Because I live very close to another local theater, I had never been to AMC Stonybrook 20. My husband and I wanted to see a movie that was only being shown at this theater so it was our first time visiting. We went to a daytime matinee so our experience is based on that timeframe. The lobby was large, clean, and bright. The ticket taker was friendly and directed us which direction to go to find our theater. We found our theater and it was clean without visible trash or sticky floors. We found our seats and were sad to learn that the seats did not recline. We arrived in our theater at the stated time for the show, but had to sit through 20 minutes of movie previews and ads before the feature film. The sound during this time was so loud that my ears were literally hurting and my husband had to totally remove his hearing aids. I sat with my hands over my ears and could still here everything perfectly. Looking around we saw that others seemed to be noticing the same thing. During the feature film, the sound was a bit better, but still extremely loud. The restroom was clean and well-stocked with no trash on the floors. The parking lot is expansive and plenty of spaces were available during the matinee timeframe.

My wife and I went to this theater to take advantage of a senior discount for an early matinee. All right is the best rating I can give at this time between 2-3 stars. The seats were rather uncomfortable and did not recline. My biggest complaint was the excessive volume when the reviews started. I had to literally remove my hearing aids since even turning them to their lowest setting wasn't sufficient. I would only attend this theater if one closer to us did not have the movie we wanted to see.

Took the still parting birthday girl to see demon slayer infinity castle. Won't say anything about the movie.... ‍‍‍‍ So the seats were prepaid for so when we got in there the seats are literally broken lol luckily no one was sitting two more seats over but we did have immediate neighbors and thankfully they understood and were cool with moving one down so we had a shared seat between us (purses snacks blankets iykyk) Theater was clean, extremely loud lol like even though it was about 85% full it didn't help but no one can say they couldn't hear!! Someone behind us and in front of us were on their dang phones the entire movie like seriously... Her pretzels were hard but they happily remade them for her. The chicken tenders were good but only came with 3... and a weird crumb not sure what else to call it. Popcorn was good even if not salted. One of the soda machines had nothing available but thankfully one other one was working. She did her slushy thing lol It's a good theater, hopefully they can fix the seats that are broken soon, since we have to go back for a few more movies coming out we're looking forward to!!!

The concession stand was horrible. Paid $11.44 for popcorn only to receive burnt end of the barrel popcorn. It hurt my gums, I went back 3 times trying to get fresh popcorn they never popped anymore the 3 hours I was there. Im not sure if there was shortage or what. I go to movies to enjoy the fresh popcorn, not necessarily to watch the movie. I was very disappointed in this theater.

2 empty six pack beer bottles in the parking lot

This movie theater has hit skid row and the community knows it. Last night at 7:30 pm is prime time for movie venues, but not this place. The front lobby was empty and felt like a ghost town. When I turned into the parking lot, I passed a parking lot sweeping truck. When I was walking in the parking lot, I saw two empty six pack of bottle beer bottles on the ground. The outside garbage cans near the entrances had big stains on the sides on them. The elderly lady who scanned my ticket looked to be working to supplement her social security check. She was nice and explained where to go. I am glad I ate before coming, because I can't eat in a nasty place. Once I got to my seat, all of them were dirty. The seats had crumbs on them and the back of the chairs had dried up liquid stains. When I sat in my seat I noticed a strong musty smell and at one point I felt something crawling on me. This will be my last visit here. Things here are out dated, dirty, and dingy.

With so many options in a Louisville area for movies and theater experiences Tom has unfortunately passed this place by. This is the first place I took my wife on a date back in 2007 so it will always hold memories for me. However, I took my daughter here the other day to watch a movie and this theater is lacking. The seats are outdated and the bathrooms were disgusting. The floors were dirty and it was not crowded. This place needs a lot of love so hopefully it will improve soon.

Took the family here Jan 1 for Willie Wonka movie. Place looked empty. Kids and wife wanted Popcorn and soda. The entrance tickets were almost $45. With popcorn and sodas another $35. The Popcorn was stale and OVER SALTED. They said that's how it comes. Horrible just horrible. With sodas they gave us cups and we filled ourselves. Just when you thought it couldn't get worse the soda machine was out flavors and had to find one with syrup otherwise tasted just like carbonated water. NEVER coming here again. Should have gone by instinct just like Restaurants: if it's NOT busy, walk away and go elsewhere.

