Awesome place to rent and was fast and easy .. I rented two portacool and for the price that no one could beat

I am a wedding planner and used them back in Nov 21 They were 3 hours late to the set up and i had to call 20+ times to finally reach someone who told me that I had the wrong time that they were supposed to be there at 5 (that's after the ceremony) I told them no that when i called the week before to confirm we agreed on 1:00pm so i had time to set up the centerpieces. They finally showed up at 3:45 and i had to push the ceremony back 30min to 5pm and rush to finish setting up the reception site. They clearly did not want to be there. They dropped the chairs and tables on top of my decor. No apologies. Not a care. The linens were not steamed or ironed. Me and my wedding staff set up the remaining chairs and linens as they only did half. After unloading they left a mess which we had to clean up. As they were SLOWLY setting up, they were cursing and talking bad about the wedding within earshot of the wedding party. They showed up early to pick up the tables and chairs. It was 2 guys and a girl. One of the guys was clearly drunk or on drugs stumbling. He couldn't walk straight and could barely stand. He dropped chairs on top of tables breaking my decor. He dropped tables while moving them coming dangerously close to hitting other vendors and guests. Another member of the rental staff went and talked to him and the intoxicated guy went to the truck and passed out in the driver's seat while the other 2 finished packing up. They were very inconsiderate while packing up their truck. They blocked off the entire loading area preventing all other vendors and guests from loading. Everyone had to park at a distance just to load and get out of the venue. I tried calling the following week a few times to report my broken decor to the company but once again the phone just rings. We will NOT be using this company for any events again nor recommending them to any vendors or clients! read more

They were super kind and helpful. I had made arrangements for my daughters father to pick up the tables and chairs Saturday morning. He thought they closed at 2 instead of 12 so by 12:30 He was asking for the address, I had told him it was too late & they closed at 12. He called great event rentals and they waiting about an hour for him to have enough time to pick them up. I will definitely be renting from them again their service was AMAZING. read more

We rented 5 tables with linens for our company Christmas party on Friday. Drop off of the rented items was requested for Saturday at noon. When the items were returned a form was also signed indicating that they had been returned.The entire process of renting, paying picking up and even drop off was smooth and we had zero issues. That was until Monday morning when the manager, Allison, began calling our office demanding to know where the tables and linens were and why they had not been returned. She even went as far as stating to our receptionist, who had no idea what was going on since she did not rent the tables, that she was going to charge our card on file extra because the tables had not been returned. Allison then proceeded to call back again this time yelling and being extremely rude at who answered the phone wanting to know where the tables were. Again, the staff to our office has no idea what is happening because they were not involved in the rental. Not once did Allison ever check her inventory to see that the tables and linens had been returned on Saturday as requested. So at 5pm on Monday she still had not checked her inventory and simply assumed the items had never been returned. Her entire rampage could have avoided if she would have just did her job and checked her inventory. Once I received the messages that she had left I called Great Events and didn't receive an answer so I emailed the coordinator I had been dealing with the entire rental process. Tuesday morning I received a snarky email from Allison stating she was the manager and went into details about why she was calling and when she called. Never acknowledging that the items had been received and it was her error for not checking. Instead placed the blame on us for not returning her call immediately to confirm that tables had been returned and then blaming the warehouse people for not being able to confirm that the items were returned on Saturday. She proceeded to go on and on about how she did not scream at our staff and that she never screams and if the person answering our phones felt she was screaming that it was a miscommunication. This entire situation could have been avoided if Allison would have just done her job first thing Monday morning and checked her inventory to see that all items were returned as requested. Instead she assumed they had not been returned and went on a tirade for absolutely no reason laming her own customer. This is extremely poor management and customer service on Allison's part. A sincere apology goes a long way and not a snarky email blaming your customer for your lack of communication with your staff. read more

