To my entire Latino community: Please avoid this place; they'll take your money and charge you for absolutely everything--even for laughing. They extracted my son's tooth--even though they didn't know how to perform a root canal--and then sent him elsewhere to have it done. After charging him over $600, he had to pay another $2,200 at a different clinic for the actual root canal procedure. When he returned, the crown was supposed to be covered by the initial payment, but--after already ripping him off--they charged him for the cement used to attach it. You wouldn't expect them to just leave the crown loose, right? In the end, they charged him far more money. As a father, I feel like I've been held up at gunpoint on the street. Don't throw your money away or let these unscrupulous people scam you. This business shouldn't be allowed to keep ripping off retirees or those of us who work so hard to earn a living. Don't let these dishonest people take the money you've worked so hard to earn. read more

Real bad experience, the staff are nice, but the receptionist is rude and doesn't like to be questioned. I was charged $33 on my first visit that my insurance supposedly does not cover, (This is BS). The receptionist would huff and puff whenever I ask questions about the billing. Horrible, don't even call for an appointment. First, they made me call my insurance company TWICE to prove I had authorization. So, my insurance company had to call and appease the clerk who insisted she have proof of authorization before she would give me an appointment. I finally got my appointment. They will switch your appointment leave you a voice mail but not really care if you know that it was changed. Why are they switching appointment times? It is to accommodate friends. I have no idea why they switched my appointment time; they were open and taking patients and let me sit there for an hour without telling me my appointment was changed. I watched three people walk in and go before me. That's when I found out my appointment was changed. So why would anyone want to make an appointment and then have it switched for some unknown reason. read more

Worse place ever. If I could leave a less than 1 star review I would. I called on Friday because I was experiencing incredible pain. Told them that & they still wouldn't get me in before Wednesday, 9 am. 2 calls later & I wound up with a Wednesday 4 pm. I have stage 4 lung/liver cancer which I explained. I also explained it was now an emergency because I had to go to Tampa (Moffitt) for chemo. All I needed was for them to file down my crown which was too high. I walked out - no, flew out - with the exact same pain I went in with. All they did was hand me an estimate for over $1800.00. I'm dying you morons. I'm just looking for a little pain relief. Worst experience at a dentist office. Receptionist was rude when I asked for my Drivers license back from the dental assistant since she didnt give it back to me while I waited for 15 minutes up front. I thought all the xrays were covered but they werent. Had to pay extra $43 which i didnt know til the rude receptionist made a big fuss because no one told me and didnt have me sign the treatment plan at the end of the visit. Dentist did not explain why I needed three crowns so the assistant and hygentist had to show me which tooth needed them .I informed the rude receptionist I will be going somewhere else for treatment. read more

I was in the waiting room when they called my cellphone to tell me I had missed my appointment. I explained I was there 5 min early and had been waiting. This was at 5 min past my appt time. The receptionist had forgotten about me. Then the hygenist that took me back complained because I had to use the bathroom, saying we have to speed things up. I let her know quick not to take their scheduling problems out on me. (There was no bathroom in the waiting area). When I went to leave, the hygenist made sure to let me know "see, my next patient is here", laying their scheduling problems and their being short staffed issues on me. When you go to the dentist you should be as comfortable as possible, you should be put at ease not confronted with staffing issues and talked to with attitude. read more

OMG what a fiasco, what a waste of time. It started with making an appointment. Online, u only get a time frame of morning or afternoon -thats not making an appointment-I picked monday morning. A person would call me back. I waited and waited, Monday morning I get a call to make an appointment-whaaattttt? Ok I guess wednesday morning . (so if someone would have a FT job, u would have to take two half days off just to accommodate their stupid scheduling system???. Anyways, Mrs Kunstler the dentist wasnt going to approve to have my teeth cleaning unless she can poke my gums and measure depth. I said nicely no, u will not poke my gums! It hurts and serves no purpose other then to scare people and upsell me periondontal disease treatment. She refused to proceed, I said then we are done here. She did say can I schedule you for the two crowns. OMG F*ck you lady! So much for my new dental insurance ,I guess I go back to Riverdale and have my teeth cleaned for cash $90 (great cleaning, xrays and Examining (without poking my gums )hmmmm and then after cleaning dentist there examines me WOW what a concept!). read more

WORST experience I have EVER had at a dentist's office! The Dental Assistant, while doing my cleaning, decided I "bit too much" and needed a shot of Novocaine. She missed my gum and put the needle though my tongue. She then yelled at me and told me I needed to stop "squirming around and quit". The entire staff was horribly rude and I would NEVER suggest anyone go here. Overall, this office is very impersonal and main goal is to get people in and out as fast as possible. That in itself is not a horrible thing if that's what you are looking for. However, during my last visit, I had to sign off on everything being done that day and the costs associated with each. I was told verbally and given a paper that indicated my visit was 100% covered by insurance. When I went to check out, they informed me that they "forgot" to tell me that it wasn't all covered, and now I owe a bunch of money. Very dishonest, especially when they make you sign off on procedures and costs ahead of time. Nobody is very friendly and not willing to even own up to their own mistake. Definitely will not be returning and caution others to double and triple check what you will actually be paying for your visit. read more

