somebody in an hour early...or at least have a place for us to sit and wait. When I came back an hour later, I was prepared for more disdain. Surprisingly, Valerie was gone. After explaining to the new employee what had just occurred with the rudest check-in experience I have ever been a part of, the new employee stated, "You could have gone to the Lodge next door. They have a warm lobby, restrooms and hot coffee. It is open to the public." I WAS LIVID. Not only was Valerie the RUDEST person I have ever met, she DID NOT even mention that we could have used the restroom and waited at the Double Arrow Lodge. Other problems we experienced at the Arrowhead Condominiums: · There was a heavy snowfall our first night. The next morning the parking lot and Lodge Way were not plowed until 10:30am. We had planned on skiing in Missoula that day. In order to arrive at the ski resort on time, we would have needed to leave by 8am. We had to cancel our plans. · The second day we were concerned that the roads would not be plowed again. We left a message with the answering service asking to let us know the plowing schedule. Nobody called us back. · We ran out of wood. My wife spoke with a young, female employee in person and ordered more wood. We never received more wood. · During check-in, the employee physically wrote down my credit card number. Apparently there was an issue and it needed to be corrected. On Monday, my wife corrected the issue with the young female employee. On Thursday, I received a phone call, asking if I could come to the office and correct the credit card issue. Apparently, the employees do not communicate. Other Issues: WIFI is slow. You are unable to stream anything. Hot water lasts five minutes. There are security cameras EVERYWHERE. Staff will sit and watch you to try and catch you breaking any "rules." It is painfully obvious that the Arrowhead Condominiums are run by a small group of local people that have no interest in customer service. Valerie was the meanest, grouchiest, MALCONTENT I have EVER met during a check-in process. She should NEVER be allowed to interact with the public again, without serious customer service training. After we left, Rickley sent another email with a list of things we had "damaged." He sent a price list an expected us to pay. After reading other reviews, I realized this is their standard operating procedure. He even threatened to call the police on us. DO NOT STAY HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

My wife and I booked a stay here as a our first getaway after having our baby. The day after our second night, we went to use the hot tub, and this lady comes in screaming at us about how the hot tub was trashed and it had to cleaned. We asked how long it would be down and she said it takes at least 6 hours to fill and heat the hot tub. I checked back later and found out instead of cleaning the facility, they posted a sign that said it would be closed until further notice. I called the number provided and the lady that answered was same one that yelled at me earlier. When I asked for an update on the situation, she started yelling at me on the phone, and started accusing us of trashing their hot tub and if she could prove it we would be charged. Eventually she said she was going to call the sheriff because I was threatening her! I NEVER SAID ANYTHING REMOTELY THREATENING!!! She is absolutely batty! My advise is to avoid this place like the plague! The place next door (Double Arrow Resort) is so much better and they have a pool and spa that they don't mind cleaning either. Also the staff is very nice, they know about hospitality.

The pools are epic!…read moreThe water warm or hot which ever you choose and the pyramid buildings are rad architecture from the before times. The people who leave one and two star reviews must have beef with the owners. That is the only explanation. Sure, they add a $20 resort fee to their daily rates, and they may surprise you with an additional charge for your kid. But even then, the rate (when compared to paying a day rate at another hot spring plus a night in a motel) it comes out even. And while staff is surly, from my experience they get that way from continually reminding people who can't follow the rules what the rules are. Again and again and again. It would be enough drive anyone crazy. Yes, there are too many kids screaming, spashing and throwing footballs and balls to their dad who is standing way too close to you for comfort. But the water feels good. The recently renovated rooms are fine. Ours had a fridge and a microwave and features well made beds, nice comforters, lots of pillows and a beautiful view out to the mountains. Do not be afraid. The Fairmont is fine.

Not only is that not helpful, but the lack of urgency or basic customer service was pretty wild. Access to your building shouldn't depend on timing it between arts and crafts sessions.

During our first visit, the door to the room assigned to us was propped open, most likely by housekeeping when they cleaned the room. During the second visit, the bed was not made. Both times the front desk personnel apologized and comped us with breakfast buffet from their lobby restaurant. The hotel is an older property with 2 or 3 floors. Both times the replacement rooms were okay. It was exactly what we wanted, a room with 2 queen beds. The bathroom appeared a little dated. The room was adequate for our needs. If they only gave us these rooms first. Instead of a lounge, this hotel has a "Pantry" where elite Marriott members could grab some snacks, like beef jerky and chips, and drinks and yogurt from their refrigerator. An espresso maker was also available. They also had a freezer with ice cream. The had danishes and other breads for breakfast. I liked having access to the lounge. It's an okay property, if housekeeping behaves. 3 stars.