Random hole in the floor. This was place was in serious disrepair and decrepit throughout.

An usher approached and offered the option of a complimentary upgraded ticket closer to the stage, which was a nice surprise. Truly feel there are no bad seats in this venue and sometimes bring my small binoculars to see if I'm missing anything (typically I'm not), but usually just sit back and enjoy the great audio quality with no complaints. My only grievance is toward fellow seemingly entitled, self-absorbed, impolite patrons who arrive late for the shows, typically with phone flashlights turned on bright who clumsily attempt to find their seats. They seem oblivious to stomping over other patrons in their quest to access seats they had selected in the middle of the row, loudly talking, and flashing blinding lights around. Rude, Rude, RUDE. I wish theaters would institute holding patrons at the door for specific entry into the theater as a group, perhaps 15 minutes into the show. Also, if you're 30 minutes late to an only 1-hour show, it'd be nice if it was either denied entry or perhaps directed to the back rows of the venue. End of rant. :)

Ok, I haven't experienced better (yet) because this was my first ever nerdy-con-thing. This was a…read moreterrible first impression of a Con. This event was a shit show. The very model of a shit show. The level of disorganization, absolute absence of communication and helpful information.....they had to have *TRIED* to make it that terrible. Endless lines for photo ops, that really meant nothing anyway since they just kept moving you to other lines and forming new lines. Obscenely late and delayed starts to photo ops and purchasing of photo op tickets (because the credit card machines were down...well fine, take the people who can pay with cash so you can actually do something and get people moving). Based on Twitter, they treated the celebrity guests with about as much disdain as the event attendees, forgetting them in their rooms, at the airport, cancelling their events. I doubt most of them would return. I wouldn't want to. And if celebs and agents share their industry information, I can't see this event lasting much longer before none of them will agree to show up. FandomFest has an active Facebook and Twitter account that was information filled in weeks and months leading up to the event. But they were dead and silent the whole weekend. No updates from them at all. Even AT the venue, there was no information posted when a panel was cancelled. Just no one was there. And nothing put on their sites. Then there was the FandomFest "staff" telling attendees that they weren't allowed to Facebook or Tweet about their bad experiences. Excuse me? You can't tell me to do that. And to top it off, the schedules that they posted online, the times and prices of everything...they were ALL wrong. Not that it mattered anyway....nothing started on time or even close to it (my noon photo op eventually *started* around 3pm). And then, instead of man-ing up and taking responsibility for a crappy event, apologizing or acknowledging that he should make changes next year, the event organizer deleted comments from the facebook page and just blamed the "minor" issues on "growing pains." I met a lot of out of town and out of state visitors and attendees. I am embarrassed that this may have been their only impression of our city. Louisville can do, and deserves, so much better. I gave this 2 stars because, while it was a colossal waste of time and money, I *did* eventually get to meet, hug and get my photo taken with the Boondock Saints. But that was the *only* thing I was able to do, and I am not sure if it was worth it.

Sunday morning I went back to the photo area. When I arrived at the KICC, I found some fans…read moreactually lined up all of the way outside the building for their photos. But there did seem to be a more organized system to get these photos completed. On Sunday, I only spent approximately 2.5 hours in line for photos-an improvement from the day before. However, when it came time to pick up the photos, they were not ready and I was told to check back at 5 p.m. So I waited around with no place to go as we had already checked out of the hotel. I went back at 5 and was told it would still be a minimum of another 2 hours before the photos were ready. Having to return to work on Monday and having a two hour drive ahead of me, I could not wait an indefinite period of time to get these photos. I ended up being told to write my name and address on my ticket stubs and that they would be mailed to me. Up to this point, I have not received them, but it has only been one week. In short, this event was complete and utter chaos. There was a terrible lack of communication and completely clueless staff. Some of the volunteers tried to be helpful and others were just plain rude-maybe to their frustration at the lack of information. There was no helpful signage ANYWHERE. This had to have been the most disorganized event I have ever attended. Between hotel, VIP ticket, costume, gas and food, I spent between $800-$1000 to attend this event and spent the majority of my time standing in lines like cattle. My first con-and I doubt I will ever go to one again. I was shocked when I returned home to see so many negative tweets from other frustrated attendees with exactly the same complaints. If this con is this organized two years in a row, why would anyone ever think you might get it right in the future?