Have had a lot of major dental work done over the years. This is one of the worst places I have had the misfortune to be treated at. I needed 4 teeth extracted, then a partial plate placed. I recently went to this location to get a tooth taken out. This is not the normal GE location I go to but they had an opening and my tooth was loose. Well first my experience at this location went well. The office itself is pretty small and you can see all the other patient in a line. (No real dividers) I waited for about 30-45 mins before I was attended too while he (doctor and only male on staff at the time) was taken care of other patient which you can clearly see. The dentist (Dr. Amit Khetan) was great and took my tooth out like nothing. I was told by office staff my insurance "covers" most of the work needed and they handled me a sheet to sign with what was and not covered. I paid those charges upon completion on-site and went about my way. I was asked to return within a week to get a check up due to the dentist needing to check my stitches and for my 3 year X-ray reexamination which again would be covered under insurance. Well I went to that location again and everything went well. I again sign some papers stating the X-ray is covered no payment was required since it's been 3 years since my initial X-rays. This is where is gets bad. Within two weeks of my initial tooth removal I received an invoice for almost 275.00 dollars. I called the location and spoke with the office manager. She stated the services provided were in fact not covered and that the paper provided during my visit were just "estimates". Which is not what the ladies told me while I was in the chair. Office manager Jessica stated that was not the case "because her girls know better" and she could not verify due to her not being at work that day. She told me she'll need to contact corporate to get approval on a discount. I provided all my information to keep me updated. About a week later with still no word I called back. Spoke with the office manager again and she told me she just received an email for an approval on the discount. Jessica asked if I wanted to pay over the phone in which I decline due to having an account on the website. She mention the website will have the update information and I can pay online if I like too. Well now it's been about 3-4 weeks since my last phone call. I checked online and the charges were not adjusted along with getting charged an additional 75.00 for the X-rays which were supposed to be covered under insurance due to the 3 year requirement. So now I have a bill for about $334.00. I called the location due to billing statements addressing this location for billing question. Was placed on hold for 10 minutes without no check up or update so I hung up. I called back and left a message so atm I'm waiting on a phone call. For the lack of information and extra charges billed to customer after the fact I have to give this location a 1 star. Again the dentist at this location was awesome and professional so thank you Dr. Amit Khetan But the misinformation provided by the office staff is not acceptable practice in my book. I never had a problem with my previous location at pelican preserve. Just seem this location is not well verse with what is covered and not covered. This is my first review on any location ever and sucks it had to be bad. If you read this please make sure you read and ask them before hand to verify with your insurance provider what is and not covered. Make sure you understand that the paper the staff provides you with is an estimate and they can charge you for more after. This was my mistake as I read the previous review I figured due to the time they were written this location may have gotten better well It hasn't. The overall knowledge of coverage here sucks, the location is a little out dated and dark compare to the pelican preserve location. Again thank you to the Dr. Khetan and scheduler (Leila) who fit me in and for those of you that actually read this. I hope for the best when you chose a dentist provider just know this location will most likely not provide you with all the information regarding insurance coverage and we'll send you an additional bill after. All the gals at Great Expressions Dental Center are great!!! The receptionists Leila and Jessica are always cheerful and friendly; they always work with me and my hectic schedule. Abby always puts me at ease and offers money and time saving suggestions. The Dentist Makayla and her assistant (also named) Makayla are so professional and listen to my needs and concerns. They even fixed things the previous Dentist hadn't done so properly without charging me. Clean, modern and convenient location. 6/13/2017, my veneer has fallen off I saved it and asked Great Expression to bond it back on-simple task. Edgardo Castillo MD spent total 45. seconds with me. bond it back no problem. Unfortunately ,2 hrs later the veneer has come undone again, but this time I accidently could not save this one. I called the office as soon as it happened, received call back 1st buss day later, they response was. "there is nothing we can do, if you want new one you have to pay for it". Dr.Castillo's staff cant bond veneer back on-how in hell will I trust him to make me one. I will not be back there again, Dr Castillo cant glue 2 pieces of paper together with superglue-don't waste your time and money for 2nd rate work. read more

Worst receptionist I've ever spoken too. LYNDA was the most rude, disrespectful, and condescending receptionist. When I called to make a appointment I wasn't expecting that type of conversation. The first phone call ended by her hanging up on me and the best part out of my experience was the second phone call. I was so appalled by her behavior that I called right back, told her to cancel my appointment because she was the rude, disrespectful, etc. and demanded to speak to her supervisor. Once I got in contact with the manager and I was telling him what happened and not even halfway through what I had to say, he interrupted me and said what does I want him to do. I was shocked at the level of customer service these people have that I told him to do nothing because they both were a**holes and I hunged up on him. I've seen better customer service at Popeyes for goodness sake. I expected at least the manager to do his job and put his employee in check or apologize for the woman's behavior, but no, I will never go there again and will tell everyone else to do the same since they don't care about their patients. read more