Working with Great Events was a pleasure up until the day of my event. The staff was courteous, accommodating and professional. Unfortunately, none of this actually matters if you do not receive the service you request during an important event. I chose Great Events specifically because they offered set up and tear down at a reasonable cost. My venue had tables and chairs we could rent cheaper and without a delivery fee, however since no one would set them up, I elected to pay more to utilize Great Events. My wedding day came and the set up and tear down crew had 0 knowledge they were setting up. This wouldn't be that big of a deal EXCEPT we showed them a copy of our invoice showing payment for set up. They pretended they would do it and when my father, who was supervising the setup, went to his hotel to shower, left. Repeating, on my wedding day, the setup crew, after seeing an invoice including payment for setup, pretended they would do it and then left without completing the task. The bridal party and my father, fully dressed in wedding attire ended up setting up for the event, which made everyone sweaty and put us behind schedule since we did not find out until after my father returned that they abandoned the job. The main office, always respectful, offered a refund on set up and tear down, which I accepted and they processed promptly, however this is not enough. My father looks like a sweaty tomato in the wedding photos, I spent more using this service even with the refund than I would have without setup and they essentially made it so my bridal party and my father had to work on my wedding day. I paid so everyone could relax on the wedding day and Great Events added 100x to everyone's stress. Will never utilize this service again and implore every one of you to use any of the other amazing rental companies in the area. read more

I have used these guys for years. Everyone here is so accommodating. The linen choices are outstanding. The service is top notch. Christina has ALWAYS been great to me. She bends over backwards for me when I have needed her most. ( Fyi: she does it for everyone cuz these guys are awesome! ) I've used these guys as a business forever, but today, I used them on a personal level. Close friends wedding day: I messed up and needed 2 more linens on a day they were closed. How can I be so dumb? I checked my list a million times. How could I forget 2 of the most important linens? Anyway, I text Jenny on her cell, which she gave me just in case of an emergency. Again, outstanding service! She easily could have said no. EASILY! I totally would have understood. She basically said, "No problem! I will take care of you! I'm going to be there so I'll make sure you have what you need." Jenny, thank you! You are a ROCKSTAR! After she did not check her returned inventory she proceeded to harass us and when she finally did realize she was in the wrong, she never once apologized, instead placed the blame on us for not calling her back. It is very disappointing that this company would not refund a bride's deposit for her upcoming wedding which was cancelled due to the restaurant dining area being closed due to what is happening in the nation. Per the contract, indicates that the event had to be cancelled 30 days out for refund which is beyond the bride's control at this time. The bride did not cancel the contract, the venue and the President of the US made this decision and still this owner is unaccepting of this situation. I highly recommend to all to not book with this individual for any future events. He should know what brides must be feeling with what is happening and this is not an act of war or terrorism but something that is no one's fault. With people losing their jobs, this bride wants to help the community with the refund and her self during this time of need. This owner, named Larry is unprofessional and how is he going to feel when he has to lay off his employees with no business happening in the next couple of weeks. We used Great Events to fill in the blanks for our wedding reception needs. We rented a dance floor extender, gold chargers and napkins (we used table linens from our catering company). The ladies at Great Events allowed me to drop by before making any reservations and check out the colors of the chargers and the napkins to be sure the matched our needs. The process to reserve everything was super easy and the drop off of the items the day of our wedding went flawlessly. I'd definitely recommend them for your party rental needs! read more

Such terrible customer service. Called to complain about terrible delivery and left message only to have to call back after receiving no response for two days. After speaking with the owner about the damage caused by their delivery and pickup his solution could not of been more minimal. Did offer to pay for damages but that's all. Feels he deserves full payment for terrible service. I should of saved the delivery charge because the service was so not worth it. read more

While I was planning for my fall wedding, I contacted the competitor before contacting Great Events. They gave me a certain price (mind you, I have never rented chairs so I went in blind). As there was still time to plan I decided to give Great Events a call to get their quote. Great Events gave me a far better deal and worked with the restricted set-up hours I had for the McNay wedding. I contacted the competitor and they could not match Great Events. Katrina was extremely helpful and the crew set up and broke down the chairs on schedule. Thank you! read more

I went the Great Events Rentals to reserve tables, chairs, and flatware for a surprise birthday party I was having for someone a month in advance. Jenny went over the options on what they had available for rent and I signed the contract. Once I left I sent an email letting her know that the delivery had to be at 4pm so the guest of honor would not be at the house during delivery. A week before the event I call to confirm everything is good to go. That's when she tells me that there's an extra charge on top of the delivery charge to lock in a particular time. I asked her if she received the email I sent her and why she didn't mention that when I paid for the rentals initially? She then proceeds to tell me she never received the email despite me showing it to her. I ended up paying the additional $100 because I didn't have a choice since the event was a few days away. The chairs and tables looked great but the customer service is highly lacking at Great Events Rentals. read more
