I live in Louisville but we came to this theater because it was the only one showing a certain movie that we wanted to see. I'll admit that I am spoiled with our near-home theater having the reclining seats and XD theaters.... But, as long as you don't need all the thrills this place is still pretty nice! Their seats are still pretty nice, they are a little more of an upgrade than the standard theater seat. I was surprised of their large variety of concessions, and was really excited to see that they had cheeto popcorn (regular and hot!) Something I hadn't seen anywhere else. We had a nice time here. While I wouldn't go all the way to New Albany just for this theater, if you live nearby or if they are exclusively showing a certain film throughout the area, then it is a great place to go. read more

A movie theater like no other...giant sized screens, outstanding surround sound that will blow you away. We were late for the movie so we didn't get concessions however the smell of the popcorn was delicious. The restroom area was spotless! Wait until you get to your seat...sit down recline and enjoy the movie. Comfortable, all I needed was a blanket! Admission is $10.00 they do have discounts. For more information visit their website. This Regal Cinemas is near my home, so it's tough for me to choose to go somewhere else. It has the same flaws that result in me not going to the movies particularly often these days, even though it used to be my favorite leisure activity: Tickets and concessions are both obnoxiously high, and crowd control is inadequate. But this is still a lovely theater. Picture and sound are great, and in the stadium seating era, the tall person sitting down in front of you no longer spells doom. So if you live near this theater, you won't be disappointed. read more

I live in Old Louisville and this is the second closest movie theatre to me. While I am very partial to another local theatre (the closest one to me), I also enjoy this Indiana choice when the show times/movie selections point me here. The staff I have interacted with have been nice and even accommodated me recently when my friend was still on the way and I didn't want to miss the previews. He kindly said I could leave the ticket at the front desk with him for when my friend arrived. Thanks! A matinee just isn't a matinee anymore.....luckily I can work out for movie bucks. The price to watch a movie is now an arm and a leg and well after 6:00 you might as well plan on taking out a loan and you can forget about the popcorn, candy and drinks cause that's more than a meal! I have to say this theater is very well kept clean and they do not allow riff raff in to ruin a family night! Seating were comfy and ample parking. I actually did not get to cold either (which is always a plus) Overall this is a nice theater, just hate to pay the price for something I can rent for 1.50 in a month read more

A nod to what movies were like when I was growing up, doesn't offer a huge selection of food. Not all that visible, it's only a place you go if you know it's there (as evidenced by the lack of business info on yelp). But it's close and near to plenty of places I go so I love it. read more

Great Escape Theatre - Cinema Near Me - Clarksville, Indiana

The theater's exterior looks pretty dated and the seats are OK but it's an expensive experience for what it is. We went to a 7pm showing of Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 on a Wednesday night and it was $15.45/person for a 3D showing -- seems kinda steep for a weeknight. We ordered online through Fandango and had to pay a convenience fee for that (~$3) bringing the total to almost $34. I just compared it to a theater in Louisville that is new and has fancy reclining seats and the one in Louisville is cheaper for the same show and 3D experience. What's up with that, Indiana? I'm not sure I'll order online again for this theater because on a weeknight no one is manning the area where they rip your ticket, give you 3D glasses, and show you where your theater is. We still had to get in the normal ticket line to get our 3D glasses. It seems counterproductive to order online and get slapped with the "convenience" fee as well, only to be standing back in the normal ticket line and having to deal with people. Close Theater to Downtown Louisville! This theater is located right across the bridge in Indiana. They use the Regal rewards card so you can earn points for snacks and movies. Unfortunately the prices match any other Regal chain theater so expect to shell out $15 for soda and popcorn. The theater is always very clean and has stadium seating in every theater. Cinema is located near all the shopping malls if you want to make a day of hanging out in Indiana! read more

Went today. It was expensive. I bought popcorn and asked what they had to drink that was non-carbonated, they had nothing. I can not drink carbonation. So I had to eat popcorn with nothing to drink. They could put some of the bottled sweet tea or juice in their refrigerator. The seats were nice and comfortable. read more

I just want to inform you that this theater has bed bugs. I was there yesterday to see Hellboy. When I spotted bed bugs. I made a quick b line to the door. Please get rid of the clothes seat and carpet. This place is a breeding ground for these bugs. We the customers pay good money to see a movie not to take home those damn bugs. I will not be back . I had a gift card to this theater so I drove across the bridge to Clarksville. Its clean and convenient to Louisville but be advised it cost significantly more than other theaters in Louisville. I paid $34 to take my family to see a weekday matinee! $34 for a 3p show! That's compared to $27 and $28 at two other Louisville theaters showing the same movie. No Kids tickets. I can look past $8+ for popcorn, but no kids'/matinee prices? Not worth the trip. Two stars for clean. Zero stars for price. read more
